Before doing the redirect you should have checked to see if any articles would be inappropriately redirected to your redirection. Is the actress Elizabeth Hess the same Elizabeth Hess that won the spelling bee? If not, then people would be mighty confused to click on her name in the page for, say, Clarissa Explains It All and then have it redirect to the spelling bee page. Some brief investigation on your part would have spared this type of confusion. I will add a stub for Hess under her name. Please do try to be more careful in the future. Scripps National Spelling Bee

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
On the Tenzin Gyatso page, your last edit according to my (faulty) bowser was just adding "ISBN", however I now realise there is a possibility you fully restored the entire references and I couldn't see that because of Bug5643. If so, I am really sorry. 80.189.239.13522:10, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Nothing to worry about; I think you're right about the bug. I myself use Firefox (although this hasn't ever happened to me), and what emerged from your edit is an incomplete template and a nonexistent ISBN code. I tried to fix the template, but unfortunately, I didn't know the ISBN code. Could you re-edit the article and insert the ISBN code, if you know it? The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.

The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

I'd like to direct you attention to es:Trillo (agricultura), which is a featured article on the Spanish Wikipedia, and it's equivalent English article, Threshing-board, a stub. Hey, Lovelac7, I appreciate your efforts to standardize all the state templates and I commend you for doing a good job. I have a concern about the text sizes — I think that it'd be best if it was at least 11px in size, merely for aesthetics and readability. I am particularly concerned about the Colorado template, because up until the point that you edited it the font size had been 11px. Can this be done for all of the state templates? I wanted to consult you first, since you have been bold and taken the initiative to do something that has been in the backburner for a while. I tried to standardize the Colorado template myself for a little while — you'll see my efforts in the template's history along with its talk page. Great job! Feel free to fix anything about Colorado or any other state templates. I mainly wanted to take a stab at making them all the same size and layout. (i.e. 94% page width, with section headers on the left.) Anyway, I'm glad you approve of me being bold, and I encourage you to do the same.
Good job on the Colorado template. I noticed that some editors have complained about me centering the links. I really don't care which alignment the links have. I just wanted to be consistant, so I chose one style and stuck with it. Like I said, feel free to rearrange my work. Lovelac723:01, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Lovelac7, thanks; I'm sure several editors are angry with the prospect of standardization (specifically for Template:Delaware). I myself was very attached to Template:Colorado and was surprised to see it changed before realizing what a good thing you've done. I've been posting sections on each state template's discussion page with a link to the WikiProject U.S. states talk page for a possible consensus on alignment and other standardization issues. Delaware template
Hello Webdinger, I have been studying the changes made by Lovelac and you to the Delaware template, and appreciate the effort to reach common ground. I am OK with the content and its layout, especially since you changed the font. So all my issues are cosmetic. Frankly, I think my design looks far better than what you have come up with, but I know you are trying to fit this round peg into the square hole of what most of the templates look like now, flag in upper left, labels lower left, title on top. I wish you could cut away from that and design something new, but know how hard that would be. A couple of things still need to happen at a minimum. The only reason I had the flag on the right and no label on the left was to get the words centered. If you must have the label on the left, the flag on the right has to be all the way to the right, or entirely gone (either is OK) and the wording all centered under the title, wherever that is. Stilltim: I appreciate your attachment to Template:Delaware and your desire to keep it the way that it is now (it looked great before, and it still does!). I was the same way with Template:Colorado before I realized that some state templates are so inconsistent with each other that something had to be done. I personally don't mind if the Delaware template remains as it is; it merely presents the links in a much more concise way than what Lovelac7 and I have been trying out on the other state templates.
Regarding the location of the flag images, that's something that several templates had previously, an image of the flag on the left and an image of the state seal on the right. I love the work that you've done on Template:Delaware; it's a fantastic template that will be easy to maintain and the colors juxtapose each other well. I'm all for keeping it the way it is. Feel free to tell us how to standardize the rest of the state templates (and how they can complement Delaware's) over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates. I am now pretty much OK with the template, except for three small things, 1) the content needs to be centered in the box, under the title, not centered in the white space, 2) the content does not need to be bold, I turned it on, but cannot turn it off, and 3) the colors would look better if they filled out to the inside margin line. I have no idea how to do any of these things, do you? would you? I would be grateful. stilltim02:30, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Stilltim, I got it fixed as much as I could without compromising the look of the template. Here's what I've achieved:
The content is now centered to the title and not the entire area of space; I added in a 75px margin to the right of the content.
I removed the bold-facing on "Topics." Is that what you wanted or is it the title that you wanted me to remove the bold-facing?
I removed the margins as much as I could, but there is still a 2px margin that refuses to disappear. I'll try again tomorrow.
Your latest mods for centering and bold face are perfect- thank-you. The only thing missing is a double line I had around the margin- see the code written in J. Caleb Boggs for the US Congress box- and the older version of the box. These lines give the box a more finished look and somehow also forces a little spacing that positions the template perfectly after the article text. Your help is most appreciated, as I can write history, but am not much good at programming. stilltim10:36, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Caleb Boggs page as for spacing and borders. And thankfully, it looks passable in Internet Explorer. Hey, Ravedave, you stated on the edit summary of your recent edits to Template:Minnesota that "if standard == ugly then lets go nonstandard." What do you mean, ugly? As far as I can tell, the editors who are participating in the standardization effort are focusing on both clarity and how the template looks. Do you have a problem with the font size or the background color alternating? I see few differences between the current version of Template:Minnesota and other templates such as Template:Colorado (which was one of the very first templates to be standardized). Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!

Sorry, but I think a mistake has been made. I added a div to this page because, as I was looking at your page (which I love by the way) I noticed that on this page, everything following the intro section is squished over to the right half of the screen, in line with the right column. I added what I thought was a missing div to allow the content to go accross the entire page like the rest of your pages. I guess it is half and half. I think more people perhaps will have more of a formulated opinion that Mirage is a villain.
