Wiki Facts fixer, you are invited to the Teahouse!
Hi Wiki Facts fixer! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from experienced editors like Lectonar (talk).
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
I've reverted a bunch of your recent changes. All of them were either unsourced or not constructive. That's unacceptable! Please be more careful when editing. Robby.is.on (talk) 06:27, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He was born in Germany and has played for a German youth team at international level so he must have German citizenship. What's your source for his Turkish citizenship? Robby.is.on (talk) 13:11, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Wiki Facts Fixer, I'd like to discuss about your edits to the Fenerbahçe S.K. (football) page, specifically Kadioglu's nationality. His page specifically says he's represented the Netherlands at youth level so his nationality should be Dutch in the "current squad" section. I've read another discussion on your talk page that you've done the same to another player. I know Kadioglu's second nationality is Turkish but he hasn't played once for any of their YNT's, so please, unless you have and sourced content proving that your edits are fine please show them, thank you. Oblow14 (talk) 19:34, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, I sourced Udoh with an up to date source, so your logic for reporting me has no sense at all, especially when you continuously threatened me
Nationality is a legal status. It has nothing to do with who you play a sport for.
Nationality/citizenship is a legal status. It has nothing to do with who you play a sport for. This is a simple fact, not open to dispute. And certainly not open to dispute by making entirely unverified claims about something you claim to have read in Wikipedia. We do not cite Wikipedia as a source. If you persist in adding false assertions regarding the nationality/citizenship of sports players, you will find yourself blocked. 86.143.227.147 (talk) 00:52, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my word, look at every single sports man, if they change national team or select a national team, their nationality changes! How is this difficult to understand.
I have claimed to have read? It’s a fact! Look at for example Fenerbahçe basketball Wikipedia: “Note: Flags indicate national team eligibility at FIBA sanctioned events. Players may hold other non-FIBA nationality not displayed.”
As I have already stated we do not cite Wikipedia as a source. Read WP:RS. All of it. And secondly, 'national team eligibility' isn't nationality anyway. Nationality is a legal status. It has nothing to do with who you play a sport for THIS IS A SIMPLE FACT. IT IS NOT OPEN TO DISPUTE. If you are incapable of understanding this, I suggest you spend more time improving your education, and less on making misleading edits to Wikipedia. 86.143.227.147 (talk) 01:34, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Look my friend - where have I used Wikipedia as a source?? I used FIBA
Also Wikipedia STATES that nationality is in line with national team on this website - every player has the nationality and flag of their national team.
Finally, to play for a national team, you MUST BE A CITIZEN OF THAT COUTNRY!!!!THIS IS ALSO NOT OPEN FOR DISPUTE! SO DO NOT INSULT ME ON EDUCATION WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW THE NATIONAL TEAMS WORK!!!
You ask 'where have I used Wikipedia as a source?' And then do exactly the same thing, by telling me what you think Wikipeda says. For the umpteenth time, what you think Wikipedia has to say about nationality is irrelevant. We don't use Wikipedia as a source for articles. Ever. As for FIBA rules on eligibility and nationality, please provide a link to a source that explicitly states exactly what you are claiming, and maybe we might get somewhere. 86.143.227.147 (talk) 02:03, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No you are completely misunderstanding me - I am saying that Wikipedia’s rule says that you put the nationality as the same as the country he plays for whether or not he has a second nationality. That’s why I gave Fenerbahçe basketball Wikipedia page as an example as it specifically states this above the roster
And it’s a simple fact, how do you think some players who are not related to the country are able to play for them, by being naturalised.
It literally states it in FIBA rule which I sent you “In order to play for the national team of a country, a player must hold the legal nationality of that country, and have fulfilled also the conditions of eligibility according to the FIBA Internal Regulations.”
Wiki Facts fixer, you have misunderstood that note on Fenerbahçe Basketball. That tells you how to represent nationality on that table. It does not say anything about how Nationality is determined on articles about basketball players (or anyone else). Wikipedia does not have a rule that says you determine someone's nationality by the national team they play for. Nationality is much more complex than that. You need to go by reliable sources that explicitly state the person's nationality. Some countries recognize dual citizenships. Taking FIBA's rules and using them to determine that Udoh only has Nigerian nationality is original research, which means you cannot use it as the basis of editing Udoh's page Railfan23 (talk) 02:29, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No this is not the case you are the one completely denying Udoh as Nigerian not me, yet you were so clueless on the issue. So you were the one vandalising — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki Facts fixer (talk • contribs)
First, stop with the personal attacks. Now to the substance. I suspect that Udoh holds dual citizenship in the US (where he was born, so he's automatically a US citizen) and Nigeria (which is why he can play for their national team). Unfortunately that is original research, so we cannot include it in the article. We have a reliable source that says he is American, so that should stay in the article. If you have a source that says he also holds Nigerian citizenship, you can cite that source and change the article to say American-Nigerian. But you cannot simply change it to Nigerian, and you cannot make any change without proper sourcing. Please read and follow WP:BLP. Thanks, Railfan23 (talk) 02:35, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The FIBA rules are clear evidence of his Nigerian citizenship, and where is my personal attack here??? To say you were clueless is not an attack because your were unaware he played for Nigeria and then refused my source from FIBA
It is very clearly a personal attack. Comment on content, not on users. Using the FIBA rules to claim that his only nationality is Nigerian isoriginal research. The fact that he is eligible to play for Nigeria says nothing about whether he is also American. You cannot use original research to change articles. Railfan23 (talk) 02:43, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but he is in the Nigerian team so tell me why you didn’t add “American” but you removed Nigerian, when he evidently has Nigerian citizenship. Also why do you not comment on his attack to me then? “If you are incapable of understanding this, I suggest you spend more time improving your education, and less on making misleading edits to Wikipedia.”
