User talk:Viennese Waltz
Regarding......this,[1] "what's wrong with us people" is that we were not aware that the OP was an LTA. Given that, though, it would be better to just delete it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:49, 4 April 2020 (UTC) RE: 'Six and Six' album coverHello, Viennese Waltz. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. EN-Jungwon 12:03, 29 March 2021 (UTC) ConsensusI do not wish to continue the disagreement at the ref desk, but I think it is really a poor idea to be giving people advice that directly conflicts with core policy. --JBL (talk) 14:05, 24 May 2021 (UTC) WarningYou have been editing here long enough to know that you are not to remove another editors post from ref desks or any talk page. Sagittarian Milky Way (talk) 14:47, 12 December 2021 (UTC) Indonesian government fixation IP user...Hey, I know this is one of our regular RD trolls, but you mentioned a few days back they were a blocked/banned user. Can you point me to the LTA, SPI, or master account I can tie them all too? Thanks! --Jayron32 16:07, 31 March 2022 (UTC) Regarding......this,[2] it seems likely that this "incoherent rant" was produced by the same Angelino who asked the question in the first place. Which raises the question of whether the section should be boxed or maybe zapped altogether, as per discussion on the ref desk talk page, about how to handle trolling. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 10:04, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
User:CyberllamamusicNot sure what could be done, but I wonder if the poster is related to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Language/2021_December_10#Why_the_pronoun_%22Hers%22_is_rarely_used? Or this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Language/2022_May_7#Hers_is_severely_underutilized --User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 18:14, 15 November 2022 (UTC) "Banned user"You closed two questions on WP:RD/H recently as being from a "banned user". I point out that there are two other questions from the same IP address currently still on the page. User bans are not a subject I have anything to do with, but I thought I'd mention it. There is no need to respond to me about this. --174.89.144.126 (talk) 09:04, 19 November 2022 (UTC) Banned user at RDHWhodat? Can't seem to place them. Thanks. Jayron32 13:23, 21 November 2022 (UTC) Refdesk: Humanities editYou removed what appeared to be a somewhat rambling but good-faith comment in RefDesk:Humanities with an edit summary that seemed to be completely irrelevant. Perhaps the summary made sense to those in the know, but I reverted it based on what I could see. Please feel free to revert my edit with a clearer explanation. Matt's talk 09:00, 29 May 2023 (UTC) Refdesk: Miscellaneous editPlease explain why you reverted my response. When banks and shops DO post notices that staff do not have cash, one reason is to protect their staff from robbery attempts. Philvoids (talk) 01:09, 1 June 2023 (UTC) June 2023Hello. Going forward which do you think is best? (1) Delete my contribution or (2) move it outside the hat. Regards, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 16:29, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
Please don't prematurely close constructive discussionsI reverted your change here (as well as your earlier related change) because I see no reason for it, given that the discussion there was well-intended and constructive. Your action seems to be in direct violation of our guideline Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines#Marking a closed discussion, which limits such closures only to “particular[ly] unconstructive” edits. If you have any other reason than IDONTLIKEIT, please explain. ◅ Sebastian Helm 🗨 08:53, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
Ranting IPAbout User_talk:2601:646:8082:BA0:803C:1E13:647A:F161#May_2024: I tell ya, it takes all kinds. I've been accused of various things over the years, but terrorism and national security threat takes trolling to a whole 'nother level! The one good thing is that if the IP turns up again, he'll be very easy to identify. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 10:05, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Re:DeletionNo problem. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 20:29, 4 August 2024 (UTC) LTA VXFC?Hello Viennese Waltz, I notice you reverted this edit by IP 92.21.199.174 on WP:RD/L. It may seem plausible that it's VXFC at first since the geolocation seems to correspond with the LTA infopage, but then about an hour before they made that RD/L edit, they posted on this blocked account's talk page about that account's block, in Spanish. It's as if the person behind the IP is the owner of that account or something. The use of Spanish, along with the article interests (old politicians, drug cartels, etc) indicate to me that it's not VXFC. If you can have a look, then what do you think? semi-acronymBorrowing from American cop shows, I'm thinking a good shorthand for turning a clown over to AN or ANI could be labeled a "Bozo BOLO". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 12:33, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
UTRS, & short-lived accountsYou and Baseball Bugs may possibly be interested to know that I've already declined a WP:UTRS appeal for someone recently discussed here. As for being one of the shortest-lived WP accounts ever, I reckon if you have nothing better to do with your time than searching through my block log, you will be able to find quite a number of shorter ones. However, if I'd seen what was happening earlier, this one would have had a much shorter life. JBW (talk) 13:30, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
