I haven't reviewed in a bit, but your note is a good reminder for me to get back involved in the project. I see you've reviewed Chanelle Pickett already (which looks like a solid article), but my advice always (as you may already know) is that your best resource as a reviewer is to constantly be cross referencing pages & subpages over on WP:N (I am consistently surprised at the breadth of guidelines for specific article genres) and of course WP:THREE. If you have any articles that you're not sure should be approved or want a second opinion don't hesitate to leave a note. SiliconRed (he/him • talk) 17:24, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
While we're on the subject, what do you think about Draft:A colorful life? It needs work regarding the Manual of Style, but notability (or lack thereof) isn't clear. It won an award: not a major one, but it still looks relevant. And being from Africa, I feel like the "burden of proof" of notability should be a little lighter there than with subjects from developed countries, though this is a subjective thought. Sorry, have been AfK for a bit -- looks like it was declined since you were looking at it. I think the decline was the right move (for now). This is because it has only one citation where the film is the primary subject -- there are other citations with passing mention, which is useful, but not sufficient to demonstrate notability. I would expect to see two more citations where the film is the primary subject.
I hear you on trying to recognize underserved subjects, but remember -- it's not WP's job to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. The best use you can serve as a more experienced editor in that context is to go out and look for more cites! They're plausibly out there 🙂 SiliconRed (he/him • talk) 12:32, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
