Hello, my name is Joe, and I'm an intern and have helped David Horvitz on many of his Wikipedia based projects. His newest endeavor is to attempt to delete his own Wikipedia page. I want to be able to help him and accomplish that. I'm new to the whol Wiki editing/deleting and I've accidentally thought deleting the content would bring on a deletion, but it brought on moderators claiming me as an abuser and vandal, which is incorrect. I want to be able delete the page properly and it's public knowledge that the artist wants this to happen, if you can help me with this and provide me the information to do so according to Wikipedia's rules and regulations, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've attached a link from ArtInfo that mentions this project of his to delete his own Wikipedia page. Any help would be great! http://www.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/898465/emerging-david-horvitzs-multiversed-multimedia-and-oft — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joebunkeo (talk • contribs) 14:06, 13 September 2013 (UTC) Please do not add unverified material to Wikipedia articles. Hello, I'm just dropping you a quick note to let you know that I will be helping out as your course's Online Ambassador. Feel free to drop me a note if you need any help or if you have any questions. Cheers. – SMasters (talk) 02:58, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I see your course is using much of the content designed by me; let me know if you'd have any questions. I fixed one tiny part, at a glance I note you currently keep 3 out of 5 5% deadlines, but it does not appear you have made adjustments to the second grading section (perhaps you weren't intending on adding it at all)? PS. If you reply to me, please do so (or copy the reply) to my talk page so I get a notification that you've done so. If you reply here, I won't get such a notification and my reply to you may be significantly delayed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 16:56, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Free CultureHi Michael. We wanted to bring you up to date with where we are with this assignment. As you know, we have been communicating on the book's Talk page. We have also been otherwise communicating extensively to strategize how to best approach and succeed with this project. Applying some of what we learned in the latest workshop, we have decided to go ahead by using the book's themes to cover the Introduction, Piracy, Property, and the Conclusion. We informed DavidMcEddy of our plan, and invited him to contribute to the two remaining themes of Puzzles and Balances, since those were not a part of last semester's work. In this way, the entre book can be covered. We expect that our first stab will be up by or before early next week. Please share any thoughts, advice, cautions that ocur to you? ConfusingRe this edit: please do not confuse your students. What on earth are you talking about? The denizens of the Commons seem happy that this image is already public domain. So why should anyone need to "convert the image to a CC BY-SA license"? If you are actually discussing a shot of the book cover, then that is equally simple: there are several on the web which may be ripped off with a clear conscience and posted as "fair use". The draft article already carries a good example: File:Worldisflat.gif. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:41, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Free University of New York – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page. If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Plan of attackHi Professor, Here's the link to my talk page with this weeks assignment. Assignment 19:07, 30 September 2013 (UTC) Citing problemHello, I have my two sentences from an article abstract on the Academic Search Complete database. I am having trouble referencing on wikipedia from the web citing template and it keeps showing this in red, "Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but references will not show without a {{reflist}} template". I am not aware of what a reflist template is I was just using the web citing template from a database.

Plan of attack for Emilia MaggiHi Professor, I posted my plan of attack to my talk page and added a fact and citation to [Benito]'s page. Emariemag (talk) 17:33, 2 October 2013 (UTC) I have narrowed down my focus to two men that had a lot to do with the innovation of printing early on in the technology's history. Peter Schoeffer and Bi Sheng were both very influential in the making and working of early print material and I would like to gather much more information on both of these two and make that information more accessible to the general public. I plan to do that by gathering information and notes about their lives throughout extensive research. Peter Schoeffer was a printer in the German city of Mainz. Before he was adored for his work in helping create the 42 Line Bible with Johann Fust, Schoeffer was the apprentice of Johann Gutenberg. He ended up testifying against Gutenberg in a case that would ultimately lead to Gutenberg not obtaining the credit that should have been his. I would like to dive more into the personal side of that story and try to get as personal as I can regarding information on Peter Schoeffer. Bi Sheng made the first known movable type using Chinese porcelain. Known as a common man, there is not much information on Sheng's Wikipedia page. He brought about a giant change in technology and I feel as if more people should know about the life and times of Bi Sheng. I will do my bests to gather as much information on Sheng as I can because his contributions to early print technology were more significant than he gets credit for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Af918 (talk • contribs) 01:50, 5 October 2013 (UTC) Link to my article's talk pageHere I have listed my 5 sources to cite from for the Claude Garamond page: Claude Garamond Talk Page — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZH92 (talk • contribs) 17:33, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
