We typically allow users a wide latitude in what they keep in their user space, even meaningless but harmless content isn't typically deleted unless the user themselves request deletion. There's no need to go around tidying other people's user space, it is in a sense kept for the user to do as they wish. henrik•talk21:48, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
NYC Subway Map
The map uses some alternate names, or provide useful information as to cross streets.
Alternate names:
2 Av-Lower East Side is the original name of the stop, and it's still on the signs in the station; the same goes for 21st-Van Alst, Morrison/Soundview, etc.
Cross streets:
Where it's useful for clarity, I've included the cross street in the station name, a la Vignelli. The 1 doesn't actually follow any particular street through Lower Manhattan, and the G jumps from avenue to avenue willy-nilly as it meanders through Brooklyn, and so forth.
Buses and the SIR:
The M60 does run through 125th Street and meet all the Manhattan mainlines, but it unnecessarily clutters the map to show the entire crosstown bus line. The M60 isn't exactly a direct connection the way the AirTrain is, or the way the connection at 74th/Jackson Heights is.
SIR Express won't fit on the line, which is why I use <SIR> the way I use <6>.
I reverted your removal of the Category:Proposed deletion from some pages. I think you misunderstand something. In addition I am surprised that you think nobody would have removed them before, if they were out of place. This administrative part of Wikipedia is very well organized. Debresser (talk) 23:27, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Train2104 -I want to thank you for the recent edits you made to the two above articles. I knew that having duplicate info was redundant and that, at some point, the Fox Chase Rapid Transit Line article should be strictly about that operation. Anything relating to restoring service should be as part of the Fox Chase Line. Again, thanx!Oanabay04 (talk) 15:44, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

I've seen those names as proposed, but is there a source saying they've been officially accepted by the WMATA? --Golbez (talk) 20:32, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Per the Dr. Gridlock post I cited, these names have been approved by Fairfax County officials. If WMATA approves different names, we'll move them again. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 20:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Fairfax County doesn't have the authority to name metro stations, though. On the other hand, one set of proposed names vs. another, might as well take the more recent/official proposal. --Golbez (talk) 20:50, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
In response to your query: What kind of proof do you want that Nassau County gives permission for use of this photo? (Kingdoug55 (talk) 19:51, 31 March 2011 (UTC))
User:Geoking66 has reverted my edit on Flushing-Main St, claiming that precise ridership numbers should not be used. What do you think? I think it's fine so long as the number is right from the official page. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 12:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm a bit confused as to why you tagged this image for speedy deletion. It was in use on Blumlein Pair and the page looks a bit off now as one of the three images is missing. It did not appear to be corrupt to me, although now that the image has been deleted I can't investigate. What was the problem, and why didn't you consider it appropriate to just request a new version to fix the problem? I will contact the admin as well. -- cmhTC15:32, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
It was corrupt. It had the wrong MIME type. If you made this drawing yourself, make sure you are saving it as svg in whatever editor you are using, not just changing the file extension. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 15:39, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Here is the top of my copy of the file: <!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator 11 Build 196, SVG Export Plug-In . SVG Version: 6.0.0 Build 78) -->. Looks like it was exported as an SVG to me! -- cmhTC15:48, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, hang on. Illustrator won't open it anymore. Perhaps there was a bug in whatever version of illustrator exported it? I will investigate. -- cmhTC15:52, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
OK, I fixed this. Still would have preferred a message rather than deletion as a bot came and messed up the page after the image was deleted. -- cmhTC18:38, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
There's a picture of a sign in the station somewhere. [1] Word on the MTA site will probably come next week. If there's no notification by Labor Day Tuesday, feel free to revert. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 19:22, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm confused. You uploaded the version on Wikipedia, then uploaded on Commons. Then you placed the tag on the original. I activated it and it got deleted. Now, the Commons file shows through. Do you want that one deleted as well??? — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 00:24, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Oh, sorry about that. I just wanted one on Commons, which is StephenProfile2011.jpg with the explanation of the CCA license I wrote on to the page, so that PLM would be effectively releasing the image of just this one page of the website for use on WP (or wherever else people would like to use it). Thanks for your help! --PaulWicks (talk) 01:26, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for your correction in my article. I saw that the correct station name appeared, I did not remember myself correcting it, and I did not look at the history of my article, so I wondered what happened. Now I see that you corrected my article 3 minutes after I created it! I don't know how you found it in my drafts.
