User talk:SGBailey/2010
Hey thereI saw that you did alt text for another user at the severe weather project, so I was wondering if you could fix the alt text for 2007 Groundhog Day tornado outbreak. This was left on the talk page about it. Richard (talk) 19:25, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Nomination for deletion of Monthly events, 2005Hello, I have nominated Monthly events, 2005 and Monthly events, 2006 for deletion, the debate is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Monthly events, 2005. For your information, Cenarium (talk) 00:48, 27 February 2010 (UTC) k-section of an angleHi, thanks for pointing out the nice link with the mechanical method for angle trisection. It suggests the following variation, that can be generalized for k-secting an angle. Suppose in the figure AB, BC, CD are k=3 segments of a carpenter's ruler, with A and B fixed, and D sliding on the orizontal line till A C D are collinear. Then, as shown in the link, the angle in D is 1/3 the angle in B. This generalizes using a carpenter's ruler with k equal segments, call them A0A1, A1A2,...,Ak-1Ak. Keep A:=A0 and B:=A1 fixed as before, and make the Ai with odd index i >1 slide on the orizontal line till they reach a position such that all the Ai with even index i are on the same straight line that meets the horizontal line on the point Ak. Then the angle in Ak is 1/k the angle in A1. --pma 00:01, 3 March 2010 (UTC) Western Sahara on the World Cup mapWestern Sahara is the same gray as the other countries. It's probably just because its surrounded by the orange color that makes it look darker. But actually, Western Sahara isn't recognized by FIFA and isn't in a conference, though its sort of in the N.F.-Board. So for example, it'd be wrong to put it in orange like the rest of Africa since it'd have to be a FIFA member first.-- Patrick {oѺ∞} 01:23, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi. It may well be that you disdain wp:userboxes but, in case that's not so, I thought I'd add this FYI: ---> Trafford09 (talk) 10:34, 14 June 2010 (UTC) You are now a ReviewerHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here. If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
