Second infobox in Internet Explorer article?

Hi.

I wanted to talk to you about Internet Explorer article. I don't understand why you added a second infobox. You see, whatever is in that second infobox was in the first infobox too, except the external links, which also can be added. (But I felt they belonged to External links section; although we can talk about it.) So, did you have anything specific in mind, or was it because you though every article about a Windows component should have that infobox? If the latter is true, don't worry, my friend. I assure you, the first thing that you can safely throw out of the window in Wikipedia are arbitrary rules with no purpose.

And on a side note, your URL was not okay. It had an unnecessary "http://www.". Please see MOS:COMPUTING about that.

Hello,
I've added a second infobox, because it contains necessary informations. It's not just a browser, it's a integral component of MS Windows and I think section 'Related components' and 'A component of Microsoft Windows' header are important, but it's just my opinion. Info about logo history isn't real, so I've removed it. Of course, no every article about Windows should have this infobox, but IE is very important for Windows as a its component. Related components can be added to the first infobox. (Still, check WP:SEEALSO about them.) The text "A component of Microsoft Windows" can also be added to the first infobox but it is wrong because this article covers all versions, including those that were components of Mac OS, and Linux versions which were not "components" at all. Troublesome edits in File name space

Hello, Rezonansowy

I am writing in reference to widespread problem several of your edits in File namespace. ([1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8]) Please do not do any of these:

  • Deleting image description page in part or whole: It does not matter how wrong do you think they are; don't delete! You can fix, if you wish.
  • Marking PNG files with {{NowCommons}} when a SVG format is available on Commons. This tag applies on to replicas.
  • Abusing "minor" flag: "Minor" flag is only for negligible edits.

In fact, I don't even know why you bothered doing all this; simply by uploading the SVG version to Commons, the PNG version on Wikipedia would have been automatically deleted.

Hi. One minor correction: I should have said: Simply by uploading the SVG version to Commons and using the SVG in an article, the PNG version on Wikipedia would have been automatically deleted.

Did you start this? I think it is repugnant. The Template:Start date and age shows the time ago in a dynamic form. First it shows the days ago, then the months and then the years. The Template:Start date and years ago can only show how many years something happened ago. You've moved all working links to Tor (anonymity network)#Hidden services, but hidden services websites are not related to Tor itself, it's just a software. Lilypond

When you made this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=LilyPond&oldid=562834741 , changing the name of GNU Lilypond also changed the infobox and got rid of the templates showing the latest stable and development releases. Edit warring in Microsoft Word

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.

  1. This was the objection of User:Codename Lisa, not User:Jasper Deng.
  2. Please read carefully. The "border" option adds a one-pixel border, which can be useful when it is important to distinguish image from background.
  3. You hardly exaggerating with calling me uncivil edit warrior. Except that you bite, you insult me. Same like User:Dogmaticeclectic, calling him a pig.
  4. Besides this - Does your userpage doesn't tell you're a retired user? And you tell me on your talkpage that if you post a message here, I guarantee neither reading it nor taking action on it. Are you kidding? You cannot do it!
  5. If you're looking for someone who makes something like an edit war, go to Wikipedia article and see User:TakuyaMurata's edit summary.

Actually, I knew about that sentence. And it is not as important in this case to make the image stand out from the background, in comparison to the importance of not misrepresenting the image. With a border, the image would look a non-maximized app. But I'd never edit war over a border...

Hi Lisa, your Notification gadget should work properly and inform you about this revert. I always try to be OK with all users. If I did something wrong then please, tell me and explain it. I hope I'm not a bad guy now. Towards our image, I think the border is necessary here. Borders are in thumbs as well. IMO, it is important to distinguish image from background in this case, like in the rule. I saw similar case in many other articles, that's why I did this edit. But maybe I'm wrong (man learns throughout life) - so we can talk about it, of course if you want. Hi. I received both notifications at the same time. If you want to be a treated like a good guy, there is one golden rule: Comment on the contents only, never on contributors. In other words, out of the five entries in your list, only one should be there; the one you explained about the reason behind your edit.
