Orphaned non-free media (File:Bizarro Logo.png)Thanks for uploading File:Bizarro Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:42, 3 January 2013 (UTC) Problems with Infobox roller coasterI've seem to be noticing spacing problems with the Infobox lately. In articles like Gulf Coaster and Backlot Stunt Coaster, the spacing is a little messed up. I'm not sure if this has to do with the Extend parameter or if there's something else wrong.--Astros4477 (talk) 02:21, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 5Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Timber Mountain Log Ride, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hurlbut (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). I just reverted a couple of edits by a new editor (User:Theawesomeguys0102) at Gardaland and Magic Mountain (roller coaster). I checked RCDB, and the original of the articles seems to be correct, but this is not exactly my specialty. I added a bit in the Magic Mountain article to clarify (I hope). WP:AP Unassessed ArticlesI was writing the draft of the (future) WP:AP newsletter when I saw how many articles are still unassessed (1,260). I was thinking we can probably do something with that in the form of "Hey, let's assess all the articles" but I don't know if going through the collaboration page is a good idea (maybe just mention it in the newsletter? (See my sandbox to see what I mean)). I was also thinking that we could give out barnstars for users who assess a certain amount of articles but with how many articles there are, I think keeping track of who assessed what will case problems (unless we get some sort of bot to keep count :P ).--Dom497 (talk) 01:33, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

HoaxDo not create, add, or restore hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did with the article Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. When you get some free time, would you be willing to give a cursory glance to SkyScreamer? I removed the whole "design" section because it was really just a bunch of WP:TRIVIA supported with pictures from Facebook. I haven't found any reliable sources to discuss its design features, save for Six Flags' press release discussing how heavy the globe finial is, and that's not enough to merit a subheading. I've compared it against other B-class amusement ride articles and I think we're in good shape now, but there's always room for improvement. Thank you again for your comments! --McDoobAU93 02:39, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:26, 12 April 2013 (UTC) Re your comment in the edit summary of the page. Capitalisation is used to distinguish between the specific and the generic. If "ride" is used it refers to anything that can be described as a roller-coaster. To capitalize as "Ride" means that it refers to this particular roller-coaster, otherwise there would be confusion. I converted most of the "Batman: The Ride"s to "Ride", unless the name begins a new long para or section, or some other ride is mentioned that requires "Batman: The Ride" to be defined again. Too many "Batman: The Ride"s all over the article can look a tad clumsy and superfluous. This capitalisation of a shortening is a commonly-used device. When we write about a college, we start with the full name, after which "College" suffices to refer to the particular college of the article, and "college" to college's generally. IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation. Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. Changes to SuggestBot's suggestionsWe have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotWe are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.

I'm a mid-newbie, which is why I'm reaching out.... East Grand Rapids was the home to Ramona Park and to the Jack Rabbit Derby Racer [1]. As a kick-off project they would like to expand Ramona Park during an edit-a-thon. The Library is home to a local history room - a room filled to the ceiling with memorabilia, photos and artifacts from Ramona Park. The plan is to upload much of this material via Commons (hopefully before the edit-a-thon on October 19, 2013 - coincidentally during Wikipedia Loves Libraries month). One problem - there are few locally evident Wikipedia editors to actually show up at the library for an edit-a-thon. Do you think if we set up a Google hangout, you might be interested enough to remote in? There is a possibility of a cool tee-shirt [2] donated by the library for some, too! I might be able to provide you/this project with a preview of the historical materials - it seems to me there might be more than one article to create. Also I've come up with a DYK candidate: Did you know that President Gerald Ford worked at Ramona Park, home to one of three derby racers in the US? (The Ford part is true, not quite sure of the derby racer stat, though!) Thanks for your consideration, Bdcousineau (talk) 00:09, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Of course, that still needs a reliable source, which I think should be official - not one of the for lack of a better term off the top of my head "fan sites", which I find useful when travelling but not for this. There are some minor queries about a few sources and external links - but the main hold up is the prose. Needs a little tidy to clarify some of the roller coaster jargon for the general reader. And the lead needs building up per WP:Lead to more accurately summarise the contents of the article. SilkTork ✔Tea time 18:15, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dreamworld Corroboree, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aboriginal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
