A belated apologySpawn Man, I am sincerely sorry for how I conducted myself when we last interacted. I hope that any negative effect my comments had on you at the time have long gone away, as what I said was mailicious and unwarranted. I hope you can return to your former glory in writing excellent articles, and again, my apologies for my actions - they were unnecessary, and inexcusable. Daniel 08:19, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
The Dinosaur PortalHi, Spawn Man - I'd be happy to keep an eye out for topics of interest for the portal. J. Spencer 02:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC) Thanks for the refsThanks for doing up the citations for your new photographer article. By the way, I think your spoof new message hack is officially against the rules. You ought to take it out. Dicklyon 03:37, 21 May 2007 (UTC) Do you know this guy? You should go take a picture of him. And I added some space, to give you something to argue about. Dicklyon 03:40, 21 May 2007 (UTC) Coordinating WP dino collabYou wanna do this again? Seriously I am a bit of a slob so forget about some of the housekeeping stuff. Completely forgot as I was buried in birds and toadstools, though have one at FAC now. Just a quick note to let you know that we may be going automated! Well, not fully automated, but one page may get automated updates. I requested a bot for the endless chore that is Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs/dinosaur articles by size, as it's difficult to keep the list updated regularly, and the tools we have to update it aren't ideal anymore. Some brilliant programmer is building us a beautiful, shiny new bot that will keep the list updated automagically. Tres chic, eh? :) Happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 07:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC) Signpost updated for May 28th, 2007.

You did post a long time ago tough, but if you're interested, I'm going through slowly. I've rewritten & expanded these articles so far: Dewlap, Armour (zoology), Neck frill & I've attempted to expand Club (zoology), but it's a harder topic. Drop by my talk page & maybe we can combine forces & polish each other's articles once we've rewritten them or something? Cheers, Spawn Man 07:48, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey Spawn! Just saw your edits on Daspleto. Does this mean we can count on you to help? It is the closest thing to T. rex since... well, T. rex... :) Firsfron of Ronchester 05:10, 11 June 2007 (UTC) Re: ThanksI didn't revert all of them, just the ones that didn't improve the article. I've also gotten involved with an FAR of schizophrenia, though it really seems too much like work to me. As I'm a doctor I'm worried I've descended too much into jargon. If you had time, let me know any specific criticisms of the article as its giving me a headache....I gave it a big cleanup and shakeup but there's pressure to complete the job and copyediting isn't my forte....cheers, Cas Liber | talk | contribs 07:44, 11 June 2007 (UTC) WP:TOLSpawn, please discuss stuffl ike this first. I don't know what you are using to define "reptile", but every definition I've ever heard includes dinosaurs. Even phylogenetically, there are two definitions. One, monophyletic, would include birds and other dinosaurs as reptiles. The traditional, paraphyletic definition used on TOL for simplicity's sake is paraphyletic and excludes birds and mammals, not non-avian dinosaurs. Any way you cut it, they are reptiles. As are pterosaurs, but you didn't remove WP:Pterosaurs... they're warm blooded, have "fur", etc. Also, you're post on Mgigantius' talk page seems to indicate that you're mis-reading the quote from Dinosaur. You seem to think that because some prehistoric reptiles were not dinosaurs, dinosaurs were not prehistoric reptiles. This doesn't make sense. What it actually means is that all dinosaurs are reptiles, but not all reptiles are dinosaurs. Dinoguy2 09:26, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Images requestsHi Spawn, It would be a pleasure to make all these images for you. All I need is some good skeletals to work with. Actually, I think I've drawn more non-dinos than dinos so far. Cheers. ArthurWeasley 04:27, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I saw it on the front page! Not a whole lot of non-dinosaur fossil reptile articles so I had a look. Saw a little debate on the talk page so I thought I would help out since I had the article handy. Nice little article... we really could use a lot more Mesozoic non-dinosaur articles so bravo. Arthur Weasley your personal artist! Now there's a tough 1-2 punch! :) Sheep81 11:33, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Commas or parentheses for scientific name in opening sentence and elsewhere(Now that was a long header wasn't it?) There's a debate here about commas versus parentheses for scientific names for organisms (well in this case birds). I'm not sure whether this has been raised elsewhere but would be good to establish once and for all here and could apply as MOS across all biology articles. cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 21:06, 18 June 2007 (UTC) 9000th edit:Yay! ArthurWeasley 06:19, 20 June 2007 (UTC) FYIUser:WBardwin has attempted to convert the pop culture section of Tyrannosaurus into a list. I reverted it, he reverted it back, I re-reverted it, and now