User talk:Wifione/Archive 2012 (May)Abuse Filter on the Article Feedback ToolHey there :). You're being contacted because you're an edit filter manager, At the moment, we're developing Version 5 of the Article Feedback Tool, which you may or may not have heard about. If you haven't; for the first time, this will involve a free-text box where readers can submit comments :). Obviously, there's going to be junk, and we want to minimise that junk. To do so, we're working the Abuse Filter into the tool. For this to work, we need people to write and maintain filters. I'd be very grateful if you could take a look at the discussionhere and the attached docs, and comment and contribute! Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 18:35, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
My apologies to those expecting a reply in the past weekFellow editors, my apologies to those expecting a reply from me last week, especially those whom I'm going to nominate for an RfA. I took ill with a bad case of the flu and have only now just about recovered. Should be able to join back full fledged by tomorrow. Again, apologies for the incommunicado absence. Kind regards. QuestionHello, although I'm relatively new to wiki I would like to know what makes the user "Armbrust" immune from action. He continually engages in edit wars and breaks the three revert rule and yet no action is taken against him. Take a look at 2012 World Snooker Championship for his latest installment. A non-stop edit war is under way there and if I were to do it I would be blocked in a heartbeat! Please can you enlighten me? Thanks Spc 21 (talk) 22:56, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
articlehello you said to contact you if any issue arises on article "Al Ahbash"...the user amandaparker is using socks to avoid 3rr and reverting work without any explanation on the article "Al-Ahbash" Baboon43 (talk) 03:28, 26 April 2012 (UTC) The user has been blocked indefinitely as of 16:13, 26 April 2012. SwisterTwister talk 05:23, 28 April 2012 (UTC) War on WomenHi Wifione. I recently tried to create an article for War on Women. There was a previous War on Women article that was deleted atWikipedia:Articles for deletion/War on Women and you closed that discussion. Could you advise me whether I ought to take the article to deletion review? Gobōnobo+ c 19:12, 26 April 2012 (UTC) Now at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/War on Women (2nd nomination)--209.6.69.227 (talk) 03:25, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
MITCHELL HEISMANI don't understand why this would be deleted. Is it not "noteworthy" enough that probably hundreds of people at least stumble upon his name in the course of a year? I'm willing to bet more people are interested in Mitchell Heisman's story than "pillow-weaving" or some other trivial habit of an unheard of aboriginal tribe that Wikipedia nests. — Preceding unsigned comment added by24.185.162.105 (talk) 06:18, 27 April 2012 (UTC) See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mitchell Heisman. If you wish to start the article again, see Wikipedia:Notability andWikipedia:Writing better articles. In certain cases, the article will be kept if the article had acquired significant media coverage. If you have questions or concerns, Wifione and I would be happy to answer your questions/concerns.SwisterTwister talk 05:20, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Hello Wifione, please look at this template. This user is waging into edit war. Can you please protect the template for a while? GeorgianJorjadze (talk) 21:28, 8 May 2012 (UTC) Hi! I am the user GeorgianJorjadze is here accusing of edit warring. I would certainly appreciate an administrator to come have a look at the conflict we're having on this template. I initiated a discussion there on the talk page before changing the actual template, and started implementing the changes only after getting feedback from the other interested participant. I feel some changes are objectively needed to bring this template to the standards present in other similar ones, and have explained them in more and more detail as the discussion progressed, while GeorgianJorjadze mostly stated his preference for the old version. He's reverted any attempt I, and another unrelated contributer, have made at changing the template. Confronted with particular problems, he fixed them partially on his own rather than trying to work out a compromise version including some of my changes, as I did repeatedly with his own. I don't accuse him of edit warring, rather of poor ability to negociate compromises and admit he is not the only editor with rights on that template. For information, the version as it stands is his (he last reverted it to how it was before the discussion started, removing also the changes he had made), you can find my last attempts in the article history. I've exposed on the talk page reasons for all of them, last one is the most detailed. I would also appreciate if you (and other editors) could comment on a possible change of image, for the sake of consistency with similar templates, and the inclusion or not of dates (I proposed a version with, but am rather neutral on the subject). In any case, I won't edit that template again until you answer our little problem. Thanks a lot!--Susuman77 (talk) 21:46, 8 May 2012 (UTC) Hi guys, I don't think Wifione is around these days, you might want to find another admin if your problem is urgent. Good luck.Azylber (talk) 01:46, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Help neededHey Wifione, I need your help. I've been getting into a spot of trouble lately, and I thought you could help me out a bit. Can you?--Rsrikanth05 (talk) 16:20, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Mitchell HeismanDear Wifione, I typed Mitchell Heisman in my browser window to discover there wasn't an entry in Wikipedia. I followed another link to the page where readers and editors argued Heisman’s relative merits and your decision to remove its entry. To tell you the truth, I was saddened to witness the ugly face of censorship before the editors' continuous references to small print. To my knowledge, every act of censorship has been defended in a similar way; even Torquemada referred to a god’s sanction he had in writing to justify his despicable deeds. Mr Heisman’s document is important, inasmuch as it posits, reasons and defends a philosophical view of human society, questioning moral and ethical codes and delving into the very ethos of for-the-hell-of-it tradition. Laced with barely veiled ad hominem barbs at Mr. Heisman, the discussion I read meandered about small print without addressing whether the authorship of such a document is reason enough to be listed in an encyclopedia or not. It seems to me as though in the partisan view of Wikipedia editors, his vital choice outweighs the merits of his prose. In Wikipedia there are hundreds of entries belonging to people whose contribution to literature or philosophical discussion pales before sections of Mr. Heisman's publication. Years ago someone wistfully suggested I should compose an entry listing my fiction and non-fiction publications, scientific papers and other dribble. I refused because it would have been an exercise in self-gratification. Unlike Mr. Heisman, I've never made any worthy contribution to my kin. And no, I won’t play the game of “keep/delete,” what for? After your lapidary “Give a vote, don't back it up with logical reasoning, there is a huge chance I won't consider the vote worthy.” Say, since when is a vote valid only if the interested party likes it? Anyway, don't bother to reply; you would be wasting your precious time since my vote wouldn't be worthy either. What really irks me is that I won't be able to use an otherwise splendid resource without questioning how much has been redacted because it didn't agree with the censors' interpretation of cultural worth. Take care, Carlos 37.14.158.131 (talk) 15:45, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
