Articles for creation/Dentaa

Dear Rcsprinter123,

Thanks for looking over the Dentaa article. I have made some additional edits which I feel brings the article within Wiki's guidelines and would be most grateful if you could please review the page again.

If it still falls short then it would be useful if a more detailed explanation could be given as to why this is, as the subject is noteworthy, the points are all backed by references and each reference is from a legitimate third-party source.

Many thanks,

AnnieRemell (talk) 17:23, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

I've looked through your changes and as it all looks fine now, accepted the submission. Rcsprinter (shout) @ 20:03, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

That's great. Thanks for doing that.

AnnieRemell (talk) 08:03, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

uhm

yeah, you're right with that edit, but please, (for your own sake), don't do that edit, many editors don't want to see that kind of edits... do like in IRC style: *since for is better and understandable for most... mabdul 22:14, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Reverted PROD on Chris Cottrell

Hi sprinter,

I was the reviewer that promoted Chris Cottrell to full article. I followed WP:BIO and established his notability per the independent reliable sources provided by ASU, the Phoenix New Times, and the Arizona Secretary of State. You need to add his involvement in the Chris Law and his presidency of the Arizona College Republicans to establish his notability.

Per WP:PROD I reverted your nomination as I contest it. If you still believe the article must be deleted I suggest you follow the normal WP:AFD process.

Ahnoneemoos (talk) 23:14, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Sure, if you think it meets the guidelines. Rcsprinter (message) @ 23:27, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Jonathan Galway-Jackson the Nouvelles frontman and Belfast peace activist

Hi Im trying to do a article on my favourite bands singer. The references are from a N Ireland national newspaper full page and recent and also the massive Manchester Evening News and a full page there also. There are other articles on him, these satisfy the golden rule the most. Please explain as to why you are turning this guidance led article down? Thanks, Wikigeek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikigeek2011 (talkcontribs) 22:19, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

I do not think the man is notable, as a singer of a band which does not have its own article, and an Irish protester - simply does not meet the notability requirements. If you are adamant it should pass, request a new review by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page. Rcsprinter (tell me stuff) @ 17:08, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the rejection of my Article

Dear Rcsprinter123,

My article was rejected by you recently and can I know what do you mean by "Citations need to be inline"? It would be kind of you to clarify this, as I am new to wiki.

[[User:Krish.ganz|Krish.ganz]] (talk) 09:52, 14 January 2013 (UTC)krish.ganz

The citations given, the references, need putting throughout the content rather than at the end, so that you can see exactly what each one is backing up. You can see how to do it at Wikipedia:Inline citation. Rcsprinter (constabulary) @ 17:00, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
Errrm RCSprinter -you know that's not a valid reason to reject? In fact it's specifically listed as the first reason not to reject on Step 4 of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Reviewing_instructions. Not saying it shouldn't be a rejection, but that's not a valid reason for it. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 12:26, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Fujiwara no Michimasa article

Hello Rcsprinter123,

Thank you very much for reviewing my article. After reading the comments above in which there was some confusion as to whether you declined a submission based on inline citations/notability I would like to point out that the subject of my article meets multiple notability criteria. If I have not sufficiently demonstrated that in my article, could you please let me know which criteria has not been clearly stated in the article?

  1. The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors. (has been cited in publications for nearly 1000 years, at least 400 in English alone, many times as many in Japanese).
  2. The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique. (his poem included in the hyakunin isshu has been imitated for the last nearly 1000 years)
  3. The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews. (as is the nature of 100 poets, 1 poem each, he could not have a more major role than one poem, but being included cemented his fame for the rest of time.)
  4. The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums. Pictorial versions of the 100 poets, 1 poem each collection are legion. The most prolific period was between 1600-1860. Every gallery and museum of note in Japan, and most of the western world has at least one pictorial verson of the 100 poets, frequently museums devote an entire exhibition to the 100 poets, 1 poem each collection alone.

I received some feedback from the livechat that encouraged me to resubmit. However, I seem to have a problem with the resubmit button. How do I resubmit the article?

Thank you. miyabeajisai — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miyabeajisai (talkcontribs) 09:17, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

You can submit it for review again by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of your application. Rcsprinter (speak) @ 17:16, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Submission on Community Professional Loudspeakers

First of all, thank you for taking the time to review my submission. Could you please clarify the reasons for declining it? I significantly improved the referencing from the previous submission, adding more secondary sources that all demonstrated the subject's notability. Your rejection also wanted "clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia." However, I detailed how the company revolutionized its industry and influenced the works of some of the greatest musicians in rock and roll history. I'm not sure what else to do - could you please help? SFall34 (talk) 03:54, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Quick question Rc

Regarding citations... How do I organize citations used in say a paragraph when some of them are pertinent to the entire paragraph and one is only pertinent to one particular line? Do the ones that are relevent to the entire paragraph go at the very end and the specific one go after the specific line it's referencing? Thank you, —  dain- talk   15:27, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

adoption???

hello, im new to wiki. any chance you could help me out with my editing? i could really use it. Thanks. NHCLS (talk) 09:30, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi NHCLS, I'd love to adopt you but unfortunately must decline your request because I'm simply too busy for another adoptee right now; I'm barely making time for my current ones. I recommend you look through the list of adopters and choose someone else, if that's ok. Thanks for your understanding. Rcsprinter (rap) @ 17:10, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
