I did attempt to tighten up wording and flow, but there is really no way I can think of to write a heavily factual article without it being somewhat "list like". The 1944 Cuba–Florida hurricane marked the start of this destructive sequence and dealt a heavy blow on its twelve-day trek from the western Caribbean to Greenland. Unfortunately, records on the storm's impacts in Cuba remain incomplete due to a lack of rural accounts, and the death toll in current literature retains the rough initial estimates of 300. Its large wind field crippled Florida's citrus industry—blankets of orange beneath barren canopies were a common sight across the storm-torn state."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:44, 16 June 2020 (UTC) Your GA nomination of Hurricane AudreyHi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Hurricane Audrey you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated. We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 03:12, 21 November 2022 (UTC) ArbCom 2022 Elections voter messageHello! I've been working on Bastrop State Park and eventually will promote to GA. Once I'm done digging through archives and completing the article, I'll kindly ping you to take a second look if you can. I also worked on Crocheron–McDowall House and it is currently in GOCE; I will nominate it to GA once it gets a good copyedit. Happy to help with any Bastrop-related articles. Cheers.