he has added some trivial reference into the section. I cannot revert it again for fear of breaking WP:3RR. See my attempt at civility here: User_talk:WBardwin#Tyrannosaurus_rex_pop_culture. I let Firsfron know since he has the whole patience thing down, unlike the two of us, but I thought I'd let you know in case he doesn't see it our way. :) Sheep81 08:40, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Odd.....I just checked edit count & noticed that the count only had me down for 288 edits to the article Dinosaur. This is odd because I specifically remember that's the only article I've ever made over 300 edits to. How could my edit count for that article have gone down by 12 edits? Thought you might know since you're all up with your edit count etc. Cheers, Spawn Man 11:39, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
ThanksHi Spawn, just want to say thank you for the barnstar. Very much appreciated. For the next project, I am thinking it can goes the other way round: I have a few illustrations that do not have any article, such as image:Baurusuchus_BW.jpg and image:Uberabasuchus_BW.jpg. Would you be interested in writing up these articles? Cheers. ArthurWeasley 15:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
WP DinoHi Spawn Man, Thanks for making the effort to try to apologise about our WP Dino argument, but it hasn't done anything to change my mind about you. It seems to be your way, blow up at someone, then turn around and apologise (in a backhanded sort of way). Every other editor responded positively but you, because I think I made a reasonable point in a reasonable way. That you trumped it up to some sort of vicious attack and managed to get personally offended is tiresome, and I just don't need that kind of pointless aggravation on the Wikipedia. — John.Conway 09:03, 23 June 2007 (UTC) Spawn Man, My original comments on the dinosaur talk page were respectful and appropriate, and I think you need to ask yourself why you are the only one that has reacted in a negative way. As for me now knowing you well enough, or giving you chances; well, you have done this to me before (see the Strutiomimus talk page), and I've seen you do similar things to other editors. Look, this isn't a personal crusade on my part, I just don't want to have to deal with your over reactions to honest criticism. And since I don't think you're about to change, that means having as little to do with you as possible. P.S. If you'll read my comments again, I think you'll find I never called you "vicious", I was on fact referring to that fact that you have misinterpreted my criticism of the dino project's direction as a vicious attack on you, which is not the case. — John.Conway 16:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC) CommentsHi Spawn, Just a reply to the comments you made on my talk page: Hmmm, I smell treason about me.... It's always nice to know people never stop talking about you behind your back eh?
I don't need you apologising for me Firs, I'm quite capable of doing it myself, as I already have in a way.
If you have a problem about how I act, place it on my talk page, not someone elses.
I wouldn't want to be a problem or a hinder to anyone wanting to get things done around the project. In any case, it's good to know who your friends are...

Ralbot 21:05, 14 August 2007 (UTC) Breaking my vow of silence:Hi Firs! I think I've done pretty well staying under the radar recently - heck nobody even knew it was my second first edit day bar one guy! Mind you no one would have remembered anyway lol. ;) Anyway, I've still got a nagging feeling about that user User:Cuddly Panda. Firstly, I get blocked on site for any incivilty, however it ergs me that this user has been abusing the image and uploading system numerous times for a long while without even a single warning. After I came to you with this problem last time, I gave the user a comment about the uploading rules, which they ignored, and as I said I'd do, I placed a complaint on the admin's noticeboard. This went without any comments on it and nobody warned the user. Since then I've seen the user place at least one fair use image (without trying to look for more as I've got better things to do) on Tyrannosaurus in popular culture without fair use rationale (I've noted on the article's AfD that it needs rationale) so this indicates that the user has not responded to any of the messages I've left or the bot warnings. I'm coming to you not as a friend, but as a user who is citing another user for abuse of the system. A simple warning would make me happy, as the user has not recieved one despite my best efforts. And the noticeboard hasn't been useful either times I've managed to use it, so I thought I'd see if you could do something. People listen to admins. Cheers Firs. :) Spawn Man 05:02, 15 August 2007 (UTC) P.S. I also have a hunch that the user is also using a sockpuppet - I'd do it myself, but I don't know how, but is there a way we could check user User:Not an anon anymore? The user has the same user boxes, has been in contact with Cuddly Panda, has had the same problems formatting their signature, writes in similar articles and has a similar mannerism. I thought this might be enough to warrant doubt? And none of their edits overlap by the looks of things. Anyway, please get back to me. Cheers, :) Spawn Man 05:02, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
