Please don't use icons on AfD. They add unecessary load time to the page, and can mess up the spacing for a large number of users. --Hetar05:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
I've seen it before on other Wikimedia projects, why not here? -TrackerTV 15:31, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Glad to have you aboard! Feel welcome to dive right in. It is too darn hot to do anything outside anyways. Kukini00:13, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Userpage
Thanks, TrackerTV, but how would you want me to improve your userpage? I think it looks great already. :) Regards, Sango12301:27, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.
Hi! i noticed you commented back in july that you had several sprites for use on poke ball. provided that these weren't the ones recently deleted due to lack of sources, or the ones that have been deleted/moved from photobucket, it would be really great if you could help out and add them, i've already made lots of changes to the tables but they still need some fleshing out. anything you could add would be appreciated, THNX -Zappernapper
your articles submitted for AfD
i think next time, if you come across the kind of stuff just go ahead and redirect it, or ask on the PCP talk page for suggestions. submitting things like that to AfD just makes things take longer. feel free to speedy delete one line articles if the search is VERY obscure (like "Fire Island (Pokémon)") or redirect likely phrases to where they need to go (pokemon berries now redirects to list of Pokémon items, someone had come along and given it its own page even though "Pokémon berries" redirected correctly). -Zappernapper09:32, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I logged out to post this so It wouldn't go into my contributions. It shouldn't be hard to figure out who I am. Could you please nominate the Silver Town article for merger with Mt. Silver. The guy who created the article has worked closely with me in the past and I don't want to offend him by doing it myself. He has checked my contributions in the past, and he has checked what links to my page. 71.223.40.16701:17, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Please do not edit mine or any one else's comments in the AfD discussions which are not personal attacks. Doing is a gross breach of civility. --TheFarix (Talk) 21:24, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't recall any practice of removing redlinks in comments, especally during the AfD process. Your edits were completly out of line, and I take great personal offence to them. --TheFarix (Talk) 21:29, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
PP redirects
thanx for changing those, I'm going to add the other references I mentioned in this discussion to Power Point let me know if you can think of any others. btw, i moved the discussion to the proper talk page cause it was getting off-topic at PCP, and i made a note of it after your comment at the WP:DIS talk page.
I think it's all taken care of now, click around the sites and fix what i forgot, i updated all the pages that used to link to "PowerPoint" and "power point" so they won't go to the dab page. I think all that still may be needed is a "... for other uses see Power Point." -Zappernapper18:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
No, you don't understand, I didn't ask you why you put the tag. I just reminded you that you have to explain why you put the tag. You have to do that on the talk page of the article. If you just put the tag, then nobody knows why you put it, ad what needs to be fixed. --Dijxtra18:16, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
split of salticid species list
hi,
actually, there is already a thread regarding this issue. The problem with splitting the pages is that a lot of links won't work any more (like the diversity link here). I would say we restore the whole list, until a better solution is found, like splitting into subfamilies. cheers --Sarefo11:02, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I just noticed that you also split the Linyphiidae page. Please, before going on like this, let us clear up if this is really a good idea. thanks --Sarefo12:12, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!

Yes, I'll get some people from the WikiProject to help out. For the future, though, it may be good to remember that removing all the tags is part of closing the AfD. If it looks like too much work for one person, then you may want to proactively seek help instead of waiting for someone to realize it has not happened. An AfD is not properly closed until all the tags have been removed from the article(s) and their Talk pages given a notice. Johntex\talk20:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for participating in my RfA, which finished with a tally of 52/6/1 (~90%). It was an interesting process which gave me a chance to learn a bit about myself and about the community. My intention now is to slowly ease into using those additional buttons on my page. No use being over eager and mucking up the works. The support of all those who went over my record and/or rallied to my defense after the big oppose vote was instumental to the success of this review. Again, thank you! --StuffOfInterest11:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
RfB With A Smile :)
WRT SMYAL, if it's a "partial copyright" problem, just remove the text that was copied and try and condense the rest so there aren't major gaps in it. In the case of that articel, I wasn't sure there was enough notability to it, so I just whacked it with {{db-group}}. 68.39.174.23810:36, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
