This musicnotes gives Eminems vocal range (though I'm pretty sure he doesn't do an F2) so now you can include Rihanna's as well as his. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 13:19, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Whoever wrote that one has no idea what they are talking about. That range is so wrong, they clearly don't know how the female vocals work, nor Rihanna's. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 13:23, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Are you talking about the article or the web page? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 13:24, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- (edit conflict) No the web page. For a female to sing a range of F2-B3 in a song is ridiculous. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 13:46, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I work for Alex Da Kid as his personal assistant and web developer.
I run his website and all the related content. I understand you keep shutting down our Wiki page. You claim to cite sources and I try to put them in but it never saves. Here is the source: http://www.alexdakid.com/bio — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpb.atl (talk • contribs) 18:05, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Copy and pasting is a violation of Wikipedia and to national law. If you were really Alex da Kid's assistant, you would have known that. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:10, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
so you're saying I need to re-write the bio, just for wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpb.atl (talk • contribs) 20:15, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Plus, you have to provide sources other than just the bio on Kid's website. For all I know, you, claiming to be his web developer, are also his biographer. See WP:SPS. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 20:19, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So every line of text needs to be cited by some outside source other than his original website, correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpb.atl (talk • contribs) 00:24, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Third-party sources are always better. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 01:58, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Have read your comments on the peer review page on the reference citing, and am working on them currently. Have also read your comments on my use of MusicRemedy and DJBooth as sources - the truth is, I don't think that the sites are particularly reliable points of reference, but the problem is that some of these songs in the collaborations table proved extremely difficult to find links for, as they are so unknown that very few reliable websites - or indeed anyone - actually bothered to write about them, except HipHopDX (as is evidenced on many occasions in this table). To cut a long story short, I don't approve of the links, but they're just the best ones available.
Thanks for your continued help! Sufur222 (talk) 18:47, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- The unfortunate thing is, you will have to remove the information and the unreliable references that are cited. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 19:58, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That is true. Actually, on the music video table, I had to remove a few of the videos because the references for them were so awful, so I have done something similar to this before. I'll do that. Sufur222 (talk) 15:34, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there are some things I think you should do in prep for FAC. For the Rude Boy GAR, I was told to replace "-" with en-dash (–) in the Credits and personnel section and in the reference titles. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 21:36, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- What do you mean by reference titles? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:37, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Like, in your references, the title parameter. Do you want to do an edit for each example so you get what I mean? Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 21:39, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Please, that would be nice and helpful. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:40, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I've made three edits. Each shows an example of using en-dash. One for prose, one for in the credits section and one for in the title parameter of references. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 21:45, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- When do we use hyphens then? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:51, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Those dashes are hyphens. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 22:18, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- A hyphen is (-) whereas a dash is (–) or (—). Hyphens are used to connect parts of a word, endashes are for connecting ranges (1991–93) and personnel and ems are for connecting clauses in a sentence. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 22:20, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm just telling you what I was told to do. Maybe if you look on the Rude Boy GAR it might be clearer for you :) Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 22:23, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean " Sorry, notability not quite met yet."
Rackshea (talk) 10:16, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Per General notability guideline and Notability (films), the article has not yet met a list of criteria to have its own article, i.e. enough independent coverage from reliable sources. There will eventually be more information to warrant an article, don't worry. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 17:26, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Penguin. First, thank you about the comments that you have given at the "Rehab" FAC. Even If you oppose I know that you mean only the best for the article. - Thanks about comments, those really hit my head hah :), however I agree with you for all the issues except for one. I'm talking about one that addresses on the music video synopsis. Look at "Irreplaceable" a FA, however, the paragraph about the synopsis does not use a single source. Here I use some sources about the clothes and stuff. I hope you understand what I want to say. :) — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 18:54, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I understand. However, per WP:PLOT, a very brief summary never needs sources, but here you describe Rihanna's look in detail and the second of the two sentences gives a personal interpretation. Not everyone may view it as 40s style. Also, I forgot to mention this, but you don't cite the "scantily dressed" quote. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 19:17, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, but really can't understand you. The brief summary is there, and it's not sourced... however, there are sources for the clothes. And about the "scantily dressed" you are right, I saw now it's not in the source. How can I say about if in a different way? — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 19:27, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't see it. Maybe citing them next to the sentences might help. And you can't really say that quote in anyway without sounding POVish. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 19:34, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Although I've looked through the entirety of the album booklet, I can't find any reference to a liner notes author, or when they were written. Sorry about that. When you've cited the digital booklet for Recovery in the past, you've used Eminem as the author, and do you think he would have complied the digital booklet? He would be an adequate substitute for now, until more information emerges.
