At the moment when you create a new article it goes into the queue for reviewers like me to check. After we mark it as patrolled it gets released for indexing in search engines. If you’re autopatrolled then your articles bypass the queue and are immediately available for indexing. That’s the only difference it makes - your articles get seen widely more quickly, and patrollers have one fewer article creator whose work they have to check. Autopatrolled grantedHi Roundtheworld, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! –xenotalk 05:27, 30 May 2021 (UTC) Badge and barnstar for You!
Women in Europe contest now with centenariansHi there, Roundtheworld, and thanks for participating in the contest. You might be interested in covering one or more of the centenarians in Peaceray's detailed redlist. We have decided to target them for the remainder of the contest as all but one are from Europe. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:10, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

Trobriand"He joined the French Navy and became a midshipman in 1780, initially serving under Bougainville and taking part in the American War of Independence." If this passage is not true, then why didn't you remove it along with the Category?--Catlemur (talk) 19:00, 22 August 2021 (UTC) September 2021 at Women in Red