It is reliable - He plays for Nigeria - FIBA rule is you must be a citizen of the country therefore he is a citizen of Nigeria. Explain to me how FIBA is unreliable!!!
Furthermore, you should not do any personal attacks towards me like you have done
Wiki Facts fixer, who is "he" in this case? If there is a personal attack on you, that's equally unacceptable. As for why I removed your change from American to Nigerian, it was because you didn't include a source, you simply changed it. When editing articles about living people it is especially important that you cite your sources. Please also read WP:OR as you have been asked to multiple times. This is not about whether the source is reliable, it is whether you are drawing a conclusion from the source that is not directly stated in it. Which is original research. Which is why you cannot use that source to make the change. Railfan23 (talk) 02:55, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Wiki Facts fixer: To be clear, having a general rule from FIBA is absolutely not enough to change the nationality of a person. You need an actual reliable source stating that the person has the nationality. Same thing about removal. You need a specific source that states that the former nationality was renounced. Hope that helps. --McSly (talk) 03:03, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This makes absolutely no sense. If he is a member of the national team and the OFFICIAL FIBA website has an image of Udoh in the team and also Udoh written in the roster and furthermore the official FIBA website writes that you MUST be a citizen of a country to be a member of their national team then there is clear evidence he holds Nigerian citizenship.
Finally why am I being harassed for this, I sourced all my work, yet Railfan23 and the other user both just kept removing him from the Nigerian National team page and removing the section where it says he is a member on his page (not the nationality) when I sourced both. So even my sourced work where I wrote “he is a member of the Nigerian National team for the 2019 FIBA World Cup” is continuously removed even though it is sourced then they are vandalising.
There is clear evidence he is a Nigerian citizen, so he should at least have “Nigerian” added to his page and I shouldn’t be removed, if you have evidence of American citizenship then put Nigerian - American if you want. I have been threatened, insulted and reported for doing no wrong.
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wiki Facts fixer, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
Wow this one is just straight made up, where is my second account? I literally have used this account and only this account - I have never seen so many people gang up on one person over someone who sourced their own edit.
You have no evidence I have done this because it does not exist, which account am I allegedly running other than this. This is absurd, imagine if I just went and randomly claimed somebody for this. I have one account and one account only and this is the account!

It has been found that you have been using one or more accounts abusively or have edited logged out to avoid scrutiny. Please review the policy on acceptable alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. It is not acceptable to use two accounts on the same article, or the same topic area, unless they are publicly and plainly disclosed on both your and the other account's userpage.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Railfan23 (talk) 14:45, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Railfan23 I know it has no sources at the moment, however I do have them ready. I have left a message at Wikipedia talk:Village pump (technical) which you can check if you would like. There was an error with saving each time I tried to add the sources. I’m going to leave it a bit just in case it’s an error with my server/internet and if it doesn’t work again I will ask the other page which I was suggested to ask. Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 14:49, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Railfan23 please can you search on google “Tarık Biberovic Türk pasaport” and can you try to add the source by trendbasket.net and Eurohoops. Because I tried to post the links here but the save just wouldn’t go through. It would be really helpful thank you Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 15:20, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you're having trouble saving, I suggest you try quitting your browser and restarting it. It is possible for the browser to get into a state where it cannot save, and this usually fixes it. You have seven days before the article is deleted under BLPPROD, so there is no rush on getting jut one reliable source for the article. I have done some searches for articles about Biberovic and found mentions on Eurohoops and other places, so it should be easy. Railfan23 (talk) 16:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Restart your computer entirely? It sounds like a problem at your end, since there don't seem to be widespread reports of this happening - if Wikipedia had an issue of this sort you would expect to see hundreds of reports within minutes. Good luck, Railfan23 (talk) 16:21, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried that also, so I am completely unsure what’s happening. Please could you try and add the sources after the word citizenship. That way we can find out if in fact the error is with the new page. If it doesn’t work for you then there’s a definite fault but if it does work for you then we know it’s 100% an error at my end. Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 16:28, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You should note that trendbasket.net is unlikely to be acceptable as a source, per WP:RS policy regarding websites containing User-generated content. And neither trendbasket nor eurohoops.net seem to say anything about Biberovic having 'Turkish parents'. Either find a source which directly states this, or remove it from the article. 86.134.76.164 (talk) 17:30, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've updated the article, removing the proposed deletion, as I have added a reliable source. However, note that the source gives his nationality as Bosnia and Herzegovina. The only sources I can find that he is Turkish are either user-generated content on forums (see the comment above) or reliable sources speculating that he might get Turkish citizenship one day. I can't find any reliable sources that confirm he has Turkish citizenship. And, as noted previously, even if he has applied for and been granted Turkish citizenship, that does not alone mean that "Turkish" is the correct Nationality to put in his article. Railfan23 (talk) 17:36, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
