I don't see any justification, or citation offered for that matter, for changing it to Jewitchery. The terms are hardly synonymous, and the editor's statement that Jewitchery is more common is both unsupported and irrelevant IMO; it's like saying an article on Judeo-Christianity should just be called Christianity, since Jews are the minority. I guess the same goes for the term African-American; just change it to American, since most Americans aren't of African descent. Rosencomet (talk) 18:51, 4 August 2008 (UTC) Bigfoot is fiction? The "silly title" of Taoiseach is one of a number of everyday Irish language words used in the country even by the English language media, in general conversation, etc. Other examples might include Tánaiste (in effect a deputy Taoiseach), Garda Síochána (a term used to describe the country's police force) or Áras an Uachtaráin (the President's residence, which is exactly what it is). These terms do not necessarily have their own popular English language versions and so generally are translatable as practically the same. Taoiseach could roughly speaking be translated as "Chieftain" or "Leader" and is a term which was used in ancient Ireland to describe the ruler of an individual clan. It has survived to the present day to be made use of politically as it is now – to describe the leader of Ireland's head of government. Now I might just borrow that fancy media mention contraption of yours, having found some of my contributions being termed "fake" by Fox News yesterday... --candle•wicke 20:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC) An article you !voted on in an AfD is up for deletion a second timePlease see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BVE Trainsim (2nd nomination) Ikip (talk) 00:57, 3 May 2009 (UTC) Pope Benedict XVI GAR noticePope Benedict XVI has been nominated for a good article reassessment. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited James Monroe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Monroe Township, New Jersey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
