Locke

I think you/your vandalbot was a bit overzealous in editing the John Locke page. The Hooker reference was not vandalism, unless I am mistaken and there is a legitimate philosophical reason why Hooker should be removed. --Beaker342 18:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

La Chienne

I've reverted La Chienne back to the redirect to the English title of the film, Isn't Life a Bitch?, as foreign films direct to their English-language titles, not to their original-language titles. This is the English-language version of Wikipedia, after all. Benzamin 16:34, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please behave and contribute to the article in a civil way. There ii nothing wrong with critisism, but your edits were not constructive Rettetast 16:05, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is abuse or insults, unwarranted doctoring or blanking.

I'm not the one that was hitting Alakazam9891's userpage but this IP address is a public server. Blocking it from editing won't accomplish much.

Also, it should be noted that Alakazam9891 usually uses this IP address, along with about 20 other people so a block would hurt everybody. 70.62.46.218 18:21, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Sex toy. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. JDtalk 22:50, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Subst.

Thank you very much for showing me that--I had no idea. Perhaps it would be helpful to at least have a note of the "subst" idea on the template pages, for those like myself who are new.C.lettinga 02:00, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

David Ruben RfA

Rettetast/Archive 1, thank you for your support in my RfA which passed on 13th December 2006 with a tally of 49/10/5. I am delighted by the result and a little daunted by the scope of the additional tools; I shall be cautious in my use of them. I am well aware that becoming an Admin is not just about a successful nomination, but a continuing process of gaining further experience; for this I shall welcome your feedback. Again, many thanks for supporting my RfA, feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. :-) David Ruben 01:28, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lollipop Nonsense?

I did NOT add nonsense to Lollipop, thank you very much. I was adding "sucker" to the beginning because that is what they are called in various regions of the U.S. Don't tell me that that is vandalism because IT'S NOT!

Questions re RCP

Hi. Thanks again for the earlier help with RCP templates. I would like to ask you a couple of questions...

  • At WP:RCP it says not to report vandalism to Admins unless the vandalism has occured "soon" after a final warning. How long do you consider "soon"?
  • If the vandalism is no longer "soon" do I start over with "test1"?
  • What are your criteria for issuing a "blatantvandal" warning?

Thanks! Tanaats 20:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answered as best as i could on Tanaats talk page. Rettetast

My Request for Adminship

Thanks for contributing to my RfA! Thank you for your support in my my RfA, which passed with a tally of 117/0/1. I hope that my conduct as an admin lives up to the somewhat flattering confidence the community has shown in me. Please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page should you need anything or want to discuss something with me. Like was mentioned on my RfA I was a "user" then and still am a mere user now, just one with extra capabilities. Remember admin status does not give seniority :)--Nilfanion (talk) 16:19, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Wikipedia in any way I can. Cheers! OTP Bank image & more

Hello,

Thanks for your kind and welcoming words, and thanks for cleaning up the page as well. I uploaded the image in good faith, and to be honest, I just couldn't decide on what licence to use for it. I believe it would be useful to include the image, or one similar in the article, but I don't know how. If you have an idea, I'd be very obliged to hear from you. Also, I'm a new wikipedian, and I'm currently using two separate IDs for the two wikipedias i'm editing, ie. Hungarian and English, but I'd like to merge these, if possible, or indeed, extend its use to some other wikipedias, like german, dutch and spanish. Is it possible to use a single ID to edit all wikipedias?

Thanks for your help and should you need urgent translation of anything from the above languages, do contact me. Regards, George Adam Horváth 14:54, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subst: and recent vandalisms

Yeah, I knew that put two {{test4}} tags on the user's talk page, but I had to make sure AIV had sufficient evidence to block that IP user. I'm glad that I could help out reverting that crap vandalism on your user page, apparently the administrators don't want to give a longer block, like three months or something similar. --Specter01010 17:57, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
