Illinois photosI'm still sorting through photos of 130 sites from my Lexington trip three weeks ago (that's what produced Second Presbyterian Church; until I saw the nomination, I thought I'd photographed the wrong building), but when those are done, I'm looking to start adding more Illinois images. Last weekend I got through all counties that I'd not previously visited; I only got a few photos in some counties (in Fulton, for example, I got just a few archaeological sites around Dickson Mounds), but I've gotten at least one site in every county, and (aside from Stark, with just one place listed) I think I may have gotten two or more everywhere. Not sure how long it will take to get them all organised, let alone uploaded. I was able to get New Philadelphia; they had a sign giving directions to the publicly-accessible Free Frank McWorter Grave Site, although I couldn't get it (I didn't realise that it was publicly accessible, but I was badly behind schedule after getting stuck in a parade that morning and couldn't visit it), but at least I have good photos for one of the two previously-unillustrated NHLs. Now if someone can just find a good excuse to visit Principia College; they have a guard at the entrance and appeared rather hostile to visitors when I attempted to visit on Memorial Day. IHPA gives nothing at all for it, as far as I can see: no marker on the map, it doesn't appear when you get all Fulton County NR locations, and it doesn't appear when you get all Table Grove locations regardless of their status. Accordingly, I couldn't get the location before visiting (I ended up photographing every single lot on the western side of the village square, just to be sure), so the nomination would be really helpful, and if you know where to get it, things would be simpler than if I had to email NRIS. PaxtonThanks for the note. The location is unquestionably right; the address on this house is 406 (you can partly see the numbers immediately right of the front door), and near the start of Section 8 of the nomination, it's called "little building on the southeast corner of Franklin and Union streets", which is where this house is. I'll revise the description to say that this is the site. I'd simply assumed that they'd weatherboarded and substantially expanded the original building. Nyttend (talk) 12:24, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
DellwoodReally? The Dellwood, New York article has such little content that it could be deleted, and it would effectively work as a merge to the parent article. Even if it's a verified populated place, an article with absolutely no content should be merged to the parent article.--ɱ (talk) 01:09, 29 July 2014 (UTC) Nice stubs!Just happened onto two of your stubs for Nebraska NRHP sites (Site No. RH00-062 and Site No. JF00-072). Info box questionHey, we have a few hundred edits out there with the state name being placed in the info box along with the town name. I asked the editor ewhy and I did indeed take a peek at WP: MOS.........the answer was a it could not hurt, which is true...However, Almo, Kentucky, is an example. That would mean, we would have the state name in the title, the lead, the details, the article , the template and now, the info box 3 times minimum, including the state map???? Just curiousCoal town guy (talk) 13:15, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
McDowell County Gary NeighborsI did indeed find a ref which explained what happened to the towns. They are by specific definition a neighborhood as they became part of Gary in 71, as a requirement of Gary being incorporated. I misunderstood the idea od neighborhood, but Nyttend was patient enough to lay it out in a cogent manner...IF you are interested, I have the ref in the Thorpe, West Virginia article which I will finish editing tomorrow. They will not be listed in the county template, HOWEVER, I can link them from the Gary article and the ref is rock solid.Coal town guy (talk) 02:04, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

I was with a number of friends following a rather heavy night out & decided to cook a full english breakfast (eggs, sausages, bacon, beans & mushrooms). Upon realising that we has no bread to toast & accompany the breakfast, I found some flour tortillas in the fridge & decided to try something different. I wrapped the mentioned items into each flour tortilla & amongst my friends, it was an absolute revelation. The idea grew from there & has been widely copied across the UK over the years & now, clearly, the globe. I'd appreciate if you wouldn't mind re-adding this fact to Wikipedia, & I will be more than happy to have this fact varified from various sources. BuckhornThanks for the note; I've moved the article back. Unfortunately, I didn't see the gym, so because you've read the nomination, you're more familiar with it than I am. Looking for it on Google Street View, I was never able to find the gym, so I assumed that it had been destroyed, until a couple of days ago when I noticed it :-( I definitely would have gotten a photo of the gym if I'd known that it was there. I think I said that I'm preparing to