Welcome to my talk page. Please leave a message below and I will typically reply on your talk page. Please be aware that although my email address is enabled, it is not an address I check often (so I may be slow in replying to email). Thanks and happy editing! Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:48, 15 November 2007 (UTC) Re:Black Hawk questionsWell, I think we are going to go with what we have so far with the Black Hawk War articles. Meaning, your map you can set up what we currently have...for now. I am hoping to talk with Ivo soon and see what he wanted to do. He will be back, just needs to get away from the idiots that are on here (and there are A LOT). I am also taking a sort of small break for now, but I am keeping up with the new Illinois articles and whatnot.--Kranar drogin 23:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC) Presque Isle State ParkI've looked and looked for more specifics about the birds of the park and cannot find any specifics as requested. I have excluded the mention of the endangered species for now, but personally favor keeping it. I also added more to the history and habitat, don't know what else to do. Perhaps others can expand it. I guess I am done with it for now. Dincher 00:18, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
I was chasing all kinds of geese I have never heard of and forgotten what they were. Lots of different sandpipers too. Wild Goose Chase!! Ha-ha-ha-ha!!! The map looks good. Cheers.Dincher (talk) 04:22, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Locator mapsI'll need a bit of free time to gather the information you requested. Unfortunately, I'm a bit stretched thin at the moment. Let me get back to you in a day or two. Sorry for the delay! Kaldari (talk) 22:47, 16 November 2007 (UTC) A QuestionHello, I was wondering if you would be able to make a county map for me. It would be for Frederick County, Virginia and mostly just for the town of Stephens City, Virginia (of course it could be used throughout the county) as it is the town I am working on. I would like to use it for a Geography section on the town and have noticed the awesome one you did for Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. If this is possible, please let me know. I will be glad to pay if necessary. Thanks and Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 08:04, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Are you still watching this situation? It came to my attention during the FAR of stuttering. We tried to improve the article during FAR, but the needs were too great, and the article was defeatured, although Slp1 (talk · contribs) continues to chip away at it. Now that the FAR has closed, one old user, and several new IPs, have re-appeared to revert stuttering to the pre-FAR version. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:38, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Hey thereHey Ruhr, just dropping in to say hello, saw your message on Kranar's page about the war, if you check what I wrote on his page you will see that I am not yet ready to return and may, in fact, never be. Though your continued contributions to those important articles are still appreciated by me, and undoubtedly, countless throngs who are eager to soak information like sponges. Regardless, I wanted to wish you (a now late) Happy Thanksgiving. IvoShandor (talk) 12:46, 23 November 2007 (UTC) Supergirl (Kara Zor-El)i believe the deadline is up soon and I am no where near getting the article up to code, however I wanted to thank you for reviewing it. I plan on getting it to GA and FA someday, at least this gives me a clear indication of what needs to be done. Thankyou for your time. Bookkeeperoftheoccult (talk) 05:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC) Market Street BridgeI have expanded the Market Street Bridge article. Do you see a DYK? Also could you check the marketstreetbridge.net link. It won't work for me here at work. Is that link okay for an External Link? It doesn't seem to be commercial or a blog to me, but I am not how this all works on wiki. I am sure I can dig up some pictures of bridge number six. Dincher (talk) 15:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Your inputWhat would you do to Battle of Bad Axe if you were going to take it straight to FA? (If you have the time to input of course.) IvoShandor (talk) 01:24, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Elk Knob State ParkI created Elk Knob State Park one of NC's newest state parks tonight and nominated it for DYK. Could you give it a look and look at the hook too, please? I am sure that there are too many or not enough commas and some misspelled words. Thanks for the PA geology link I added to my sandbox. Latest Simpsons wiki reference, Sideshow Bob cursed it for being some sort of behemoth, I don't remember the exact wording. Dincher (talk) 02:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Spiffier triple crown, new awards availableHi, I've been sprucing up the triple crown awards. Here's the new version of the imperial triple crown jewels you've already earned. Feel free to replace your old one with this if you like the new version better. I've also introduced two new triple crown awards for editors who've done a lot of triple crown work: the Napoleonic and Alexander the Great edition awards. If you're active in a WikiProject, check out the new offer for custom WikiProject triple crowns. I'll make those upon request if five or more editors qualify. See User:Durova/Triple crown winner's circle for more information. Thanks for your hard work, and cheers! DurovaCharge! 22:19, 28 November 2007 (UTC) President of the U nited States in Congress AssembledFine, keep your errors in history, I give-up. God forbid Wiki readers readers are educated that Hancock was not only President of the Continental Congress but President of the United States under its 1st US Constitution. As for Independence Hall, do you know why the government of the United States abandoned it as the seat of government? Do you have a clue? I bet you don't. I dare not add that to your precious fluff page on the Hall. For you, however, in 1783 the military mutinied and surrounded Independence Hall holding Elias Boudinot (President of the United States) hostage along with the entire government of the United States. The President called out the Pennsylvania militia to free them but they backed the mutineers and refused to show. It was future President of the United States, Artur St. Clair, who came to the rescue and finally freed them in negotiations. They vacated Independence Hall and resumed the seat of government in Nassau Hall Princeton never to return again. Now how does one tell this story or the FACT that 10 Presidents of the United States existed before George Washington without citing a source? There are so many errors in Wiki on the founding period it is ridiculous. So I start with the small stuff like acknowledging John Hancock for holding two Presidencies and cite a source to wake people up who may actually browse their precious Hancock county or Independence Hall that he held the two offices. You call it vandalism. I call it righting history and giving a great man his due as a founder of a nation that borne your right to censor readers of a county named after him that hHancock was once President of the United States in Congress Assembled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Damslerset (talk • contribs) 08:23, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

ApologiesPlease see Talk:Space opera in Scientology scripture. I just wanted to apologize for not getting the article up to GA status and implementing your very good suggestions, but I underestimated the amount of work the article needs at the present time. I will most likely get to it at some point, but right now I'm focused on some other things that are closer and easier for me to get to WP:FA status. I just wanted to thank you for the good GA review you gave, and to let you know that your suggestions will of course remain on the talk page and are valued and will be used in the future. Sorry to disappoint. Yours, Cirt 02:14, 2 December 2007 (UTC).
