Matt SmithThat seems reasonable - the hatnote is a bit of a mess but should help avoid confusion (although the confusion seemed to largely be with the first chap - who was credited as Matt Smith early in his career - it is also noteworthy that when I went to the Comic Book DB to source Matthew Smith it turns out they've also made the same error so I've flagged it). At the moment it doesn't look like the fourth Matt Smith is notable enough to make it on here but could be mistaken for the illustrator (as the bulk of his work seems to be in magazines and books) but I'll keep an eye on the situation. I think the medium-to-long term fix is to move Matt Smith (comics) and use the page to disambiguate the various parties but I think that disambiguating should address the concerns (it certainly seemed to have stopped the problems) and once the Comic Book DB is fixed I'll source them both (at the moment it'll only add to the confusion). Category:Fiction writersI'm sorry, I'm not sure I know what you mean. It does kind of seem like the categories for comic book editors and manga artists ought to be under the "umbrella" of the fiction writers cat, though they don't seem to be. I have finished putting the article in the present tense, though I am going to check over it to make sure it sounds grammatically correct. Also I think that the picture we have of Cell now is quite good, as it shows a good head- torso shot him. Though I am thinking that maybe we should simply have a forms and transformations section instead of apperance, do you think that would work? Also I can't seem to find a good dragon Ball image site that isn't riddle with spyware like myfavoritegames.com is, even though I have mcafee, I am still not sure about going back on that site. ShinigamiI wouldn't classify them as either. Samurai is a profession, more or less, and swordsmen would imply a single skill, when that is most a matter of circumstance. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 20:56, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
InuYasha Japanese charactersAs far as I know, all the main and recurring ones are. I know that in the anime (and possibly a movie or two), there were demons coming from China in a few stand alone stories. But as the category contains List of Love Hina characters which has a few non-Japanese characters, I don't see what prevents putting the entire InuYasha characters category under Japanese anime and manga characters, instead of trying to find which InuYasha characters aren't and make individual links.--Boffob 22:46, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Are you saying you want to delete all the InuYasha character pages or just the minor ones? I agree that many articles could be bundled together, but I don't think there's a point to try and do this for the main characters and the important recurring ones.--Boffob 18:01, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

"Personality" was original research, "Cameos" duplicated "Appearances", "Video Game series" was unnecessary and "Merchandise" insubstantial. I'm guessing South Park's Imaginationland was the reason for the accumulated cruft.--Nohansen 03:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC) Buu HooI'm at a loss to understand your take on disambiguating. What is B.U.U.? It's a completely erroneous page created to satisfy an incomprehensible interpretation of dab formatting that exists nowhere else on Wikipedia. Show me one other example where this has happened - God knows I've shown you enough examples of our common practice to disambiguate article titles. We don't create acronyms for things, but we do disambiguate articles by their initials. There is a big difference. As to your insistence not to delete content, what content??? You're a great editor, hence the reason this has really surprised me. Deiz talk 06:46, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

I watched the anime a while back and thus started cleaning up the episode list. Mind you, the old format (see List of YuYu Hakusho episodes (Chapter Black Saga) or List of YuYu Hakusho episodes (Saga of the Three Kings)) makes it a pain in the ass to work with, since switching to {{Japanese episode list}} is extremely tedious. As to your question, I own none of the manga. For comparison purposes you can see List of Claymore chapters, List of Naruto chapters (Part I), or List of Naruto chapters (Part II) (all FLs which I wrote incidentally) for what the chapter list should look like. Therefore you need:
If you have that, then the list should be good. As for the character lists, you need information on their conception/design/reception, as well as cutting all the extraneous in-universe details. In other words: the author's thoughts on the character during the design process, any changes made at given time, any merchandise released on the character, critical commentary from secondary sources. You get the gist. Whether these exist or not is unknown to me. Given that the manga and anime have concluded, your chances might be higher at finding it though. