Svenska WikipediaThe Swedish verson of WP has this: Pesach (hebr. What this says, essentially, is that the Jewish festival of Pesach is celebrated on one day, the 15th of Nisan. It is basically wrong, as the Jewilsh Passover is, for Jews resident in Israel. a seven day festival as well as for Reform Jews living in the diaspora, and an eight day festival for orthodox Jews resident in the diaspora. Elsewhere in the Swedish article is another error: it says that the festival is observed from sunset to sunset, but, in fact, the observance is the same as any sabbath which is from sunset to nightfall - calculated as when, good visibility prevailing, three stars are visible in the sky. These times are calculated astronomically and published in Jewish calendars on the internet and elsewhere. The Swedish article is misleading because whereas the Christian festival of Easter (Påsk) is a one day festival, the Jewish festival is seven or eight days. Similarly, Christian festivals are celebrated from sunseet to sunset whereas Jewish observance of sabbaths and festivals ends at nightfall. Consult the articles in the English WP for the correct information.
