Thanks for the welcome, maveric. It's nice to know you're not alone. I hope you don't mind me trying to contact you (or others) when the new things to learn here gets overwhelming. Hmm ... Your [m:maveric149|here] link seems not to work.
I'm slowly going through the welcome page and those linked to it. And will move this to User Talk namespace later. --sabre23t

Thanks for the nice edit to the Coca Cola page (phosporic acid section) - I moved your exact phrasing into the Pepsi article. I have been having problems with User:chocolateboyrepeatedly deleting this section in its entirety, regardless of phrasing. Your assistantce in maintaining this paragraph will be appreciated - perhaps he will back off when he sees that someone else has worked on this section. Leonard G. 04:27, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Nope, I live more to the south, although right now I'm spending most of my time to the north... and you might also known me as gn0sis from E2! Jpatokal 07:10, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Ah, neighbours across the Selat Tebrau. If you stop over in your journey from south to north, drop me a line for a teh tarik or something. ;-) If you read my last few writings on E2, you'd see I haven't been active there for quite a while, more active on ODP. -- sabre23t 07:45, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Haven't seen you on #odp in a while. Ambi 09:32, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Can only do 2 out of 3 things; odp, wikipedia or #odp. And I've been doing a bit of wiki'ing the last few weeks. Mmm, isn't there a nice forum for wikipedians, other than the village pump? sabre23t 09:51, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I noticed you've been active in editing Malaysian political articles recently, and was wondering if you could help balance out Anwar Ibrahim. I've placed the NPOV-dispute notice there as a result of several glaring omissions from the article about the government's point of view, Anwar's critics' point of view, and just about anyone's view except those who support Anwar. I've tried to NPOV it, but my edits are hampered by a lack of in-depth knowledge on Anwar and the claims of his critics. For more on the claims, you can see Talk:Anwar Ibrahim. Johnleemk | Talk 10:09, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Okay I had a peep at that Anwar Ibrahim, didn't see anything too glaring I'd like to add or tone down. Anyway, more on its talk page. --- sabre23t 13:17, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Question on Tan Sri Vincent Tan
Sabre, if you know about ancestors about the respected Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, please write it in my discussion page: User:Chan Han Xiang. Thank You.
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
Image copyright problem with Image:Anwar_Ibrahim_and_child_20040326.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Anwar_Ibrahim_and_child_20040326.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Image source problem with Image:SMS0418 Mahathir c.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:SMS0418 Mahathir c.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:15, 27 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 17Drew02:15, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Digger-level2.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Digger-level2.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thanks for uploading File:Digger-mainscreen.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Anwar Ibrahim and child 20040326.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Anwar Ibrahim and child 20040326.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
File source problem with File:MalaysiaPulauPinang.png
Thank you for uploading File:MalaysiaPulauPinang.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
