New Merrimack Co. mapsHi - nice job on the new maps of towns and CDPs in Merrimack County. I found a few with errors, which I was hoping you could redo. First, the Franklin, New Hampshire map had Concord rather than Franklin highlighted in red. The remaining problems all had to do with CDPs that cross town boundaries. The Suncook, New Hampshire CDP is in both Pembroke and Allenstown: the CDP map showed it only in Pembroke, the Pembroke map didn't shade the Suncook part of Pembroke, and the Allenstown map shaded the Pembroke part of Suncook. The Tilton Northfield CDP map is correct, but the town of Northfield map only shaded the part of the town outside the CDP. I hope all of that is not too confusing. (I use the Census Bureau's TIGERweb to get the definitive view on boundaries.) Thanks again for updating the maps! --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:24, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
Clark County, Nevada mapMaybe I'm blind, but I don't see a place listed for numbers 8 and 25. I think 8 is the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation, but I'm not sure about 25. I did not check to see if all of the other number are listed in the text. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:32, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

I closed that discussion as redirect because it appeared to have unanimous support to redirect. You objected to the template existing because it only had a single transclusion, but you never responded to any comments about redirecting to the already existing template. I also assumed that you would keep a discussion you started on your watch list, and that thus your silence implied consent. If this is correct, we can let all's well that ends well, but, if it is not, please feel free to contest my closure and continue the debate. moluɐɯ 13:13, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

:PHey, don't take all my roads to make KMLs for! :P You also missed half of Highway 7 and included a part that was removed in 1997. Thanks for making them either way though, but don't take Hwy 6 cause I'm halfway done that one (as I was with Highway 7). - Floydian τ ¢ 16:58, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Ping...Hi mate, you'll get a ping from me for a post at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Requests for closure. I've asked that Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gary Tedman be closed for a number of reasons. You (quite appropriately) re-listed it and I would ordinarily just ask you to close it but you have the same tool belt as me. Nothing for you to do really, just FYI. For example, the county maps in Delaware and Kentucky don't have county subdivision lines, but Wisconsin and New York still shows them. MuppetHammer26II (talk) 06:21, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 August newsletterThe final of the 2014 WikiCup begins in a few short minutes! Our eight finalists are listed below, along with their placement in Round 4:
We say goodbye to this year's semi-finalists. Matty.007 (submissions), ThaddeusB (submissions), WikiRedactor (submissions), Figureskatingfan (submissions), Yellow Evan (submissions), Prism (submissions) and Cloudz679 (submissions) have all performed well to reach this stage of the competition, and we hope they will all be joining us again next year. There are two upcoming competitions unrelated to the WikiCup which may be of interest to those who receive this newsletter. The Stub Contest will run through September, and revolves around expanding stub articles, especially high-importance or old stubs. In addition, a proposal has been made for a new competition, the GA Cup, which the organisers plan to run next year. This competition is based on the WikiCup and aims to reduce the good article review backlog. There is now a thread for brainstorming on how next year's WikiCup competition should work. Please come along and share your thoughts- What works? What doesn't work? What needs changing? Signups for next year's competition will be open soon; we will be in touch. If, at this stage of the competition, you are keen to help the with the WikiCup, please do what you can to participate in review processes. Our finalists will find things much easier if the backlogs at good article candidates, featured article candidates, featured picture candidates and the rest are kept at a minimum. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Misleading map captionsJust to pick one of your recent edits, for Pitman, New Jersey, the map caption you have added is misleading, if not incorrect. The previous caption before your edit said that the map showed "Pitman highlighted in Gloucester County. Inset map: Gloucester County highlighted in the State of New Jersey", which is what the map shows; Pitman within Gloucester in the main map on the left and Gloucester within New Jersey in the inset on the right. Your caption reads "Location within Gloucester County and the state of New Jersey." For the main map on the left that would be correct, but the map on the right is not the location of Pitman in New Jersey, it's the location of Gloucester County in New Jersey. Nor is it clear to the reader which map is which. Can I please ask you to correct this error in the dozens of articles that you have changed to avoid any needless confusion and can I ask you to leave the captions unchanged in any future edits unless there is some prior discussion of the issue and consensus for a change. Alansohn (talk) 13:40, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Your mapsHi again Rcsprinter, Could you tell me what data you use for maps, specifically for this file? It's part of an article being reviewed for FA class, and the reviewers want each image to be well documented, and graphics to list the source of their data. On a side note, as a general rule, it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to put where you found the data in the description boxes of any future maps you make. Thanks.--ɱ (talk) 10:49, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
FCHi, Rc. FC looks good. Will Adam be completing it? Wikiproject report: what are your plans for this? Could be this week, next week? Tony (talk) 03:46, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
RelistingBefore relisting an article for a third time, please read this carefully. You should not relist an article for a third time if the consensus is clear and should only be done if both the sides (delete/keep !voters) have good arguments refering to potential policies and guidelines. Your experience with Adopt-a-userHello Rcsprinter123, I am working on a project to support the development of current and future newcomer mentorship programs on Wikipedia. Because you recently participated in Adopt-a-user, I would like to interview you about your experience in this program. If you are interested, please email me at gmugar [at] syr.edu and hopefully we can find a convenient time to conduct an interview via Skype or Google hangout. I compacted the repeating bit and added a bit more detail to bulk things up, and tweaked images to try and keep the image at the bottom from being shoved down too much. Montana secondary highway KMLsIf you're willing, it'd be great if there were one massive KML for all of the Montana secondary highways. I've been slowly working on the list (read: haven't touched it in 6 months) and eventually, I'd like them to all redirect to that list. There is a comprehensive list here, though the MDT website seems to be down (as of 15:00 UTC). –Fredddie™ 15:07, 6 September 2014 (UTC) This week's article for improvement (week 37, 2014)

WikiProject Report for the SignpostHi there! I was just wondering if you could have a report on WikiProject Good articles/GA Cup for the Signpost. We are launching the GA Cup on October 1 and having a report that focuses on questions regarding the backlog and the purpose of the GA Cup would help a lot in terms of spreading the word!
