Tom Haws (talk) 20:41, 30 May 2008 (UTC) Use of New TemplateI have created a template {{WikiProject Maryland/flag/animated}} using a commons image that could be used on the front page of the Maryland project. As you can see, I have configured it to fly behind the wiki-puzzle-world logo in the upper left portion of the screen. I will leave it there for a couple of days and invite your comments as to whether we should use it on our front page, or not.--«Marylandstater» «reply» 16:32, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

An increase of 2700 articles.
An increase of 3 articles.
An increase of 0 articles. ReferencesDrywallDon't get me wrong; I disagree with you on this particular matter, but I appreciate the work you're doing. There are only a few architects here, and the field is wide open for anybody that wants to improve the topic of architecture; it's woefully underrepresented. Please keep an eye out for proposed deletions; I've rescued a few buildings and architects from oblivion because they were only significant in the '50s, '60s and '70s, a neglected era on this wiki, proving the rule that nobody appreciates 30 or 40 year old buildings; it takes 50 or more years for buildings to become beloved local landmarks or "period detail." Graphic StandardsHave you seen Drafting Culture: A Social History of Architectural Graphic Standards [1]? I just ran across it on Amazon. Sounds interesting, but perhaps not interesting enough for $30, times being what they are. Acroterion (talk) 15:21, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject MarylandIt was recently suggested that WikiProject Maryland might be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. I have started a discussion on the projects talk page soliciting the opinions of the members of the project if this project would be interested in being supported by WikiProject United States. Please feel free to comment on your opinions about this suggestion. --Kumioko (talk) 03:02, 17 August 2011 (UTC) DC-area Meetup, Saturday, October 8
HowdyGood to see you're still around, hope you've been busy in the meantime. Acroterion (talk) 01:28, 11 October 2011 (UTC) Hey - good to hear from you too. No doubt my skills are pretty rusty so baby steps. Teda13 (talk) 01:35, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:ClarencePerry1935.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to File:ClarencePerry1935.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale. If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:19, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks much. I think the guy is notable since he's essentially the grandfather of neighborhood planning in the U.S. but he's no Mumford so there won't be many other pictures of himTeda13 (talk) 03:45, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Greenwashingcard.jpgThanks for uploading File:Greenwashingcard.jpg, which you've sourced to (poster). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:55, 17 December 2011 (UTC) Notification of automated file description generationYour upload of File:312 overhill oeadams.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page. This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge
--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:41, 8 November 2016 (UTC) ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!Hello, Teda13. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC) Orphaned non-free image File:ClarencePerry1935.jpgThanks for uploading File:ClarencePerry1935.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:36, 27 February 2020 (UTC) Submitted Teda13 (talk) Teda13 (talk) 21:23, 31 March 2021 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for April 15Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Christian H. Kahl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Republican Party. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