Sorry that I can't do any better, but that's the best suggestion I've got. Oh, and my name isn't Sufur. Turn it around, and that's my name. Sufur222 (talk) 15:44, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In all honesty, all the criticism I have faced over the months have made me a much better editor than I used to be. I consider myself a perfectionist, but it's always hard to be that way. Hi there. Seen your work around the FAC and I was wondering if you could please take a quick look at an article I've been working on. It's pretty long, so maybe you can just take a quick scan of a section (intro+ writing and recording, or influence and sound etc) and just let me know what you think. If you're too busy, then that's fine. Hoping to take it to FAC in a couple months (album is still charting, so I'm not too hasty). Orane (talk) 19:12, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello, and nice to meet you. I am not a habitual FAC reviewer, and only look through articles that I actually may be interested it, :). Fortunately, 21 is one of them. The article was well done, but the thing is, under a microscope, issues with the prose are present and some instances confuse the reader. A very thorough copy-edit is my suggestion. If you wanted an idea of what I am talking about, see Talk:21 (Adele album)#Comments for improvement. I have examined the WP:LEAD and Background and conception. the list looks a bit long, but it's always the little issues that are difficult to fix. Great job, and good luck with your next FAC. I am also planning to take an article for FA during the holidays or 2012. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 20:06, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Great observations. It's always so annoying that I can spot these errors in other people's writing, but not my own. I'll respond to and incorporate you changes tonight (I have somewhere to be). Good luck with your FAC nomination, and let me know if I can do anything to help :).
- PS, what interests you about the album? It's been on non-stop circulation on my iPod for months now. ("Set Fire to the Rain" and "Rolling in the Deep" are my favourite). Orane (talk) 20:50, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm in the process of copy-editing my article and will host a Peer review later this year. The thing is, I like the songs on the album, but they have become so mainstream because of the unusual amount of success they have been receiving. I like "Someone Like You". That's my favorite, but I don't mind "Rolling in the Deep" either. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:00, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wikipedian Penguin. I have just been working on some refs in the Born This Way page, and, apart from a few (which I am not fully able to do), they have nearly all been formatted correctly. In such a way, do you think that the page is ready or almost ready to go for GA?
Yours,
--&レア (talk) 14:13, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello, Theologiae. Born This Way is looking much better. I have a few concerns currently, however. First is the references. Unfortunately, there is still a great number of inconsistencies with the formatting (Viacom vs. MTV Networks, Billboard.com vs Billboard, and the list goes on). I think there is much work left on them, which I will be glad to assist with, as soon as I have some school projects out of the way. I also see a few sources that I question their reliability. Second, I think the album lacks a little on the actual production itself, which, even though it's discussed in song articles, should be added here. Currently, there is one small paragraph that solely talks about recording locations. Information such as the origins of recording, writing, and production is valuable information for the development of an album. Third, I may start copy-editing the article this week or next week, because the prose may need some work. Overall, if you ask me, it is a bit distant from GA, but closer than before. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:34, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- I appreciate your willingness to help, but the article does not meet notability guidelines. It lacks sources, has not charted, and did not receive sufficient coverage for a comprehensive article. See also: WP:NSONGS. It has been redirected to SSLP for now. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 17:32, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you, Mags (I can call you that, right? Lol). If you ever need copy-edit assistance, let me know (Only if the article is reasonably short, lol. Lengthy articles bore me, :)). —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 17:27, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Of course you can call me Mags (that's not my real name though. My real-life friends used to call me that.) Lol, okay. I'll try to stick to
long short articles only. Novice7 (talk) 03:59, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Typically, British articles use the format I have changed to in the article. Plus, the infobox also used that format. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 17:50, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oh okay, I was forgetting that Coldplay are from England. And I used that format in the info box as even American articles had it. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon!