move to PA; that's Thursday, so I've been spending lots of time packing, and my work with these photos is mostly writing up the image description pages so I can upload all 110 of them in a big batch. Back to Pennsylvania AvenueThree months ago, I told you that I couldn't think of another HD that was comparable to the Pennsylvania Avenue Historic District in East St Louis, but now I can say that I've found another one that's simply fallen apart — the Arlington Avenue Historic District in Youngstown OH. Youngstown's definitely a Rust Belt city, but it's nowhere near as bad as East St Louis or Gary; maybe this is because it's the county seat and there's nothing bigger around it (you leave Youngstown, and before long you're in the woods and farms), so they have to maintain the downtown for governmental and educational purposes, and there's nowhere for the locals to go if they can't afford to build in the surrounding communities, unless they move to a different region entirely. Arlington Avenue felt somewhat like Pennsylvania Avenue in that the whole built environment is gone except for this one house, but it wasn't as bad because the surrounding blocks are still neighborhoods, and because the northern side of the street has been replaced with an active parking lot, not overgrown weeds. I specifically said it is the wrong building when I removed it, because it is the wrong building. Copyright checks when performing AfC reviewsHello TheCatalyst31. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular. The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered. If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.) If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}. Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors. I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC). Silver CityWhat can I say? Can't very easily argue with the nomination form or a convincing argument. NRIS indeed calls it "Silver City Historic District North Addition" (refnum 83001620), and the <other names> section reads See Also: Silver City Historic District. It definitely looks like a boundary increase, so I think NRIS has mislabelled/misclassified it: as you say, another NRIS error. Thank you for investigating the situation! Hate these transcription-from-form errors — one such error, putting the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery at address 2131 instead of 2136, means that I'll have to make a 70-mile detour just to get Erie County PA fully illustrated in my own photo collection. The problem is that many (most?) of them don't have clearly identifiable locations, and it's thus often impossible to be more specific than the county (if that's possible), so I can't tell which municipality to put them in. Spots in boroughs are easier, but many of his in-town photos are tilted, or they show little but trees and pavement; if these two were in Pennsylvania municipalities that are currently unillustrated, I don't think I'd upload either of them. I have a specifi question you may be able to answer. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 06:21, 6 January 2015 (UTC) My inlaws live near Martinsville, IL. Now, this is my memory from several years ago, so some details may be/must be wrong. Anyhow, we were traveling around and we went around a courthouse square, somewhere near Martinsville, probably west or northwest of there. I don't know if the courthouse is on the NRHP. In the northwest quadrant of the square was an obelisk with each of the four sides dedicated to a war. One of them gave some years and I asked my father-in-law "what war was that?" He said the Mexican-American War. This was about 6 or so years ago, and every other trip back up there I've tried to find it again. I think we've covered all of the counties that it could have been and never found it. So I think my memory must be faulty, and I'm confusing two courthouses or two trips or something. On subsequent trips I think we've covered all of the courthouses in the area, without finding the obelisk. It isn't very important, but it has been bugging me for years. So don't spend a lot of time on it. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 03:12, 7 January 2015 (UTC) Uva, WyomingHi-Uva, Wyoming many thanks-RFD (talk) 10:04, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Although the Weil-Brezin map and the Zak transform are essentially equivalent, they have some important difference and it is worth to create a separate topic. It is very common two things in Mathematics are essentially equivalent, but are often used by people in different sub fields with emphasize on different point of view, and therefore two wiki entries are created with referring to each other. As you can see the definition of the Weil-Brezin Map and the Zak transform are significantly different, the Weil-Brezin Map transforms a function into a function with three variables, whereas the Zak transform takes a function into a function with two variables. The Weil-Brezin Map is defined via Heisenberg group geometrically, whereas there is no direct geometric or group theoretic interpretation from the Zak transform.
