I've fixed your talk archivesI was trying to find a message in one of my archives, came across our conversation in July about audio books and John Marsden, and was trying to read it in full. I noticed that your August archive linked to messages in September and October - I found that you had overwritten the August archive with the September-October one. I have cut and pasted that archive into a newly created September-October archive and reverted the July-August archive back to the way it was before. I hope you don't mind. I usually create a link to the archive first before archiving, to make sure that I'm archiving into a non-existent page. Another tip is to put talk archives on your watchlist, in case someone inappropriately changes an archive. I'm also a librarian -- well, a former librarian; currently an information law attorney who works with librarians (in the States). Anyway, I wanted to respond to your comment on the editor's page about women writers. I too have been thinking about the use of subject headings and search terms in thinking about categories lately. If you don't already (or haven't previously) participated in categories for discussion, I think there are a lot of discussions that could use some sensible real-world approaches like that. ... the specific issues I was thinking of for subject headings & search terms wasn't women writers (although you're absolutely right) but other ethnic/occupational categories. Anyway -- obviously I have no idea what you might think about those issues, but I would love to see someone who's thinking about library & reference uses also keeping a weather eye on relevant discussions. ... I simply changed it to a format that I am more used to. Please feel free to change it back. I am spending more time adding references to various poet stubs because many of them have no, or limited, references. This "lack of references" issue was my original intent also with the Robert Adamson (poet) article. Feel free to change it anyway you prefer. This is a treasure-trove of photos I discovered a couple of days ago, completely by accident, so I added a whole bunch to some articles that caught my eye. It seems to me there is a bot there looking for pics on Wikimedia, and conveniently displaying them for anyone to pick up (the stuff is refreshed periodically). Moreover, clicking on a link does the pasting of the image automatically -- one still needs to tweak the placement and/or the caption sometimes.