all your edits are about me and only me recently. Your original dispute was his nationality I proved it so you now have to try and find something else. Be unbiased against me on everything and please stop targeting me. You can’t read Turkish and you’re telling me these things...Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 17:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You have been told by multiple Wikipedia contributors, on multiple occasions, that you must provide a reliable source when making statements about the nationality of people discussed in Wikipedia articles. Yet again, you have not done so. This is why people (multiple people, not just me) are discussing your behaviour. And this is why multiple people are discussing whether you should be either topic-banned from any edits involving nationality, or blocked from editing Wikipedia entirely. Ridiculous complaints about 'bias' aren't going to alter that. The only thing you can do, if you wish to continue editing, is show that you understand why what you were doing was against Wikipedia policy, and provide evidence that you aren't going to do it again. I suggest that you do so, immediately, rather than find yourself blocked indefinitely, as seems increasingly likely. 86.134.76.164 (talk) 18:36, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have provided a source, and I tried to add 2 more. Explain to me how I am doing wrong? My sources are reliable for him being Turkish. Except you are telling me all these things but answer me can you actually read Turkish? Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 18:38, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am not asking you to add it to the article. Just copy the URL here. If it says what you claim it does, I will add it to the article myself. 86.134.76.164 (talk) 19:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I know what you meant, my point is it happens to referencing aswell as providing links. It took me multiple attempts to even put the Euroleague link in this chat. Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 19:35, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I just said it’s not allowing me, I will try again later. Even here it is saying “error edit not saved” when I try to paste the URL.However, do you know why on Fenerbahçe basketball page, in the roster the link to go to Biberovic’s page isn’t working, do you know why this is because it was working earlier? Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 19:42, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you find a way to copy-paste the URL here quickly, because otherwise anyone else reading this discussion is likely to come to the same conclusion that I have - that you don't have any source at all for the claim that Biberovic has 'Turkish parents'. And no, I'm not going to waste my time trying to figure out your editing screw-ups. Not while you are wasting my time with endless excuses for not being able to copy-paste a simple string of characters. 86.134.76.164 (talk) 19:53, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I never edited fenerbahces page, so do not blame me for anything relevant to that - everyone has respected the fact the I have an error message but you aggressively go “you better find a way quickly” this is exactly why I say you are out to continuously go for me, you edit nothing else but as soon as I do something you’re on the case in a second and telling me I am wrong. Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 20:01, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
if your purpose was to improve this site you would check however if it’s wasting your time it’s clear you’re out for me. Everyone else assisted me today and I’m thankful to all of them. Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 20:02, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Still no source for Biberovic having 'Turkish parents' then? What a surprise...
Do you really think this monumental exercise in excuse-mongering is going to achieve anything other than making the inevitable block more certain? 86.134.76.164 (talk) 20:06, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
he is not naturalised so don’t spam my page, even if I haven’t posted the source, the fact he has the passport shows that he is related to Turkey since he would be naturalised if he had no relation - and he is not naturalised Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 21:32, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the help Robby, before I do this I need to know if this will be regarded as original research (I think that’s its name) or if it’s acceptable. Otherwise, if I do this and it isn’t acceptable then it will naturally be used against me by somebody. The source states that he will be a domestic player and not a naturalised player, and the only possible way for this to happen is to have Turkish parent/s Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 22:42, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I’m thankful for that, but there’s no point he’ll claim it’s original research. he’s more interested in spamming me and being disrespectful, this was my first ever page creation and this is how I was treated. I honestly wouldn’t mind being banned. I’ll probably even just deactivate this account as I’m sick of this for the last week and the harassment I get on my first attempt of a page it’s not worth it. His whole account is based on me look at his contributions I bet he’s a Sockpuppet. Anyway, I’m probably going to get rid of this account for a week this has gone on and today this is how my day has been....complete joke my first ever attempt. First it was his citizenship, then because I accidentally left “French” in and now because of this... For a whole day look how he’s only out for me. It’s a joke, any new user shouldn’t bother to try do something for the first time or do something useful. Banning me is probably the only way I can get away from this Wiki Facts fixer (talk) 23:19, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
