Ralph Bakshi FilmsHi, Sugar Bear! Very belated response, by months, since I hadn't been checking into Wikipedia much of late (I'm more active on Muppet Wiki as an admin). Anyway, I'm going over the list now, and a few wound up incorrectly attributed in the text (not many though), but here's a guide to using the book. There are initials after each entry, for Jerry and the four main contributing writers (myself, Bob Miller, Fred Patten, and Martin Goodman), and in a few cases, a full name (since at the end, a couple other folks pitched in for one or two entries only). Marea Boylan, for example, did Lord of the Rings. -- Aleal (talk) 21:58, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
ICP Miracles edits, not vandalismYou should assume good faith. It seems that everyone of your edits to the article on that ICP Miracles song accuses every other editor of vandalism This song is the source of the "fuckin' magnets" internet meme, an example of magnetism in popular culture, and has been blasted by some for being anti-science.If your pissed at the scientist, isn't that anti-intellectual? Nu Metal The version you edited was much better written than yours which (i assume) is designed to combat vandalism rather than give people a feel for what nu metal is. So I don't agree with you that the edit was vandalism, as it was truer, but as yours is more verifible its fine please do not say edits that are better written are vandalism, its confusing Syxxpackid420 (talk) 09:06, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Amazing Jeckel BrothersOK, after some digging, I found this: http://www.popmatters.com/music/reviews/i/insaneclownposse-amazing.shtml This mentions "Another Love Song" as a "a psycho parody of Beck's "Jack-Ass": http://music.barnesandnoble.com/The-Amazing-Jeckel-Brothers/Insane-Clown-Posse/e/731452466129 The article, which is basically a negative review of the album, references that the album has "great samples ranging from 70's funk to calliope music to Beck." I think that ICP sampled Beck's song Jack-Ass, which in turn sampled "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue." This would make sense, I don't know if we need to find a better citation. I can keep looking. As for the second part, I think that was original research on my part. I'll remove it until a good citation can be found. I think if we keep this up, we have a good chance to make this article move up to GA-Status!--Gen. Quon (talk) 02:25, 11 May 2010 (UTC) MiraclesI don't see what your point is. You repeatedly add an entire paragraph that repeats information already established in the "Music video" section (the SNL parody and Bruce's reception of that parody), adds claims that are not backed up by the source used, or any other source for that matter (Internet memes), and basically serves no purpose other than to pad out the article. Despite the claim made by an anonymous editor on the Insane Clown Posse talk page, we're not looking to have as much text as there can possibly be devoted to everything in the world. Trim the fat. I figured out a solutionOk so I guess we are all having a battle about this nu metal, groove metal subject. So your right, I cant simply act like I own the article. And as well I can start a wikia. So here is my plan. Im starting numetal at wikia. It will have nu metal, groove metal, etc. All the hated/controversial genres of metal. These articles will be the prototypes for the ones on wikipedia. Once they are finished, sourced, cleaned up, formatted properly. I'll send them by you can you can tell me whether or not they can be the actual wikipedia articles.70.119.201.161 (talk) 18:58, 27 May 2010 (UTC) Fritz the CatHi there, thanks for the note on my talk page regarding Fritz's FAC nom. I've looked at the article history and can't see that you've added much about the flavour of the Fritz strips, so I have no basis to update my comments there. Let me know if you feel I've missed something. If I were trying to tackle my own criticism I'd try to find some strips that were considered more important than others if possible and then describe them with a bit of detail. If no strips stand out as obvious candidates then I'd try to seek out ones that seem typical of the work. From the little I know of Crumb I thought one thing he does a fair bit is have something drawn in the frame and then a caption with an arrow labelling what he's drawn; that kind of thing could be mentioned in the article: stuff he does a lot or repeats would all be of interest. Well done on all the work you've put in so far; it's a very good article, I just don't personally feel I can support featured yet. Others may disagree of course! --bodnotbod (talk) 15:48, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I read it again. It is on the right track, but I still can't say it is a comprehensive article. The key is detail. Some things needed to be comprehensiveness.

I think it would be good to translate the article on the Wikipedia in Spanish, is complete and has good information. I will gladly help, but I'm not native English speaker (sorry for my difficult language). Goodbye. Teby 95 (talk) 02:48, 2 June 2010 (UTC) Ooops?I'm assuming you didn't mean to reintroduce the POV commentary when you reverted this edit? I've taken the two lines in question out but retained your other changes. Cheers, --Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 14:54, 10 June 2010 (UTC) |