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 00:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC) RedirectsI thought the issue was around disambiguating acronyms or abbreviations, so I wanted you to see the WP:R Spellings misspellings tenses and caps section on "abbreviations", I thought it might help with the acronym/abbreviation issue, wich looked like a redirect from a title with an abbreviation..like B.U.U. - but I really didn't follow the whole discussion between talk pages..so, it may be worthless to you. Cell ImageI mean this in no offense to you sesshomaru, but that picture you uploaded is just really bad. The previous image is much clearer and less close up. DB manga articleJust to let you know, I restored that one. I did removed the analysis of the series' themes, as it was entirely original research. The rest just needs cleanup though. The Plot/Evolution sections, by nature of being plot info written in summary style, don't technically need sources. However, someone actually did insert sources of manga chapters, which are a viable first-party source. They didn't use the correct format, but that's an editorial thing we just need to tidy up. The Journey to the West section- I'm certain we can find a source cuz it is common knowledge (actually common knowledge amongst those knowledgeable on the subject falls in with what doesnt need a source, but I'd still like to find one). There is mention in the Newbie Guide on Daizex of the origins (and the Nyoi-bo speciifically), which could go as a 3rd party source, specifically self-published. I know such are to be used sparingly, but there shouldn't be a problem in this case. I believe the Kintoun (Nimbus) is directly taken from the Chinese novel as well. So I'll dig around. Editing of the North American version does have some sources in the form of comparable manga chapters for both versions. Again, the issue is just that the citation format is incorrect and needs some editing. This is a clean-up case, not a deletion of OR case. Relation to the Anime shouldn't need a source neyond the shows themselves, except maybe a citation that Toriyama didn't do GT. Whether we decide to cite something or not, the section isn't in error and doesn't qualify as OR. Influence section borders on OR, but I'm going to try to source it and expand it. I'm not sure if Super Sonic's mention should stay, we'll see if a source is on it. I did find an interview with Yuji Naka (http://sonicjam.wikidot.com/aii2005:dec30) where he says Toriayma never commented on Super Sonic. We could mention something like the Super Sonic article about it being widely beleived, but Yuji Naka has stated AT never commented on such. However, Yoshio Sawai (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo) has done parody of Dragon Ball at least three times- one piece of DBZ art done in his style, one parody manga done for Shonen Jump's 2005 gag special (theres a download of this up on daizex actually), and at least once in parody in Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto) has named Toriyama and Dragon Ball as one of his major influences. Seishi Kishimoto (666 Satan/O-Parts Hunter) has stated he shares the same influences as his brother. Eiichiro Oda (One-Piece) has also said Toriyama's DB and Dr. Slump are his biggest influences, which in part lead to Cross Epoch as well as the collaborative video game Battle Stadium D.O.N. The South Park movie had a DBZ parody (Cartman powering up the V-Chip via swearing to fire blasts). I'm not a huge fan of the IMDB, but I do believe it is an allowable source and I know that last one at least is cited there under "Movie Connections" (at least until a better ref could be found). Mr. Fullswing parodies DB at least once, as does Excel Saga. I'm also checking to see if Shining Gundam's (Mobile Fighter G-Gundam) Super mode is DBZ based or not (more likely GaoGaiGar-inspired, but I'm checking). Robot Chicken had a Dragon Ball parody in the second season (I have to look up which episode, but its the one where they "save Christmas"). And of course, Toriyama's own Neko Majin parodies DBZ. Also, the DB Kanzenban volumes came with pamphlets containing DB-inspired images drawn by current famous manga artists in their own styles. So this section can easily be expanded and sourced. I'm sorry this is so long, but this is a major issue and you have your doubts as to the quality of these articles. I just wanted to go section by section so we can illustrate what the specific problems are. Your thoughts? Onikage725 (talk) 10:25, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
DaizenshuuI haven't seen Steve Simmons on the forums (doesn't mean he isn't there, but not to my knowledge). Mike/VegettoEX runs the site and participates in the forums. His co-runner Julian is very good at Japanese (studies it at the college level and lived there for a bit too- might stillbe there, I'm not sure). They actually just did a giveaway of Daizenshuu 2. Castor Troy is on the forums there. I dunno if you remember his old site 3G (Ginga Giri Gir), but he used to have Daizenshuu scans up. A few of the other forum posters also own the Daizenshuu and/or Dragon Box DVD sets, and are usually pretty good at posting screen caps. By way of example, someone hosted these- http://img189.imageshack.us/my.php?image=daizenshuupowerlevels18ah.jpg and http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/2931/yehbiatch7zt.jpg, power levels from the french translation of Daizenshuu 7. I know we aren't doing power levels, that's just an example. Actually, let me ask, but Folken might have some of the French releases (France didn't get the complete set, but they did get a number of them officially released, and having them in a roman alphabet is helpful for verification).