Singletary LakeMy mind is kind of numb now, so I am seeking advice, again, on a hool. Singletary Lake State Park and Singletary Lake are both up and running. I think that the pics are great. I am more excited about them, but could you cook up a hook or two, if you have the time. If not I will ponder them tomorrow. Take it easy. Good night and Good luck. St Kilda mapThe Gaelic issue is difficult. The truth is that the original map-makers just invented English spellings for the same sounds e.g Stac Lee = Stac Liath. Ordnance Survey are now relenting and in some cases going back to the originals. However 'Stac Lee' is how the object is spelled in English sources and as you suggest, having everything in Gaelic is going to cover the map. I'd say the map is fine as it is, although adding (Hiort) would do no harm. I've just seen your comment at Peer review. There's probably room for Gleann Mòr (it's south east of the wide bay on the north-west of Hirta). If your enthusiasm stretches that far you could produce a Gaelic version (Hiort, Stac Liath, Stac an Àrmainn, Stac Leibhinis are the variants, Soay and Boreray being in the original). CitationsIt's not the wikilink that's the citation, it's the book itself--or the game, or the video: That's the source where the claim can be verified. While it's obviously preferable to have full citations with publication info, it's not at all obvious to me that it's preferable to have a "citation needed" tag indicating where such an expanded citation should go when the actual verifiable source is obvious. More generally, I think the tendency to add a tag indicating where work needs to be done as opposed to actually doing the work is a very problematic one for Wikipedia. There's no article that couldn't be improved, yet it's not clear to me how pointing that out benefits the reader--or the editor; anyone who's actually going to be able to clean up an article doesn't need to be told it needs clean up. I do appreciate your adding at least some of the improved citations rather than just putting the tags back. The irony here is that the removal of the tags was more effective in actually provoking improvement of the article than the placement of the tags in the first place. FYI, admins cannot see whether an article is watched or not. Black MoshannonI have added what I can add to Black Moshannon State Park. You had mentioned having notes on it from Cupper's? book. I am not in a hurry to get it to GA review and will wait until or if you can get pics of it. I will also look on flickr for more. I really don't want to do what I did a Pettigrew State Park and add pics of animals and plants that are found at the park but not actually pics of plants and animals at the park. Know what I mean? Hope all is well. Working until midnight again. Oh yeah, I've been running the peer review on lots of articles, just to kill time. It usually takes away 600 to 1000 of something, exactly what I am not sure of. Is this good, bad or indifferent? Dincher (talk) 02:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Image copyrightsI'm working on one of the PA articles languishing in my userspace, and I'd like to scan and add an image to it. The photograph in question was taken "around 1900" and printed on a postcard, presumably about that time. I don't have an original postcard, but I have a reproduction of the image in a book published 2002. As I understand it, simple reproduction doesn't affect copyright, so I could scan the image, duly credited, and upload it as PD-US. Does that seem correct to you? I don't have much experience with image copyrights, and I don't want to do the reproducers an injustice by uploading it. Choess (talk) 22:19, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

And thanks for your suggestions I have made the changes and have requested for copyediting :D
Seems I wrote too early, they have improved the net connection and I am able to edit the article finally from here :)
I don't either, the reference site just says premiered ->date and time (probably refering to a promotional screening?? or a private screening(highly improbable)). and broadcasted on -> network, date, time, day(public airing on TV). But I have changed the order of the sentence and the timings to 12-hours system as you suggested.
I too felt the table to be a bad addition (but couldn't think of anything else). If I do what you suggest the character section will contain only two characters with a one line summary of each :(
I have been using one, named Excel Saga Binarymoron (talk) 11:51, 13 January 2008 (UTC) Ahh...yes, that should do it!! You have been really helpful thank you, Binarymoron (talk) 16:17, 14 January 2008 (UTC) I was wondering if a stub-list could be created where I could transfer the table and in the main article write a paragraph or two about the important characters?? Binarymoron (talk) 16:30, 14 January 2008 (UTC) How would you rate this list as?? Binarymoron (talk) 17:35, 14 January 2008 (UTC) Thanks for rating the list. I transferred the list to a new page(as you have seen) and have written a summary of the main characters in the original article. How is it now? Is this article capable of passing a GA? Binarymoron (talk) 17:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC) Small noteI really don't like creating stubby articles just to fill out redlinks. I used to do this because people asked me to, but I have found that none of those articles has yet been expanded since I created them. I have concluded from this very unscientific trial that stubs discourage editors from creating thorough articles more than redlinks. I personally would also rather create a decent "start" article. Just so you know I won't be creating an article on Breda. :) Awadewit | talk 18:40, 10 January 2008 (UTC) The maps look good. I like the idea for the future regarding county maps. Now I'm not sure I want to stop. I found an even better map, :Image:ShackletonEnduranceCarte.png, in the Commons this evening that shows all the comings and goings of Endurance and Aurora. It's in French, and converting it to English would give me an excuse to learn some rudimentary map-making skills.