You tagged this image for F1 speedy deletion as a duplicate of itself. Would you please go back and retag it with the correct filename, so we can know which one needs to be deleted? Nyttend (talk) 23:49, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
Do you have a list of these that need to be deleted? (or could you make a list?) It'll be easier on admins patrolling CAT:SD if I can delete them all at once. -FASTILY(TALK)21:14, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
A complete deletion of all orphaned s-line templates (I do have a list) will require discussion, I'm only tagging those that I'm familiar with and know are useless. I'll start the discussion. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 21:15, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I removed your rollbacker user right as you are only supposed to use it for reverting vandalism. Cheers, --John (talk) 00:51, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
I was unhappy with this, not because I give stuff about the external link an IP added and I removed, and you reverted back in, but because per Help:Reverting this tool is only to be used for removing vandalism or vandalism-like edits. If it was an error, fair enough, but you should get into the habit of checking your contributions and see that you did what you thought you did. If, on the other hand, this was not an error, you should have (at least) posted to my talk and/or article talk explaining why the link helped the article, and you should have used undo rather than revert as well. --John (talk) 01:49, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
It was an error in that I just saw the contents of the diff and reverted it, forgetting to check the user/edit summary, thinking it was another case of what has happened before with links in WP:NYCPT articles. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 19:18, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Ok, I am restoring it on the basis that you'll be more careful and check back and communicate with users who you revert. Thanks and good luck. --John (talk) 21:41, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
The front one seems a little dark, and the side view of the cars could be any car for anybody knows. I transferred the image to the article on the manufacturer. ----DanTD (talk) 17:46, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
It has to be the new one because a) there are 4 windows between the car doors not 2 and b) it was taken in 2000, before the new ones were built in 2001. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 17:51, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
I suppose you're right, especially when you consider the origins of the company. I just thought that since the one of the articles stated that the SCVTA trains were sold off to UTA Trax and SRTD, that we'd find the same trains there and replace this one with one of them. Sadly, I've had no such luck there. ----DanTD (talk) 20:38, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
Official colors provided by MTA
Excellent work on finding the official colors, I have been looking for that info for sometime. Also good work on some of the historical bullets.
Thanks for updating the bullets, but why did you make 2 uploads a file? Also, I fixed a minor typo in the N/Q/R/W color, if you copied straight from the MTA file you're fine, but if you copied my template you'll have to rerun. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 18:09, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
The reason some are uploaded twice is the script crashed halfway through and needed to be restarted. As for the yellow, I just checked it out and everything is good.--Svgalbertian (talk) 00:28, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
While we're on the subject Svgalbertian, have you ever considered my request for a new bullet composite for the IND Rockaway Line? I still can't make svg files to save my life. ----DanTD (talk) 02:31, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Transparent, and I was hoping for (A) <A> (S). Since the shuttles used to be black, and are now just a darker shade of gray, I'm concerned they might fade into the black background. ----DanTD (talk) 02:50, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Fine with me, since I added it. I still have to cut down on the description, but it was longer when it was hidden. ----DanTD (talk) 14:22, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Re:Script run request
Hello, Train2104. You have new messages at Fastily's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I thought the rule was that a rationale must be needed. These pages were created in error or for users who retracted their warnings, so I believe they can go. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 00:33, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
not deleted except under very exceptional circumstances - just an error, quickly removed with a edit summery hardly counts. The IPs would have probably seen by now anyway. Ronhjones (Talk)00:44, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
We should keep the current image of the UTDC car there until we can find the replacement. I'll try searching for one, I think I remember there being two, but both were very blurry, and the image quality wasn't that good, so I removed them. I think using the fair use image is the best bet until we can get a higher quality free image. Gamer9832 (talk) 00:12, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
I've found the images. They are of adequate quality, but don't show the full vehicle in view, but instead show it over two images (one with the train side and one with the train front). It would be strange if there were two images of UTDC vehicles on the main VTA light rail article, when they haven't been in service for around 10 years. I think we should stick with the old one until we can find a replacement that shows a complete view of the car in one image. Gamer9832 (talk) 00:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm a student of the Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital
from the page BMA Medical college that you spoke of Disruptive editing
I want to assure you that I have no intention of Disruptive editing my purpose for blanking the page is to put it on page delete.
