We're approaching the beginning of 2012's final round. Pool A sees Cwmhiraeth (submissions) as the leader, with 300 points being awarded for the featured article Bivalvia, and Pool B sees Grapple X (submissions) in the lead, with 10 good articles, and over 35 articles eligible for good topic points. Pool A sees Muboshgu (submissions) in second place with a number of articles relating to baseball, while Pool B's Ruby2010 (submissions) follows Grapple X, with a variety of contributions including the high-scoring, high-importance featured article on the 2010 film Pride & Prejudice. Ruby2010, like Grapple X, also claimed a number of good topic points; despite this, not a single point has been claimed for featured topics in the contest so far. The same is true for featured portals.
Currently, the eighth-place competitor (and so the lowest scorer who would reach the final round right now) has scored 332, more than double the 150 needed to reach the final round last year. In 2010, however, 430 was the lowest qualifying score. In this competition, we have generally seen scores closer to those in 2010 than those in 2011. Let's see what kind of benchmark we can set for future competitions! As ever, if you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Glad you are back
Hey Vibhi you are back....I tried to resolve reviewers comments while you are away, for list of IPL centuries. Now that you are back and running it's good. Have a look and feel free to ask anything about changes I have made.--Vyom25 (talk) 13:30, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I would add it if only I had any space left but I will certainly not replace inn column with it. Inn. column is a vital stat.--Vyom25 (talk) 14:31, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
What brought me to Wikipedia was the lack of information in the article of Meera. In mid-April 2012, after spending nearly 3 and a half months, I planned to add to those article which are seldom edited by others. Those included the Nawabs of Bengal & Murshidabad, articles related to it and soap opera articles. Soap operas are ongoing so I have to edit them daily but the article on the Nawabs is a piece of history...and I took up the work alone. Later, in May some editors helped me to fix typos and grammatical errors, but soon withdrew back their help. But, by God's grace I finished with the work today on 4 August 2012 and would love to share this success with you! My condition was same as the flying man in the pic, trying to catch a several things at the same time before it's too late. I don't know whether he succeeds or not, bu I did succeed! However, I still have to add some references and summarize the plots of soap opera articles in the soap opera articles. If you want, then you can help. Thank you for all who helped me all these days...thank you again! --Tamravidhir(২০১২) 11:30, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
If you would like you can drop your student, remove him from the status page, and let him know that if he becomes re-active he will need to re-enroll. At your discrection, of course, but just a heads up. Dan653 (talk) 17:59, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Current updates: The coordinator elections will be held soon! Keep your eyes on our project in mid-August for more.
Chennai Super Kings was selected as the FA/GA of the month, but due to lack of contributors to the article, we could not pass it as a GA. We're looking forward for contributors who are interested in the topic. The only problem with the article is to fix it's references and cite more reliable sources. If you do a lot of referencing work, you're most welcome!
An IRC meetup was held to discuss future plans of the project and to discuss ideas for new articles. Seven editors were a part of it. The log of the meeting can be founded here. We hope that more such meetups will talk place.
Our portal was launched early this month. You can find it here. We congratulate our vice-coordinator, Vibhijain, for working on this. Users are welcome to suggest new ideas to re innovate the portal and make it more customized. We also have a book, Book:Indian Premier League.

Hello Vibhijain. I have rewritten the article using a number of sources. Could you please look to see if your delete !vote still applies to the article as it now stands? Thanks, nableezy - 18:45, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Vibhi I came on Wikipedia to make it a better encyclopedia and my work is near end. I may not be much active for the coming weeks and the coming month. My edit count per day is going to drop. I have worked day and night to reach my goal which is not far away. I am done. I may hardly sit on the net and log in here and remove vandalism and update soap opera articles. But when I will not be there what will happen? I am saying this as there is no one else who keep vandalism away from those articles. I am alone and if I will not be there it is gone. I have asked many users for help but in vain. I hope a yes from you. If you are interested in watching (watch listing) the following articles, track vandals and try to update them then please reply on my talk page. Don't make me sad and neither do it just for the sake of making me happy. The list of the articles is as follows (the list may be a little big) but only some of them are edited regularly):
If you want to add these to your watchlist then click edit and when it opens the following come one after another like a list and you can just copy them and edit your raw watchlist.

