Manichaeism

I've been working on improving the English language Wikipedia articles on Manichaeism and I noticed your work on zh:Template:摩尼教页脚. It contains a link zh:米特拉斯派, was that link to be zh:密特拉教 or Mithraism or zh:米特拉斯派 Mithrasites? I have been struggling and failing to find references to 米特拉斯派. It turns out that the name is "Miqlās" or "Miqlāsijja", not "Mithrasites", such a lost in translation. I found this: Manichaeism in the Later Roman Empire and Medieval China, p. 83; and more information on p. 164 of the same book according to Nanahomura, but it seems that there's no preview available online. "Miqlās (the 'Miqlāsiyya')" is mentioned in this short article: Abū Hilāl al-Dayhūri. The other book, The Messenger of Light: Mani and Manichaeism (光明的使者：摩尼與摩尼教), is in Chinese (leave this part to me). I'll do a more thorough research later, I'll let you know if I get anything useful. @Uriel1022: I was working on an independent article on it, but I quickly decided that an independent article was not warranted with the amount of content available. Many figures in the template were only notable within the context of the events of the article. I merged the events of the Miqlasijja vs Mihrijja schism with the article on the East-West schism and renamed the article. With this, I finally feel like everything is at a decent level in English Wikipedia on Manichaeism. MaitreyaVaruna (talk) 01:28, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Quick Chinese Anglicanism question

Ok—I lied: it's not quick. I was hoping your overlap of Chinese Anglicanism and prayer book history might be helpful. Have you ever heard of a green, thin Book of Common Prayer from pre-1987 published by an "Anglican Literature Society"? While the title page and liturgy portions are bilingual, what I presume is the preface is in Chinese (and my photographic translator has been unhelpful). If you have any suggestions of where to look for more info, I want to make a page on Chinese Anglican liturgy. ~ Pbritti (talk) 15:37, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

@Pbritti: Hi, Pbritti, nice to "see" you again. I did a brief search, unfortunately nothing is found at this moment. It seems to require a bit longer time for researching. Is it possible to show me a photo of that book? It would be helpful for my research.

To be honest, I'm not an "expert" in Chinese Anglicanism despite being both an Anglican and a descendant of that country. The reasons are: 1) Anglicanism has completely disappeared in China since 1958; 2) Chinese ecclesiastical history was not, are not and will never be systematically taught in schools or universities because of political reasons; 3) From my personal point of view, there is an intentional cover-up of any real history related to Christianity in China. This is also, no doubt, due to political reasons. So please give me more time, I'll let you know once I "excavate" something.