It would surely by disruptive to delete someone else's work, but this is one of the pages I created.
I am doing a bit of organizing, and the real article has quite sufficient redirect pages already
and the problem is that a Facebook community page (linked to wikipedia) disappeared the same day after I created this link, caused by what I'm still not sure
so I'm trying to undo my changes
It would be thankful if you could delete the page for me
or if you know the real causes of the problem or any suggestions, I would be very happy to be informed

Emails from the generators of these images confirming their permissions have now been sent (copied to me) in the last two weeks. I am therefore rather perturbed to see you have just primed them for deletion on 30 November.
Ptelea (talk) 11:17, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Good idea, I did wonder if that was possible, but there was nowhere that said one could force a long date, and dates in templates sometimes get "tweaked" by some bot! Since nothings gone wrong in four days - I think we can assume that it will be fine. I changed the noticed on all the images to Deletion has been delayed since end October to allow non existant OTRS to be sorted out - now we have a firm date, I didn't need that long message. Thank heavens for AWB... Ronhjones (Talk)22:09, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Found them on the empty categories database report and tagged them as C1's. 4 days later they're up for deletion... I was not involved in the emptying nor do I know who did it. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 01:36, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
File:BioMartLogo.png
Hi Train2104,
It appears that your account flagged File:BioMartLogo.png as User talk:Tnabtaf#Non-free_rationale_for_File:BioMartLogo.png. This was probably my third attempt to find a copyright notice that is both close to the truth and acceptable to the Wikipedia community. I'm afraid if I try again I will completely drift away from an appropriate license. Is there any chance I could get you to set this file's permissions to something that won't raise a red flag?
I do not quite understand why we should list 1-4 as Amtrak as well. Sure Keystones COULD use 1-4, but such would only happen in an emergency. It is my experience that NJT or Amtrak will use 17-19 or LIRR will use 5-12 far more often than Amtrak will use 1-4. Perhaps we can revert to normal uses with a note at the bottom? I Appreciate that you took the time to leave an explanation.
Sidenote: As I would say roughly 75% of my usage of NYP is on LIRR, and most of the other 25% is on non-Keystone Amtrak, I am far more likely to see the diversions I listed, but that said I still have never seen 1-4 used by Amtrak.67.247.23.150 (talk) 23:01, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
We can make it two parts: normal operations NJT 1-4, Amtrak/NJT 5-12, All 3 13-176, LIRR 17-21. Then add a note that exceptions can be made if there is a problem. (no need to specify the exceptions) — Train2104 (talk • contribs) 23:09, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
The files were uploaded by different users. Is User:ST2002 the same person behind all the accounts? If not, then you need to start a DR. Otherwise, I can delete everything. -FASTILY(TALK)03:28, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm afraid I cannot do that. The uploader of each respective file must explicitly request deletion. I can nuke all files uploaded by User:ST2002, but the rest will have to go to DR -FASTILY(TALK)02:08, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
It's the cover page of an actual 1795 American pamphlet and comes from a RS. there is no hoax and no reason for deletion (it is in public domain published pre 1923) Rjensen (talk) 02:04, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Please note that sub pages in user space are permissible, even if the main user page doesn't exist. The wording in WP:CSD#G8 probably needs tweaking to make this clear. An optimist on the run!18:23, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Note that the category removal that you did removes the category from the main template page. If that is the intended outcome, then I don't see any problems with your edit. It may look odd because you're not viewing it in its transcluded state. Just redo the edit and view the main page not the /doc subpage. — Train2104 (talk •contribs) 04:54, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
Really? Because this time I successfully removed them, but they're still showing up on Category:Templates for LIRR lines. Should I try a purge function? ----DanTD (talk)
Not anymore...you have to wait for the jobqueue, which should take no longer than 5 minutes. If it doesn't update within 5 min, purge thecategory. If still not, null edit the template (edit and save w/o ANY changes). — Train2104 (talk • contribs) 15:51, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
UPDATE - I just searched through the commons, and spotted a few images that should've been added to that category, some of which were uncategorized. I'm still convinced there might be more. ----DanTD (talk) 02:07, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
