Oh man, these guys are so persistent. Will it be more effective to contact the company and notify them that one of their PR guys (or agencies) is probably butt-hurt and not behaving well? Maybe we can explain to them that these actions might hurt their image, as a random guy like me could follow what is happening. Extending protection period

Widr, not sure if you recall protecting articles Aaron Livesy and Robert Sugden on 2 November 2016, for 2 weeks each. Alas, the minute the protection expired IP disruption erupted again, adding the same in-depth plot details, and from the same IP account. I'm wondering if there is any advice or suggestion you can think of to stop the IP without blocking them, whilst also keeping the article unprotected? If re-protection is the only option, then perhaps extending it for a longer semi-p period or maybe pending changes, or even extended confirmed protected. Not sure which will do the trick. But as these TV drama characters are highly active in a huge storyline that seems to be having fans in a hype, then some sort of action needs to be taken to keep the articles unbiased and plot-free. Widr, you blocked User:116.88.86.194 for apparent vandalism on Equipment of the Singaporean Army. From looking at the article, it's been the target of numbers-inflation and additions of equipment not operated by Singapore. The IP was apparently attempting to revert the vandalism. Page protection

Could Perth Lynx, Perth Wildcats, Sydney Uni Flames, Sydney Kings, Brisbane Bullets, Adelaide Lightning and Adelaide 36ers please be semi protected long term? Possible socks

These three new accounts [1][2] [3] are all adding unsourced, often promotional but always unencyclopedic content to horse-related articles and some seemingly random others. Not only that, the userpages are extremely similar. All say they are from Ireland and like horses (though the writing doesn't seem British to me), and all have the page half full of Wikipedia Adventure things. Other Anti-Vandal Editors

I just witnessed an edit war over the current sports team of the baseball player Mitch Moreland. Two editors, User:Muboshgu and User:Trut-h-urts man, removed many edits which were perfectly good, it just seems evident that the anti-vandals did not take the time to google "mitch moreland signing with the red sox" and instead decided to remove multiple edits from more than 5 users changing "Free agent" to "Red Sox" after he was signed. Here's some of the edits: [4] [5] [6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. That is a lot of edits without checking. He did sign, and if you check my latest edit to the page a few minutes ago, there's detailed information that was up before the edit war started. As you're an administrator, and I'm new to rollback unlike the two editors in question, can you try to do something about this, like warning them as you warned me? We also read past the headlines that said the player was signed to see where in the article it says "the deal is pending a physical exam", which we can't predict the player will pass. The Moreland deal only became official an hour ago, when the Red Sox announced the deal and released a player from their 40-man roster to make room for Moreland. Just rechecked. The last revert from Muboshgu was made at 21:44 and the information was released at 21:00 on [14]. The first 7-8 reverts were made before the official Red Sox release came out, though not before official sources were tweeting about him being signed, which is unreliable, though still deserved mention. Hi, Samtar! I'm sorry if it felt that I stepped on your toes. but escalation is pretty much standard practice for school blocks and anon blocks. There were also some earlier edits caught by filter after the previous block had expired. When there is nothing productive coming, longer blocks are justified.
