Advice

Hi. I'd like to make you aware of a few more points that might help avoid frustration on your part and on the part of other editors.

  • Your change at Leon Guwara was pretty huge. This made the changes hard to review and made it hard to revert the bad changes while holding on to the good ones. In my experience, keeping changes smaller makes collaboration with other editors much easier.
  • Footballer infoboxes count regular league appearances only – no appearances in domestic or international cups and no play-off matches.
  • Beware of WP:OVERLINKing. It says to not link "names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar" so we shouldn't link "Germany", "Netherlands", "German", "Dutch" etc.

Hi SapCal9719, thanks for your hard work in editing wikipedia. Could you please follow the wikifootball MOS when doing so though? Pre-season friendlies are not counted towards stats for goal scorers or attendance records so they do not need to be included in an infobox. Thanks. Jong Utrecht players who are also on the senior squad

I don't think the removals are appropriate. Jong Utrecht is a team playing in the Eerste Divisie. This is their squad as listed on the official site of the Eerste Divisie: https://keukenkampioendivisie.nl/teams/jong-fc-utrecht/

All the players you removed are listed as players of Jong Utrecht there. If the league the team is competing in thinks the players are members of that team, they are members of that team, otherwise what is "the current squad" is supposed to even represent. There is no limitation saying that a player has to be listed only for one squad, especially when the second squad is competing separately in a separate professional league, like in this case. What is the harm exactly in listing them in two places?

I think the removals are appropriate. That is indeed correct. I know about that official site.
It is indeed true that those players played for Jong FC Utrecht. What you mentioned here is all correct and I have no problem with that. But the page Jong FC Utrecht is about the selection in general. The players you added have played matches for the 2021-22 season. For this you have the page 2021–22 Jong FC Utrecht season. If you look here you will see that I have added the players there to the selection.

Sorry, my thought was that it was possible so, because before I added the amounts and link that the came from the transfermarkt it was also so mention and not deleted, my apologies. Can it be mentioned if I add a link that points to the news item on the FC Utrecht site regarding the transfer (in Dutch)? In addition, the transfers from Jong FC Utrecht to FC Utrecht (or from FC Utrecht to Jong FC Utrecht, FC Utrecht 018 to Jong FC Utrecht) are internal transfers, so no link needs to be added, right or not? Yes that's fine. I have no issue with the content being there, so long as it's supported by reliable sources. For Jong Utrecht, you do still need to add sources. Ivar Jenner's nationality

He is Indonesian according to what it says above the season squad, "Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality." First of all, sorry for the late answer. Jenner plays for the youth selection of Indonesia. He can still plays for The Netherlands. So he's nationality is The Netherlands. Removing small tags in infobox

Hi, you reverted two edits I made here and here earlier this month. The reason for my edits was to comply with MOS:SMALLFONT, which states that the font size of any text in an article should not be below 85% of the page's default font size. In the case of 2024–25 FC Utrecht season and 2024–25 Jong FC Utrecht season the inclusion of <small>...</small> tags in {{Infobox football club season}} reduces the font size to 75% of the page's default, which is too small. —Bruce1eetalk 17:42, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The small text in the infobox is too small and reduces accessibility (see MOS:SMALLFONT). Remember that the text size in infoboxes has already been reduced, so reducing it again makes it way too small. The infobox text size is not "normal", it's 88% of the default page text size (see the note in MOS:SMALLFONT). Using <small>...</small> tags in the infobox further reduces the text size to 75% of the default, which is below the 85% limit specified in MOS:SMALLFONT. Ok.. I find it much more confusing now in the infobox if I'm honest. The emphasis for the statistics should be on the numbers. What I put behind it in small is an addition to the numbers. Not reducing the text size in the infobox is the norm, rather than the exception. If you look at the example in the infobox documentation, you'll see that fields like "highest attendance" don't reduce the size of the text. I understand that there are rules, but what I don't really understand is why this is suddenly such an issue... I've never heard or had any complaints about this before. And those examples of yours... that was sooooo long ago (2002–03 and 1985–86). Can nothing should be adjusted after such a long time?... because again, it looks much nicer and slicker to make that mini piece smaller. Check 2024–25 AFC Ajax season, 2023–24 AFC Ajax season and 2022–23 AFC Ajax season because it is also done there also... (and also other seasons ago).
