User talk:Will Pittenger/Archive 8Sandown Raceway imageBrilliant work as ever, slight problem. The version of Sandown you've depicted only came into existance in the mid 1980s. The section of turns 1, 2 & 3 is the old pitlane with the old track continuing further along the front straight, with turn 1 turning left later and heading straight for what is now turn 4. In 1984 a large infield section was created, it's depicted in the previous Sandown map with the dotted line and the corners at the top end of the circuit were different, the final corner coming onto the front straight was more of a right angle but deceptively fast and open, a bit dangerous corner really for long high speed drags down to turn 1. --Falcadore (talk) 02:53, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
