I think that would be a good thing. Safiel is an industrious editor, and the project would benefit from their being an admin. My only concern is the degree to which the adminship process itself has become negative. bd2412 T 15:54, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

@BD2412 and Ritchie333: I agree with you regarding participation in discussions. For about the last year and a half, I have been concentrating very much on cleanup of judge's articles, so haven't done much outside of that. After I complete this current group of judge's articles from Gerald Ford, which should take just a few more days, I will start to step back into various AfD and other discussions. List of Circuit Judges Article

Hello, a user recently created the List of current judges of the United States courts of appeals article and has been populating it and linking it to various federal courts pages. It's my impression that this page is immensely redundant, as Template:United States courts of appeals judges and the individual pages for the United States court of appeals already exist. Comment @Safiel:@JocularJellyfish: PLEASE READ - FROM THE ORGINAL CREATOR. I created this list because I was searching in vain for a list of all the appeals court judges in one location. The list exists nowhere on the internet (after a pretty thorough search). I was interested in a list because of the recent supreme court hoopla and many nominees come from the appeals courts. It's just convenient to have them in one place. It gives you a solid overview of the system visually. It allows you to quickly compare the courts. The data on the nominating president is critical because it gives you an idea of the ideological balance of the court and the appeals court as a whole. All that said, its become of a bit of a passion project and my introduction to being an editor on wikipedia. I've spent many hours on it even though the core data comes from the existing appeals courts pages. Updating it isnt bad at all. Once a month I go to the pages and bring the data to my main list. I'll add that the page is already seeing hundreds of views daily - some people are interested. I cannot see a good reason to delete the page. I appreciate your concern and for taking the time to adress some issues and for the past work you've done on wikipedia. But I'd really like to keep this page going. At the least maybe we can assess six months from now? Thoughts?

@JocularJellyfish: At the moment, I would just wait and see. I have gone through all judge articles from Obama back through JFK and I have processed about 2310 judge articles, which now read appointer. I would just keep periodically changing any nominators you see to appointers and hopefully people will finally get the point. I would wait before starting another discussion. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get the participation level in a discussion needed to formally decide the issue. If there continues to be a problem, then another discussion will be needed, but hopefully people will get the point. Safiel (talk) 16:40, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

@Naraht: My main reason for removing it initially was that it was mentioned only in the infobox, with no mention in the body and no reference. Coolcaesar my edit was proper and made in good faith, based on a reliable source. I committed no fault in making the edit. Also, not every user is familiar with the organic acts of every damn college in the land. If the reliable source, in this case FJC Bio, says A.B., then that is what I go with. Reliable sources can be wrong in some cases. That is the fault of the source, not me.