Matt Quinn Plan of AttackHello professor, I have a plan of attack for two articles on my talk page and my three designers for the "pick 3-5" assignment on my user page. The two designers I chose to to do a plan of attack on were Jean Dupas and James Huston . Neither of the articles are as detailed as they should be, and in the case of the Huston article, it has maybe 4 sentences, none of which paint any kind of picture as to what the man was about. Jean dupas wasn't on the recommended articles list, but I'm a fan of Art Deco and have actually seen some of his work before, so I figured I'd take a look at his article, and it definitely needs some work, substantial work mind you. You'll find the rest of the details on my page(s). I'm currently compiling sources for Dupas ( hoping to have luck in the library ), and I need serious help with research regarding Huston. I posted an SOS of sorts on either my User or Talk page, not sure at ToW. I'm leaning toward making my main article Jean Dupas, but I'd like your input first. --TheShark93 (talk) 19:10, 8 October 2013 (UTC) Allison Scully - Emil Ruder editHi professor, I dumped the Emil Ruder wiki article into my sandbox and I started to work on it. I added some categories such as "early life", "education and career", and "design work" as well as an artist infobox (which needs a picture, I will eventually add one). Right now I am working on getting the 250 (or more) words that is required for this weeks assignment. Question, is it going to stay in my sandbox until I complete the final assignment? Also, when I am finished, am I going to insert the article as a whole of what I worked on or do I insert the sections I have worked on? Just want to make sure I do it right before it goes onto the main page. Allyscully (talk) 21:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC) As of right now, I have added 364 words to the Emil Ruder article in my sandbox (not including category titles). Allyscully (talk) 22:00, 17 October 2013 (UTC) Matt Quinn- New Designer ProposalHello professor, something came up and I will most likely be unable to make class today, but I wanted to submit a new designer proposal that I think could work. I want to do the article for video game designer, graphic artist, and screenwriter Ken Levine. His page has a little bit to it already, but there could definitely be more added to it. I personally feel this man is a genius. He made the Art Deco-heavy game Bioshock and it's sequel Bioshock Infinite, as well as the System Shock series. These games are idealistic, aesthetic and narrative masterpieces that bring together multiple art styles from different periods of time together with amazing storytelling, and he was the mind behind it all. This man, along with his studio Irrational Games, have almost single-handedly matured video games into art. I think he's worthy of an article in the class. Let me know what you think. I can make his article amazing. He's contemporary, he's breaking and has broken ground, and he's a visionary genius. He's the Gutenberg of video games in a way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheShark93 (talk • contribs) 16:55, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Starting my articleHi Professor- I met with Professor Polger and he helped me so much with looking for more information on Philippe Pigouchet. I started my article and of course will try to have 250 words by tonight/tomorrow morning. I just have one question- do we have to put the page on our talk page first or go straight into starting the page because i always started mine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippe_Pigouchet Please let me know if that's okay so far. AllyscullyHi Professor. I am continuing to work on the Emil Ruder article in my sandbox, I was not sure if you wanted us to keep it in our sandbox until it was complete, but I have not yet updated the actual article page. Also, I am having trouble finding more sources other than the 9 or 10 I have that are useful. I don't think I am going to make the 20 sources that you have assigned. I picked up the books I requested from the Library and they seem to be of little help with information on Emil Ruder himself. I have yet to meet with the Librarian, which I will do soon. I just wanted to give you an update with where I am at on the project. Allyscully (talk) 21:40, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Second Peer ReviewHey Professor- I peer reviewed Anthony Ferrera's page on Johan Fust. I wrote on Anthony's talk page if you want to check that out on books he might find useful when writing his article. I also met Prof. Aaron Polger for the second required time and he helped out with more research on Pigouchet. I felt like i was a little stuck on what else to write but it seems like there should be a good amount of research that i can add to the page to "beef up" the article after the meet. Thanks. Waiting for my second Peer Review. Johnmccarthyyy (talk) 01:10, 28 November 2013 (UTC) Matt Quinn, Misc.I completed both of my peer reviews ( I'll add more to them as I go along, people I reviewed still are, by the majority, sandboxing), made up most of my prep work and finished my article professor. All I have left to do is finish up the annotated sources and I should be done. I edited the Levine article like you suggested, I took the fat off of it and left the discussions of his style, how he implements it, and the reception and effects of his decisions. I also added some of his influences for his writing. --TheShark93 (talk) 18:10, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
