Thanks for letting me know about the first Adelaide Wikipedia meet-up, unfortunately I can't go. I'll try and get there next time it comes around. Taylor09:07, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it seems to have ended up pretty minor so no need to do anything - I'll try not to feel too intimidated by the legal threats from lawyesr and that my talk page will be edited mercilessly :-) It's a pity that its circulation claims are unverifiable - if they were the article would be keepable. The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.
My Scores
Hi. I just emailed my EA User page award scores to you today. I usually have problems with my hotmail, so I just want to make sure that you received them. --EdtalkcE20:55, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, I got the two users mixed up the wrong way, they're both on my userpage. My apologies for the confusion. I have no idea what happened. --JoanneB16:25, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings, Shreshth91. The judges would like to announce that the winner for the Esperanza User Page Contest has been chosen. Congratulations to Buchanan-Hermit for winning the contest. The winning entry can be found here.
Hey, good to hear from you guys, unfortunately, I have been away on work for a most of this week, and I may be going again very soon, so I may not be able to speak to you guys for a while, but will keep you updated if I dont go. Speak soon! PhilcTECI17:49, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you
Thanks for the userpage award congrats. I was away all day, so coming back to see my userpage get that high a score was a startling but pleasant surprise. :) -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?!05:08, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Bah, I'm sorry, had a bunch of things land on my desk this morning, and I couldn't get to it. I should be able to tomorrow morning by say 16:00 UTC. - TaxmanTalk14:55, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You and Sorry
I apologize, my internet connection at home has been dodgy lately -- I did not mean to leave so abruptly, nor be so rude to you -- over the past few months, Wikipedia has made me feel small and powerless, and i've found that people in general who feel like that act in two ways if that feeling can't change.
They become victims and live in fear
They lash out, often at those who don't deserve it.
I was #2, and I apologize if I lumped you in with unsavory characters -- like I said, the only reason why I do not vandalize is because I gave my word to Anirudh -- that word is far more important to me that Wikipedia is, and i'd be honored to include you into that promise as well.
I am a good guy, regardless what happens on Wikipedia. I'll always try to listen, even if we disagree. I have an idea to help Carmen Chamelion out, i'll explain more later. Karmafist17:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shreshth - I'm sorry for not fulfilling my previous commitment - I have been busy enough to be unable to complete many FA plans until now. It was great that you obtained external reviews - I will copyedit the article now. I expect that the article will be fully and finally ready for FAC by Sunday. Please check my work when you can and judge when you wish to start the FAC. Also, I suggest you try to think of a different title for the article - in the last FAC, Tony had complained about it. I suggest something like "Indian constitutional rights and duties." Rama's arrow13:01, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Amendments section is unnecessary. You already discuss "right to property" and the other amendments in the main sections, so what is the need for a separate section which only (1) repeats info and (2) adds to the length? The note about how a constitutional amendment is enacted can be easily inserted in the first two sections. If you want to stress that changes have occured, you are already doing so in the preceeding sections. I'm proceeding to remove that section, but obviously feel free to revert and debate. Shreshth91, thanks for signing up for the Esperanza User Page Contest. The judges have received the fifteen entries, and are ready to start judging. The judges will take a week to complete the judging process, and they will contact all the participants when the judging is done.
Hi there Shreshth. You nomed Cyde at the number 15 spot, but I've removed him, as he was already nomed. Which, unforntunatly, means that we still have a space to fill :( Thε HaloΘ15:11, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Shreshth - I'm a bit edgy about FAC as yet - I think its necessary for Sundar to give a green light on this. I hope you don't mind waiting for a couple of days more. Rama's arrow12:15, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Shreshth. There were a lot of things that needed fixing in the first few sections and you'd seen my copyediting. The issues were primarily that of grammar and use of Commonwealth English. I haven't yet read the remaining sections. Will tell you by tonight. A green signal from me is just not enough, the article might not meet Tony's rigorous prose requirements which are clearly justified. Let me give a complete reading and tell you. -- Sundar\talk \contribs06:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry Shreshthbhai, I believe we're very close to the second FAC. We've cleaned up the article by and large - if you note, the size has dropped by 11kb. I've been attacking redundancies and poor grammar based on Tony's previous objections. Once Sundar gives his feedback, you have my full support to start the FAC whenever you want. I will help you monitor it and address any issues. Rama's arrow15:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if I sounded hopeless. :) All I wanted was a round of copyediting. You have my vote now after the latest round of copyediting by Nirav. Let this article grace the main page someday. -- Sundar\talk \contribs16:27, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, I hope that in my copyediting I haven't inadvertantly removed valuable info - except that which was repetitive. Please have a look. Rama's arrow15:08, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
