It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping! If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. I know most of what and editor needs to know, but there is still some stuff I'd like to learn. I am active every day (all day) EXCEPT weekends. Please let me know if you are interested in another adoptee, on my talk page. I spend a lot of time on the Simple English Wikipedia too, this is where I have created 30 articles, and made over 2,300 edits. Thank you for your time.-PendingTell me I screwed up! 18:47, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Q-goHi. You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Q-go (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) last year. I since found some sources and have now reinstated the article (rather than taking it to DRV). You may wish to comment at Wikipedia talk:Deletion review#Template:Olddelccc. Cheers. -- Trevj (talk · contribs) 15:52, 30 January 2014 (UTC) WikiCup 2014 January newsletterThe 2014 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with, at time of writing, 138 participants. The is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2010. If you are yet to join the competition, don't worry- the judges have agreed to keep the signups open for a few more days. By a wide margin, our current leader is newcomer Godot13 (submissions), whose set of 14 featured pictures, the first FPs of the competition, was worth 490 points. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:
Featured articles, featured lists, featured topics and featured portals are yet to play a part in the competition. The judges have removed a number of submissions which were deemed ineligible. Typically, we aim to see work on a project, followed by a nomination, followed by promotion, this year. We apologise for any disappointment caused by our strict enforcement this year; we're aiming to keep the competition as fair as possible. Wikipedians interested in friendly competition may be interested to take part in The Core Contest; unlike the WikiCup, The Core Contest is not about audited content, but, like the WikiCup, it is about article improvement; specifically, The Core Contest is about contribution to some of Wikipedia's most important article. Of course, any work done for The Core Contest, if it leads to a DYK, GA or FA, can earn WikiCup points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Could it be inserted into the queue earlier than prep 2 or 3, or is it reserved for a particular time? --Orlady (talk) 19:36, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Coat of arms of GroningenI was really surprised to see that you've rejected my DYK nomination for Coat of arms of Groningen (province). I only became aware of the issue of the single source an hour ago, after waiting several days without a response to the nomination. I have immediately added two additional sources to the article, which seemed to be the only issue with the DYK nom. Can you perhaps reconsider your rejection? – Editør (talk) 23:33, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
DYK Claims for WikiCupHi there, I've just reverted the addition of claims for two DYKs on your WikiCup points page - significant work on the article would be expected by a user who was claiming the points. With each of those two articles there was not enough work to warrant the points being awarded. Miyagawa (talk) 19:17, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
