HumanbotI saw that you left a comment on the Humanbot talk page saying that it worked for you. It doesn't seem to for me. I was just wondering if I was missing a step out, as I have not had a reply to the question I left there. Here is what the message I left said: I have installed the User script and it shows up in the "manage user scripts" window. The problem is that the little box on the left hand side of the screen (between "toolbox" and "other languages"). Its nowhere to be found. I've tried a restart and reinstalling and purge but it won't appear. Can you help? --Celestianpower hablamé 12:39, 1 October 2005 (UTC) Fixed the southern degreesThanks for the error report. -- Egil 18:10, 2 October 2005 (UTC) West Coast RangeWow, thanks for what you could do with crotty and mount read - what's the chance for help for all my red entries in the West Coast Range article?vcxlor 03:11, 3 October 2005 (UTC) I am impressed by the fact that you can get co-ordinates, and along with co-ords and a stub and category, it makes it more likely that some people are likely to add, and or edit - as opposed to starting new arts. But maybe I should take the share, seing I started the range article. There's also the issue of cross-referencing some of the other west coast items, as some edit persons don't always know about the parallels that well. enough! should get back to work!vcxlor 04:09, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Maybe one a week the way things are - too many tangents too many projects, thanks at least for your in principle support, it is very encouraging in this vandal prone domain!!!!vcxlor 12:17, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your co-ord work. By the Way have you seen the box someone has put with Mount Wellington? wow, if we could get a handle on that we'd have a rather spectacular west coast range array don't you thinkvcxlor 14:23, 20 October 2005 (UTC) OK if its not easy (Mt Wellington bit) I wont touch it! I have tried in some my stubs, just to put names in a sort of unformatted thing like North of the location, South of the location etc before I get around to loading more info. I dont know what happened tonight but I lost at least what I though were about 3 or so new stubs, cant see what happened to them. oh well keep up the good work!!!vcxlor 15:18, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
Great work on Australian townsI just wanted to mention that I think you're doing a great job on Australian towns. I found your Plain Town Names page very useful, and it's inspired to to get cracking on filling in some of those red links. Cnwb 04:46, 8 October 2005 (UTC) Motor racing circuits category renamingThe CFD vote was closed as Rename subs to "Motor racing venues in country", but the edits seem to be getting made to articles such as Adelaide Street Circuit changing to Category:Car race tracks in Australia. In certain gay circles "space cadet" means a young queen who has taken too many party drugs - possibly it's a muddled version of that. Adam 11:47, 23 October 2005 (UTC) Don't worry, I've been offended by experts. Speaking of queer topics and since you're a South Australian, I'm sure you will agree we should have an article on the Dr Duncan murder of 1972. I will see if I can find some source material. Australian Football articlesHey Scott, I'm reasonably new to the site, and I know you're not an admin, but where could I start an Australian football project? You might laugh at this, but I think we could turn Wikipedia into a database of Australian rules footballers. I mean, it's been done with Formula One drivers, so why not with AFL? I know there are plenty of Aussies out there, so if you could get back to me with your response, that would be great. Cheers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rogerthat (talk • contribs)
My RfAHi Scott Thank you indeed for you vote and your kind words, although I don't think the situation will change there; one of the sad things about this nasty, unexpected turn of events is that I won't have the opportunity of interacting with people such as yourself and Peta. I'll be leaving Wikipedia feeling angry, distressed and depressed. It will not be easy to resist the temptation to bag the project long, wide and hard on the Internet. On the Australia article and page, I appreciated your even-handedness and authority. It must be one of the best articles on WP, and you've played a significant part in that. I wish you well. I haven't heard back from Peta, who I asked as a final favour to trash my user page and image when the time comes. I do hope that she responds. Tony 23:38, 29 October 2005 (UTC) Thanks again, Scott; you speak so much sense. Tony 03:33, 30 October 2005 (UTC) Re: Stress/RfAIt was to Kookyman, yes. DavidoCongratulations guys on a wonderful effort at researching this. I am the one responsible for the page and I apologise for the dissruption but I needed to test how reliable Wikipedia is for true information. Obviously now I understand that false information is very hard to come across at this awsome site so thankyou very much. P.S you have to admit it was pretty funny. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.51.162.131 (talk • contribs) Gippsland phantom catSorry. I wasn't aware of the policy, and should have checked. At the time I made the redirect I thought I was the only author of the original, but now I remember that others had contributed also (I was lazy, and I should have checked the history). There was also discussion on the Australian Noticeboard about moving the article to a more appropriately named one. But besides that, I was ignorant of the policy, so thanks for pointing it out and fixing the holes I left. --Cnwb 21:03, 6 November 2005 (UTC) Ben Aveling and Monivae College...Dear Mr. Davis, I created a page about a local school named Monivae College and Ben Aveling described it as 'seriously not noteable'. Thanks Scott I appreciate the information you have given me. It is my, as well as many others oppinon that it is indeed notable. It is one of the most well known schools in country Victoria. I believe that Mr. Ben Aveling is only saying it is a 'NN' as a personal attack on me for my past mistakes. Well you know what, Peter denied Jesus, which was a big mistake but Jesus forgave him. You guys have been awsome in offering me a second chance at Wikipedia which I am really grateful for but Ben Aveling is being a ignoramus about the issue and personally attacking my valid and legitimate article. I was only trying to expand Wikipedia...What is your view on the issue? (preceding unsigned comment by 203.51.162.131 (talk • contribs) )
Once again thankyou for your advice. I shall create the greatest article you have seen in your life tomorrow. I appreciate you taking me serious now. I do admit that I got off on the wrong foot, but I am hoping that as you said, by showing my seriousness I will soon reverse the popular belief of me being a trouble maker. With Kind Regards, Matthew. P.S can you check out the changes I made to the Hamilton page and make sure they are alright? Thanks.
Wonderful, thanks Scotty! I hope we are back on the path towards friendship! Kind Regards... SorellHi Scott - no, the anon wasn't me - in fact it was that edit that prompted me to check and see that it was false, and then remove it from the Sorell, Tasmania article. I think Sorell Bakery can be safely AFD'ed. I hadn't done it yet because I was still considering speedy deleting it! -- Chuq 11:53, 7 November 2005 (UTC) Help to fix page moveHi Scott. User:Rogerthat has done a copy and paste move from Lewis Roberts-Thompson to the correct spelling Lewis Roberts-Thomson, losing the page history. Would like a 'mentor' to assist. Can you give me an email address to which I can email you things I think need to be done so you can tell me where to find out how to do them or so you can do them. Examples: - Phalanx_CIWS and CIWS articls probably need to be combined. - I would say the page "Australian constitutional crisis of 1975" should have an 'in dispute' label. Anon assistanceThanks Scott for your help with User:211.30.231.153. My knowledge of IP addresses is limited, but I didn't realise that someone in the same town would have the same IP as me, if this is the case, and someone else is abusing the system, does this harm my ability to be a part of Wikipedia? I've signed up for a username now, so does that solve the problem? Forgive my ignorance, I've been around the web for quite a while, but I'm new to Wikipedia.. When I found it, Dryandra was a redirect to the unrelated genus Vernicia. That was unacceptable to me.
