I've reverted your edit as the word is part of a quote from a 17th c. manuscript - the writer actually spelled it that way. In the interests of accurate quoting, I've restored his spelling.RLamb (talk) 20:35, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Bug reportHi there! The spelling changed here is, of course, right, but the word was a part of the misspelled file name. The map wouldn't show after the corrections. Just a heads up—this may be a common occurrence. "typo" correctionsJust a reminder that correcting "typos" in file names is a bad idea, because then the image won't display unless and until the change is reverted or the file moved. As it's an obvious typo in the file name, I've moved the file on Commons, but that won't always be possible. Regards, BencherliteTalk 23:18, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

With regrets, I have reverted your recent change. Your new section that "Redistricting is called delimitation" is unremarkable; there are different words for many things in India, especially because they are often not English words. Consider adding a section explaining how delimitation works, cases where it fails to be accurate, and any deliberate reasons for this. Spike-from-NH (talk)
Fortescue railwayWith AGF ect - I cannot believe that after your time editing you would actually add stuff like that without a WP:RS - it doesnt take much, and as it is dot pointed and claiming things - it should be reverted if you are not going to add reliable sources/cites for something like that... anything to do with Fortescue is problematic if not sourced properly SatuSuro 11:47, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
I have reverted your edits of 17th July to the previous version. There are two reasons for this. The first is that your edits breaking up longer paragraphs into shorter paragraphs orphaned text from its supporting citations. I have no objections to your edits if you wish to proceed, but please take the time to copy and paste the appropriate citations at the end of the new paragraphs. The second is that you included the sentence "The rolling stock could accept 100 feet curve radii." without including a citation supporting it. "Everard Calthrop" is classified a "Good Article" partly because it is fully sourced. Please assist in maintaining its status by sourcing any edits you wish to contribute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.228.82.52 (talk) 06:52, 15 August 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for August 21Hi. We are interested in your experiences of editing Wikipedia and are organising two events that we think you would be an excellent contributor to. First, we are hosting an online wiki focus group about contributing to Wikipedia in Arabic and to articles about the Middle East and North Africa. We are interested in what barriers you perceive to exist in Wikipedia, how articles can be made better and generally what can be done to expand and improve Arabic Wikipedia and Wikipedia articles about the Arab world. This discussion will take place on a MediaWiki hosted at our institution and be available in English and Arabic. We will allow users to create their own discussion pages in addition to our discussions. Second, we are hosting face-to-face workshops in Cairo from 21st-22nd October 2012. If you are interested in this we should be able to pay travel and accommodation costs for up to twenty participants. This workshop will cover similar themes to the online discussion but will allow participants to meet one another and benefit from being together. We will take care of the organization and planning and all you have to do is show up and be ready to discuss. But if you would like to help shape some of the discussion themes in advance, please let us know. We have booked time in the workshops for Wikipedian-led discussions. More details can be found by expanding our “Frequently Asked Questions” below. We would be delighted to welcome you to either (or both) event. Please let us know (wikiproject@oii.ox.ac.uk) if you would like the opportunity to participate and we can send you more details. A tag has been placed on Rawie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Armagh railway accident- "Trial" sectionYou added this section in August 2011. It reports 6 railway employees to have been convicted, which seemed plausible, if unjust in the way suggested. However, the references given are Australian newspaper reports of the verdicts brought in by the coroner's jury at the inquest, which aren't guilty verdicts at a criminal trial. Inquests are/were fact-finding, and verdicts such as 'manslaughter' were (in the 19th century) findings by the jury of the charges which they believed should be brought against the persons named. The named persons would not have been convicted unless/until found guilty at a subsequent (adversarial; higher standard of proof required) criminal trial. (This would not automatically result; the Railway Inspectorate had a very low opinion (which was sometimes heeded)of the ability of coroner's juries to reach the right conclusions, thinking them too easily led (in the absence of RI guidance) to blame the workers who made the actual mistakes that killed people and to overlook deeper problems higher up the chain which put them in a position to make lethal mistakes.) (On the evidence reported by the Railway Inspectorate, even today there would seem to be little chance of a successful prosecution of company officers for anything other than breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act; whilst the accident could have been prevented by an automatic brake system it occurred because of multiple failures of junior employees to do their job properly)Rjccumbria (talk) 23:02, 21 December 2012 (UTC) December 2012Hello, I'm PamD. We noticed though that when you edited Gennaro Nunes (football manager), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Forward (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Request to take part in a surveyI am Piotr Konieczny, a fellow Wikipedian (User:Piotrus) and a researcher of Wikipedia (http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=gdV8_AEAAAAJ). I am currently (in collaboration with WMF) embarking on a project trying to understand why the most active Wikipedia contributors (such as yourself) may reduce their activity, or retire. We have a growing understanding of why an average editor may do so (see http://strategy.wikimedia.org/wiki/Former_Contributors_Survey_Results), but we have a very limited understanding of why the top editors would limit their contributions. Yet it is the top editors like yourself who contribute most of Wikiepdia's content, thus understanding this is of vital concern to Wikipedia's project future. I am contacting you because you are among the top Wikipediana by number of edits, yet your editing activity shows a decline. I would very much appreciate if you would take a minute and answer the following four short questions. Please note this is not a mass email; I am contacting only few dozen of editors like yourself, and each response is extremely valuable. Your response will not be made public, and your privacy will be fully respected. If you would like to help out in this project and take part in a very short survey, please send me a wikiemail, so that I can send you an email with the survey questions. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:26, 16 July 2013 (UTC) File:XB004 CB YeRd.jpg listed for deletionA file that you uploaded or altered, File:XB004 CB YeRd.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Details can be found at Template:Location map Guinea. The size can be altered by the width parameter. See: Railway stations in Guinea Jokulhlaup (talk) 16:18, 14 August 2013 (UTC) I have added another location using degrees and minutes so you can see how it works, more details at Template:Location map+. Hope this will work in your railway article. Jokulhlaup (talk) 15:36, 17 August 2013 (UTC) September 2013Hello, I'm BracketBot. Since you had some involvement with the Barbar, Sudan redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). :Jay8g [V•T•E] 03:40, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