I recently nominated Nawabs of Bengal & Murshidabad for GA but the review has still not started. We still have time. I would like you to edit the article and drive it to the path of GA. Please help me, it will be so kind of you. it will also add one number to the total number of GA article Wikipedia has. Please help me! If replying please leave me a talk-back template. I have also asked some other editors for the same. Thank you ! Tamravidhir(২০১২) 12:49, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Please help me by doing whatever thing an Wiki editor can do...if to say then I want this article to be GA before Navaratri arrives, with the help of all of us! Hope I was not rude.. :D Tamravidhir(২০১২) 12:59, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
I will try my best to ix small issues as the GAN starts, but I still believe that its more like a list than an article. Also, GAN reviews can take a lot of time, sometimes 2-4 months. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛TalkEmail13:06, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Your English may not be perfect but it is a great deal better than a lot of other editors here. You also show a great deal of maturity over certain editors in the topic area. You know who they are Personally I think you a good editor, it would be a shame to see you go. Darkness Shines (talk) 09:39, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
@DS Thanks for the compliments. As I said it not final but I am really stressed how one has to wait for days for the discussion to get over to make a small edit in those topics. Another surprising thing is how editors blindly continuously accuse me of hounding even when I have proven all of them wrong hundred times, and when I have a solid proof against one of their tag-teammates, they just don't care to admit it or prove my allegation wrong, and jut go bye saying "your hounding card didn't worked this time". Also the way the so called "neutral" admins act is this area (I wanted to ignore saying that word) is ridiculous.
@TRM For sure your comments are not responsible for this decision, but seeing some of the opposes at my RfA, I strongly feel that I need to improve my English before I can easily communicate with English speakers. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛TalkEmail09:52, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
And a good way to improve your English would be to continue editing. You do a fair job with communication already for Christs sake. There are a few neutral admins, you already know the ones who are not. Re the "hounding" Did you not find it ironic that one editor who accused you of this turned up at articles you had recently created, then went to his pet admin to complain about your "hounding" , people notice these things. Whatever you decide, all the best. Darkness Shines (talk) 10:00, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
hehe DS is right..anyway..the best remedy to your problem..is I guess this.Just follow it and you will understand it.Editing really improves your language.I'm the best example.See my talk page archives to know how bad my english was during my early days. TheStrikeΣagle10:26, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Vibhijain, your English is a lot better than many other editors I've came across in my time. The difference is, they're English. Even allofmygood articles have required a darn good copyedit before they could be passed. And I'm a native English speaker. ThineAntiquePen(public)10:53, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
You are too young to retire, the retirement age is generally 65. Even if you plan like Hrithik Roshan did in Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara, you can not retire before you reach forties :) So, happy editing, --Dwaipayan (talk) 12:21, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
I'll repeat what the section heading says - Don't be stupid. Dude, give a damn to the English. The fact is that you are an awesome editor and an example for many many others to follow. Don't worry about such issues. If you facing a storm, keep calm while it passes by. Everything will be back to normal! :-) Cheers and happy editing! BPositive(talk)12:46, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Though I'm not sure what prompted this, you are a good editor and make a significant contribution to Wikipedia. Don't let an incident or two get you down and keep plugging away! --regentspark (comment) 16:05, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
I agree with RegentsPark...if to say then when I was a newbie I was inspired by two and they were (rather are) AroundTheGlobe and you...if to say then you are one of the most awesome person I have ever seen....my English is the worst in the whole world and yours is much better..I get too frightened while editing....I would advice you to take a Wikibreak..relax..and then listen to what your heart says...Tamravidhir(২০১২) 16:22, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
What is going on here? I will put my POV(damn right my POV. I have one that is why I stay away from certain articles) in two points. 1. Those who edit wikipedia are here because they like it here and you are one of them. Don't give a damn about what others think. It's about what you think of yourself. Good English or bad English if you enjoy coming here you will come here and you must come here. 2. One retires when one dies. There is no age limit for those who want to work. So take of that sign otherwise I have to secure one of your prizes. Surly would hate win grand prize other then that I am fine. You know what I am talking about.--Vyom25 (talk) 17:39, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
No!
No! Imperfect english is not something you can help. For 14, you do great. You already know that Indians are exposed to english much later than the americans or europeans..hence it takes time to get nearer to that native-level of english they expect from you. Please get over it. :) TheStrikeΣagle09:49, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Someone once told me what I am about to tell you now, "Sometimes things just seem to go pear-shaped, and all we want to do is hide somewhere. .. Take heart; this place isn't as bad as it sometimes feels!"

A beer for you!
When you feel down, take some drink but ya, not too much. English might not be a strong point of yours compared to other editors around, but certainly, your Eng at this age is way better then other people of your age! You are still in the process of learning (at school and real life) so you'll and your improvements will be better then other people as editing and keeping the encyclopedia a better place at so young age is not what everyone could do. I remember that when I was 13, I failed my school grammar test and I was heart-broken by criticism I faced and teasing sentiments from my buddies. It didn't took a while and I scored 94 out of 100 at the annual test. I didn't gave up and kept up the hard work, in fact concentrated more at my eng. You might be aware of the name "Alber Einstein", he had trouble getting through his school and then worked as a "clerk" at Swiss patent office, but, somehow managed to become one of the greatest minds that ever lived on earth. Dude, you never know who will emerge in a way when others just be spectators! I also remember a quote (don't know who quoted but he was a baseball player): "Keep swinging!" Remember to things in wiki also, as well as in real life; 1.) Never take any decision while being sad or angry and 2.) Never make any promises while being happy. There are times when things don't work the way you like, close people do things which you might not like and somethings may annoy or even frustrate or depress you but don't feel down, that is why I like this username. Pretty long message I guess but told what I felt inside. Just wanted to tell at the end, this place won't be the same without you. I plan few FLs and I cannot achieve them without your help. Your contributions here are much valued and better then many of us around. Surely, it will be a invaluable loss if you go way. TheSpecialUserTSU15:22, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
