Hi, it's been a while since I uploaded anything to Commons but if I can remember correctly all I did was right click the photo and then select "save image as", opened it with paint, cropped as needed, saved, and then uploaded using the standard UploadWizard. I had some problems over on Commons when I first started uploading because I was just copying the image and then pasting on paint which meant that the metadata was lost. Since using the above method all of the metadata seems to have been retained. Hope this helps.
Hey, just wanted to say kudos on the work you've done on the above article. Have you considered nominating it for WP:GA once the season ends? I reckon it would be a shoo-in. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 19:29, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the kind words Matty. I'm not really familiar with the WP:GA process but if you think it has a chance of being successful at the end of the season then I'd certainly be interested in putting it forward. Cheers T 88 R (talk) 19:22, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies - I am new to this whole Wiki edit function. Management at my company had asked me to edit the content for their client Gozie Ugwu. They felt from a PR perspective the "section that I removed" painted a negative picture of their client, especially now as he is in the process of securing a new contract for a new club.
Moving forward I will ensure I add explanatory text as required, when any edits are made.
Thanks for your message.
Regards
Hi, thanks for your reply, no need to apologise. I have edited the section of Ugwu's page to try and make the language more neutral.
For future reference, if you are editing on behalf of other people, it would probably be a good idea to read the Wikipedia page on conflict of interest.
