Nope

Please do not keep trying to push fancruft into what become Wiki-correct articles, as you did with Rhino. It will be reverted everytime. Asgardian (talk) 05:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further to this, you reinserted badly written material with poor grammar; POV: missing appearances; no sources and an in-universe perspective. Style is currently being discussed here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Comics#Stand_up_and_take_notice.21 but no one will defend material that is sub-standard. Please do not do this again. [[Rhino (comics)|Rhino) is just one of many articles that are to be upgraded. By all means contribute, but please ensure that said contributions are beneficial.

wikilinking in headings

Hi, I noticed that in a recent edit, you added a wikilink to a section heading. The Manual of Style strongly discourages links in headings. Consider using Template:main instead. -- Intractable (talk) 22:23, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

If you want to include bio info on this character, you can't copy it from another website such as this one. If you want to include that information, you will need to rewrite the text in your own words. BOZ (talk) 22:50, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. :) Since you have been involved in editing the article Spider-Man, I wanted to let you know that we have nominated the article for "Good Article" status. You can view the review page, and if there is anything you can do to make the article better, please do so. :) There are a number of concerns to be addressed and some work to be done, so pitch in if you are able, make any suggestions that you think might be helpful, or at least just be there for moral support. :) BOZ (talk) 00:50, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Geddon, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wikibin.org/articles/geddon.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Stop

Stop creating Geddon and other articles which are copyright violations. The article you recreated was previously deleted under a discussion. This is your last warning.— dαlus Contribs 23:26, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was deleted under a deletion discussion, and it is a copyright violation. If you want to contest the deletion, ask for a WP:DRV. But do not recreate it, if you do, I'm pretty sure you'll be blocked from editing for continously recreating material that was deleted per a discussion. You infact were alerted of the AfD, and given a chance to participate, but you didn't, and that's your fault.— dαlus Contribs 23:31, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See this deletion discussion. The article was fairly deleted, stop re-creating it. Wikipedia is -not- the place to put non-notable character groups for a show you like. You want to make your own wikia, fine. Stop recreating the article here.— dαlus Contribs 23:38, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, you can't, because not only is that not included in the Ref, that's speculation. It hasn't been proven with an actual release. I'm privy to some changes before they're due, but we can't include those until they're published and verified. ---D--- (talk) 13:12, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Christopher Corey Smith

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Christopher Corey Smith, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ENTERTAINER. No refs to show otherwise

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. About AQW edits...

Hi, I noticed you re-added the monster information to the AQWorlds#Plot section. I've removed it- please don't add it again. It's not very important information and only clutters up the summary. Readers don't care about minute details like that, so they shouldn't be added. Read WP:GAMECRUFT if you haven't already... it talks a lot about things that shouldn't be in Wikipedia articles, such as exact quest and monster information. Thanks. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 18:00, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I understand why you want to add it, but I still don't think it's very important- to someone who has never played the game, are the monsters' names important? Not really. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 14:16, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but saying something like "then the players fight the minion Slugfit. Later they fight him again." is kind of game-guide-ish. Exact quest information should not be put into articles, and that is, sort of. In a plot summary, remember that we're not talking about it from a playing-the-game perspective, we're looking at it from a plot perspective. So instead of going "The players must fight three separate bosses Slug, Tick, and Flea. Then Cara sends them to find three gems. When the player gives them to Cara, she unlocks the tower so the player can rescue the princess by fighting past several foxes and wolves.", a more appropriate plot summary would be something like "After defeating Slug, Tick, and Flea and finding the three gems, the player and Cara unlock the tower. The player then rescues the princess from the foxes and wolves." See, it has the same information, but it's more concise and doesn't go into specifics. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 14:31, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I made a post on the article's Talk Page that I created to mediate the dispute. In my last post, I went through each of the passages of the article that are the points of conflict between TheBalance and DavidA's edits, and gave my two cents on them, trying to be fair and impartial. I've asked Balance and David to chime in on how they feel about my statements, and I ask that you and others do the same as part of a consensus discussion. Please be explicit with as many of the individual points as your time allows. Thanks again. Nightscream (talk) 00:03, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the source?

What is your source for the ROTF video game voice actors? Mathewignash (talk) 22:38, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Cast" sections in vide games.

Didn't want to step on your toes, but per WP:GAMECRUFT, item #10 cast sections should not be in video game articles:

From that section:
Cast Lists: Generally speaking, a list of the actors providing voices for video game characters is not appropriate. Exceptions to the rule would be games where the voice cast is particularly notable, such as actors reprising their roles in a video game translation of a movie, as in the case of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In this case the character cast follows the general standard for listing a movie cast, with minor adaptations for the game's article. However, if characters are listed in a table, cast should not be listed separately. If actors/actresses must be added to the article, typically they should be done in the article prose, and generally in the development section.

Not scolding you or anything, just letting you know. I mentioned any notable cast for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in the Development section already. --Teancum (talk) 12:43, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Characters sections

Characters should always be a sup-point of plot per the Wikipedia Video Game Guidelines. Please keep it that way. --Teancum (talk) 01:47, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Advent stuff

All of the Advent Deck stuff on the Ryuki character pages were horribly formatted and in no way encyclopedic. No one needs to know how much AP specific cards have or any of that other stuff. Instead of putting those ugly ass tables back on the articles, write up in prose their attacks and specific cards they have used.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:45, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of Digimon cast members

The article List of Digimon cast members has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Redundant to character lists on various Digimon series/season/film articles. There's also precedent for the deletion of such cast/voice actor lists.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

If you click on your user page you'll see a new link called "My Sandbox". It's useful for making big edits that will take awhile, like the plot for Arkham Asylum. You can write the plot out here, copy edit it, then drop it into the article later, keeping the article nice and clean. Just thought you'd like to use it. --Teancum (talk) 18:58, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Batman Arkham game.

Please stop adding the plot information about each character that appears in their articles. The plot of the game goes in the game's article. Anything relevant to the way the production of the game reflects the character and the character's portrayal on would be relevant to the character articles. Thank you. I repeat. Stop adding game trivia to every character article. The appearance of all these characters' bios is covered in the game article, and is nothing but trivia in the characters' articles. ThuranX (talk) 23:37, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No Robot Chicken.

We don't include Robot Chicken parodies. This is a part of the reason we dropped the 'In Popular Culture' sections, too many trivial parodies. You've been editing for a long time now, and i'm sure you know all this already, so please stop with it. Also, you don't need to put a paragraph in for every appearance in a comic, especially for stories in progress which can be summarized to a line per issue, if that, while the story is running, then reformatted to a line or a paragraph at the end if needed. Red Hulk

It was well meant, but we don't include blow by blow issue narratives. We try for a well written, sourced presentation of the gist of the material, balancing it against the context of an entire encyclopedia standard article. On a similar note, a mention of a character's appearance in a video game is fine, but the fact that X has special dialogue with Y is unfortunately irrelevant. I hope that helps. Regards. Asgardian (talk) 02:12, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. Thanks, but nothing is really under my "jurisdiction". I just try and maintain the overall standard. It really comes down to what is notable without it being seen as trivia. Again, we are trying to look at the whole picture, as opposed to a fan site which may thrive on the small details. As to the Red Hulk; the character's origin after the reveal can be nailed in two concise sentences. Regards Asgardian (talk) 04:14, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

STOP CHANGING HEADINGS

Incorrectly changing headings are NOT constructive edits:
I already pointed out to you that you incorrectly changed the heading In other media to Other media in Silver Fox and in Prowler (comics). You just did it again earlier today for Robbie Baldwin. (You have also changed it in Doctor Octopus, Karma (comics), Weasel (comics), Shadow King, and Abner Jenkins.) What you are doing is incorrect and could be considered vandalism if you continue to make these changes. Take a look at WikiProject Comics. Thank you. Spidey104 (talk)

For Darkstar (comics) you incorrectly changed the heading Other versions to Alternate versions. WikiProject Comics shows that that is also incorrect.

When you created the new article Reptil, ALL of the headings were correct. Look at WikiProject Comics as this is a simple concept that you seem unable to grasp. Spidey104 (talk)

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Mister Hyde (comics). There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you. I've mentioned this already, but the manual of style (MOS:HEAD) discourages links in headings for aesthetic and accessibility reasons. Template:See also and Template:Main are great alternatives. Only first word in heading should be capitalized

I saw your recent edits ([2], [3], [4]) and I wanted to thank you for using the correct heading. However, I wanted to point out a Wikipedia formatting problem. Unless it is a title or name or something with specific capitalization the headings should not be capitalized other than the first word. Just a note for future edits. --Spidey104contribs 16:28, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Spider-Man

Eddie Brock is already in the other topics, Mac Gargan is already linked on Scorpion, and Angelino Fortunato is too minor. We don't need to tell who Venom's hosts is that's what Template:Symbiote Family and Hosts is for. Beetle's OK at least in my opinon. If you feel differently you are free to talk about it on template talk page. On other note though I do appreciate your contributions especially on List of Spider-Man enemies in other media if you know anything about that particular subject please do so because it's not complete and needs villain portrayals on video games and other media type portrayals.