Sorry for sending so many messages I just want to talk to you. I just want to know if you like Eminem as much as I do. And Lady GaGa and Royce Da 5'9. And what about Saturday Night Live I love That show how about you? GH200 (talk) 02:20, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- I don't like Yu-Gi-Oh! but I do like Pokémon. Of course, I like Eminem, the greatest rapper alive. Lady Gaga is very unique and has an interesting image, and she has a great voice. Royce, I have to say, is off to a good start. I do not watch SNL. For the sake of keeping my talk page clean and organized, I'd apppreciate if you would post simple messages, rather than the WikiLove, because it is less distracting and cleaner-looking. Finally, I think you should try contributing more to articles than socializing, because that is what Wikipdia is actually about. Then, you can focus on other things, like your user page. I hope you are not offended, good day. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 10:00, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WP. So, I have taken up the GA review of "1+1 (song)". I have added a few comments, I was wondering if you could comment on the article too (or maybe even take up the review? I'm kinda busy and I feel I'm not good in reviewing articles). Thanks, Novice7 (talk) 11:31, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I'll see how far you are into the review and will continue from there :). —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:10, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks buddy :) Novice7 (talk) 04:27, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Penguin, I created a new version of "1+1" here. I removed a few reviews. Tell me, what do you think? Novice7 (talk) 11:46, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Not bad, but my problem is not so much the quantity of reviews, but the overusage of large quotes, which makes the article look a bit messy. But not bad at all. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 11:53, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Yeah, I get what you mean. Well, I should get that draft deleted. Take care :) Novice7 (talk) 11:58, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse my delay in posting further updates on the 50 Cent discography peer review - I have been on holiday for the last week and have been unable to do anything with the page, or any for that matter. Anyway, the final set of comments has been dealt with. Should I now go to have the page nominated, or should I get another user to do a peer review? Or is there more you would like to add? Hi there! :-) I respect your many years of service...and I was thus wondering if you could weigh in here. I know a pretty good amount about the law, and one only describes an incident as "alleged" before a verdict is handed down. The verdict had been handed down (Brown plead guilty to the assault of Rihanna and making criminal threats), thus, the word "alleged" isn't used anywhere in the Chris Brown article after the first paragraph (describing the incident before Brown plead out), nor is the word "alleged" used anywhere in the Rihanna article when describing the assault after it had been through the court system. I am strongly against the use of the word "alleged" in the sentence in question, and I am really hoping you can help us by weighing in. I am making an edit request to remove the word "alleged" from the sentence. Thank you so much for any assistance you can offer!--mikomango mwa! 18:05, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- You don't need an edit request, if you think it shouldn't be there, just remove all instances from the article yourself. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 18:18, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Lol "many years of service". TBH, I made some edits in July 2008, but I retired for almost three years. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:27, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks Penguin!!! And Calvin, I've found it wise to ask someone more senior and important and well-loved and respected than me to make certain edits as opposed to editing myself. It's not worth the hassle. There are too many Wiki-bullies out there...so even if I'm right, I prefer it when someone more important than me is right as well!--mikomango mwa! 19:08, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

--GH200 (talk) 00:59, 31 October 2011 (UTC)I think there should be pages on rappers and singers voices. Like how they sound and about the lyrical content of there music. Cause people like Eminem have voices that one moment they're wierd and then they ae normal like on Relapse his voice is all wierd why is it like that. And on The Slim Shady LP it's all high pitched and cool sounding. And now it sounds normal. I think I'm on to something here. Let me know what you think.--GH200 (talk) 00:59, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I think what we have at the Eminem biography is sufficient. I do not believe too many sources cover Eminem's vocal artistry to warrant a separate article. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 01:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
