No, they're wrong. The IP has changed it to read crime figures per 10,000 which is not what the reference says. I reverted it to read crime figures per 1,000 but you've reverted my change to say that it's crime figures per 10,000 which is not correct and I'm going to go and revert that to the correct figure. I'm afraid you've wasted your time with that search. I could instantly have told you that "gain control over council" is incorrect while "gain control over the council" is correct but that's not what you're reverting here. You're changing "gain control over Barcelona City council" to "gain control over the Barcelona City Council." This is not correct as Barcelona City Council is what is called a zero article situation in English.
Quote: "No article is needed for most places consisting of just the name of a person, or the name of a person/place followed by a noun examples Harrods, Macys, McDonald's, Lloyds Bank, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Kennedy Airport, Waterloo Station, Cambridge University, etc." Reference here. Multi-member seats

Hi - I quite agree with you. Where there are two or perhaps three representatives, it is possible to list them all - as, for example in Gordon Hewart's succession in Leicester. For more, it's not really practical to list them all, and it's inaccurate to pick out just one. I had a brief exchange with Padraig at User talk:Padraig#Thomas Moles about this three years ago, but I haven't seen any further developments. In case of a by-election, there's usually a clear succession, but it's uncommon for someone's service to both begin and end with a by-election. The method of using party names, as seen in the Dessie Ellis article, makes some sense, but then as the party was not previously represented, his predecessor should surely be "none", not a randomly chosen TD from another party. No problem! There were just two minor things causing the problems - Elections to the Corts Valencianes, 2011 had ongoing=yes in the infobox, which hides the results fields, and the Valencia City Council elections had sup/ rather than /sup - I have no idea why it doesn't work either way, but it's fixed the issue! I've also moved the Brian Wilson article - thanks for alerting me to this; it did need an admin to do this as the move involved deleting a page. Good work on the Spanish election results, by the way! I hope you will see that if we use the team names, they do not always fit in the space provided. Using match numbers is far tidier and follows the custom UEFA used for the 2nd qualifying round draw. Thanks for the messge. I think overall here there are problems with WP:POLITICIAN and WP:BIAS. It's clear to me from the former that Mayors are not notable in their own right and therefore coverage of Mayors in their local papers going about their everyday duties is also not notable. The problem is that WP:POLITICIAN is not sufficiently clear cut on that and therefore such deletion debates generally have inconsistent outcomes depending on who shows up on the day. Generally Mayors of US cities tend to get kept while Mayors of cities in other countries are less likely to survive. I personally feel it would be better to have general articles in cases like this on the local government in the place in question which would cover the Mayor in context rather than having articles on Mayors-of-whichever-place-has-enough-people-with-free-time-and-internet-access-to-edit-here. In this case I think it's fairly ridiculous that a Mayor of a Chicago suburb of 107k gets an article when in the past Mayors of cities of 350k plus have gone. If I may chime in here, I agree with Valenciano. Mayors are "local elected officials" under WP:POLITICIAN, and as such they are not granted automatic inclusion; they need to have at least some significant sourcing to show notability. It sounds like Policarpio agrees. (I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, but you based your "keep" !vote on the existence of coverage that you found to be significant, which implies that significant coverage makes the difference for you.) But not everyone at the discussion made that thoughtful an argument. Several seemed to simply say "he's the mayor so of course he's notable." As I have followed AfD discussions over the past few years, I have seen more and more of this kind of thinking. IMO it is not so much due to bias as to laziness. People want to be able to rubber stamp it and move on, without doing any research. At the Dave Kaptain discussion somebody actually stated, as if it was policy, that mayors of cities greater than 100,000 are notable - and another person seemed to echo that sentiment. And yet there is no such policy and no such consensus. Party vote share by electoral district tables in Spain election articles

I've reverted the changes I did to the party vote share boxes regarding the templates, so the sort function will work now as intended. Instead, I've added some self-made maps showing the percentage of the popular vote that each party won in the different provinces, to be vore visually appealing to the eye. Since it also shows those provinces that were won with absolute majority, the sort function now is much more effective for those who want to contrast the data with the map. Did it. Just colored the percentage differences either green or red, depending whether they increase or decrease, respectively. The result is more visually appealing (it's much easier to difference between the decreasing percentages and the increasing ones) while also retaining the sort function. Simple, but effective. For now I've done just those in the 2011 article, but I'm moving on to do the same in the 2008 one.
By the way, the party vote share per province concept gave me the idea of also adding the seats each party won in each province, which has been done through a simple graphic, which includes all parties.
