Thank you very much for extending a warm welcome and allowing me the opportunity to learn from my mistakes. However, I do not understand why the changes were reverted in this case, as I added a few links myself to keep the article up to date and removed uncited information. Your help would be appreciated. JJoestar90 (talk) 01:29, 17 September 2023 (UTC) about Giuseppe De RosaGood morning from Calabria, I am writing to say hello and know how you are. I'm all right, I was wondering if you could help me on the page in question, it's true, my English is not perfect, but I wish this page had the honor like the others. I have inserted the missing sources, could you kindly take care of the rest? I thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you soon, in the meantime have a good day. Draft: Finnish American ReporterHi! Thanks for reviewing my draft of Finnish American Reporter. I appreciate your eyes on it, especially since it is my first article. Also, love your account approach to "taking out the trash" -- an important role! Helvishmelvi (talk) 15:06, 11 July 2023 (UTC) Rejected Draft: Rachel ClineHi and thanks for your quick review of my proposed page. I understand that writiing about oneself is strongly discouraged. I have taken this step only because I realized (after writing an obit for a close friend who recently died) that I am every bit as notable as many of my peers among novelists (and in particular, novelists who went to Oberlin College and are mentioned under Literature on : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Oberlin_College_and_Conservatory_people.). Waiting for someone else to nominate me has not been a successful strategy--my first novel was published in 2004 when I was 47 years old. I have disclosed the potential conflict and I feel certain that if you take a closer look at what I wrote, you will find that it is factual, informative, and meets the criteria for notability. I ask you to please reconsider. Thank you RachelClineWriter (talk) 00:27, 24 July 2023 (UTC)RachelClineWriter Hello, Taking Out The Trash, Please review Wikipedia:Non-admin closure#Articles for deletion for guidance on when it is okay for a non-admin to close a deletion discussion. This was not a good example of a discussion for an non-admin to close because you closed it early and it was a deletion closure which non-admins can't carry out. Typically, NACs are for discussions that close as Keep, Redirect and Merge, not Delete (which you can't do) or No Consensus (which might be close calls). Thank you. Liz Read! Possible COI on a draft you acceptedMetanoia (2021 short film) was possibly created by the producer of the film, Ariel Lavi, in violation of WP:COI. See Ariel 189's other drafts, which are also films produced by Mr. Ariel Lavi: Draft:Dangerous Silence (2022 short film) and Draft:A Brush With Death (2022 short film). 〜 Festucalex • talk 09:30, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
Jay Goldstein Article HijackingHello, my apologies, but article hijacking was not my intent. The name Jay Goldstein automatically redirects to the New York divorce coercion gang article. However, there was another with the same name who was a published researcher and clinician from California. I am relatively new to editing articles, so I am not sure how to separate the two. My intention was not to hijack the original redirect. My approach to trollsI see we've bumped into each other in editing an IP's talk page [1]. I won't edit there any further, so I leave you to curate the page as you see fit; but I wanted to share my approach to handling trolls, outlined in my mini-essay at Snipe hunting the troll. I believe it's best to give trolls the benefit of the doubt, and deleting "innocent" comment (disingenuous or not) makes it appear as though they haven't responded, and could be construed as an attempt to suppress discussion. I realise some trolls use "Sea Lioning" to protract debate, but that the correct response is to simply ignore it. I appreciate, though, that this leaves the trolling out there seducing a response. More than once I've face-palmed when I see another editor respond, just drawing out the game for the troll. So again, just wanted to give you some other perspectives on trolls. I leave the IP talk page to the rest of the community now. Can you try to fix the notification issue? 118.208.118.228 (talk) 06:40, 27 August 2023 (UTC) Trouble creating a pageThere is a name on a pre-existing wikipedia page that I was going to try and make, but for some reason I cant do it. She does have references online, and there is a pre-existing mention on a different page so in red. I don't know if i'm doing it wrong. It's "elly Hunter Smith" mentioned in personal life here Claire Barnett-Jones, she's called Elly hunter smith. Thanks for any help, or if someone else can do it, maye I should give up. I've only ever fixed grammar across a couple of accounts, or added information, so not sure if it's my lack of experience. I was only doing a small bit of information to just add the reference maybe? Thanks so much Limew78 (talk) 17:49, 6 September 2023 (UTC) New page patrol October 2023 Backlog drive

Botswana99 (talk) 13:39, 19 September 2023 (UTC) New pages patrol newsletterHello Taking Out The Trash, Backlog update: At the time of this message, there are 11,300 articles and 15,600 redirects awaiting review. This is the highest backlog in a long time. Please help out by doing additional reviews! October backlog elimination drive: A one-month backlog drive for October will start in one week! Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Articles will earn 4x as many points compared to redirects. You can sign up here. PageTriage code upgrades: Upgrades to the PageTriage code, initiated by the NPP open letter in 2022 and actioned by the WMF Moderator Tools Team in 2023, are ongoing. More information can be found here. As part of this work, the Special:NewPagesFeed now has a new version in beta! The update leaves the NewPagesFeed appearance and function mostly identical to the old one, but updates the underlying code, making it easier to maintain and helping make sure the extension is not decommissioned due to maintenance issues in the future. You can try out the new Special:NewPagesFeed here - it will replace the current version soon. Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD. Reviewing tip: If you would like like a second opinion on your reviews or simply want another new page reviewer by your side when patrolling, we recommend pair reviewing! This is where two reviewers use Discord voice chat and screen sharing to communicate with each other while reviewing the same article simultaneously. This is a great way to learn and transfer knowledge. Reminders:
