Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to List of My Hero Academia characters, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. ——SN54129 19:56, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copying licensed material requires attribution

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Wonderland (fictional country) you included material from a Wikia page that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Excessive Details

According to Wikipedia's Manual of Style, "Episode summaries must be expressed in your own words. Do NOT submit content you find from another web site as it is plagiarism and likely a copyright violation, which Wikipedia cannot accept and will be removed or reverted. Superficially modifying copyrighted content or closely paraphrasing it, even if the source is cited, still constitutes a copyright violation. Summaries should be about 100 to 200 words in length, per MOS:TVPLOT, and those substantially less than 100 words are most likely to be scrutinized for possible copyright violation." Specifically, I would like you to focus on the 100 to 200 summary section as well as the section about avoiding minutiae. I removed your addition to Harley Quinn season 1, episode 8 because it violated these guidelines. It was far beyond the 200 word limit, you worded the information as a play-by-play of what happened in the episode, you used biased wording to emphasize Borgman simply based on the fact that he is considered a main character, and it was far from a summation of Psycho and Borgman's b-plot. There were also grammatical and spelling errors, but more to the point, I am growing concerned about how you edit sources. Wikipedia is an encyclopedic source, not a play-by-play of your favorite media. Yes, I understand that everyone can edit Wikipedia, but I am trying my best to help Wikipedia maintain a level of professionalism. I also understand the importance of Borgman's backstory, but those details should go in his character page, where you can elaborate on what happened in more detail while also upholding the Wikipedia: Manual of Style's guidelines on character information. I apologize if I came off as sounding harsh; I am simply doing my best to uphold Wikipedia's guidelines. Blazewing16 (talk) 00:54, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey it seems like the most notable example of Red Tornado (the android) already has its own article. I think you just need to create Red Tornado (identity) like Batwoman (identity). That would be my solution. That and we need an Human Torch one too for the Marvel Comics side. Also the face of Jimmy Wales is intentional on my user page. I hope it didn't interfere with the discussion. Jhenderson 777 16:25, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DC Comics "hosts"

My next plan was to get separate articles for the hosts on DC. Originally I was to page move Cain and Abel (comics) all in one. But let’s face it: Cain, Abel, Eve and Lucien wouldn’t sound right. So I am thinking maybe a split of Cain (comics), Abel (comics), Eve (comics) and Lucien (comics) would work. Or even better; add their associated pets within the title. Can you maybe help with that? Hi there. Thank you for your helpful edits. I just wanted – with the greatest respect – to be sure, looking at this one, that you were aware that in BrE we don't usually put the dot in after Dr. or Mrs. any more. I am not sure when we stopped – when I was at school about a million years ago I think we put punctuation everywhere, but it seems to have died off a bit in those contexts. And I am sorry about my snarky edit summary there, which I blame on insufficient coffee this morning! Cheers DBaK (talk) 10:00, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
