There are heaps of different areas you can work on, for which you claim points, and at the end of the month all sorts of whiz-bang awards will be handed out. Every player wins a prize! There is even a bit of friendly competition built in for those that like that sort of thing. Sign up now at Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/September 2019 Backlog Banzai to take part. Request for unprotectionI came across Draft:James_Grime, and was going to pass it for AfC, but I see that James Grime is salted, and you were the salting admin. It had been deleted by discussion in 2014. The reason for deletion at the time was lack of notability, but with the caveat that the subject might very well become notable, and to perhaps try to recreate the article at some later date. Since then, the subject seems to have made a name for themselves, and most of the sources on the draft are after 2014. However, since I can't see what the deleted versions look like, so I can't tell whether or not the draft version is substantially different from the previous versions. If you could take a look at the draft and see if its ready for unsalting, I'd appreciate it. If you do unsalt, please drop a note on my talk or ping me so I can review it for AfC. Smooth sailing, Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 20:06, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Indianapolis Colts staffA tag has been placed on Category:Indianapolis Colts staff requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. How we will see unregistered usersHi! You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki. When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed. Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help. If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter. We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January. Thank you. /Johan (WMF) 18:13, 4 January 2022 (UTC) The Bugle: Issue CLXXVIII, January 2022

Ann BevanI am not an editor and don't have time to become one, but since you last edited the Ann Bevan page, I thought I'd point out that it really should contain at least one photo of her before her illness. There are several available online. She was quite a beautiful woman. This lends important -- and poignant -- context to her story. I (Hog Farm) didn't proofread the message well enough and left out a link to the election page itself in this message. The voting will occur here; sorry about the need for a second message and the inadvertent omission from the prior one. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter messageHello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. Twitter files rollbackOn the Twiiter files page, you used rollback to remove a recent edit (which clarified content verified in the cited NY Times source and many other more recent sources) without any edit summary. Such a use of Rollback violates our procedures, which state that such a rollback is to be used only for removing vandalism. Please undo your revert and/or explain yourself on the article talk page. Thanks. SPECIFICO talk 14:08, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
