Razimantv, thanks for your help cleaning up Wikipedia. I noticed that you proposed the deletion of This-Is-One-Tree-hill. For pages created like that, that are completely nonsense, I would recommend using the Wikipedia:CSD method of deletion, that way it can be deleted without debate. Pages such as that one are clearly not legitimate pages, and thus don't need to go through the normal process of deletion. Keep up the great work. Inks.LWC (talk) 07:19, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion Tags

When somebody deletes the speedy deletion tag, there's a set of user warnings that you can use. The list is available here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Uw-speedy1. If they continue to do it, upgrade from a level 1 to a level 2, and so on. If they continue to do it, you can request that that user be blocked.

Also, here are some helpful links for you. This one is a list of all the speedy deletion tags and guidelines on when they should and shouldn't be used: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:CSD.

And here is a list of all of the Warnings and Notices that you can put on somebody's talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Template_messages/User_talk_namespace. It contains stuff for if somebody deletes a speedy deletion tag, if they continue creating nonsense articles, etc. Inks.LWC (talk) 07:28, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Attack pages

Hi. When you come across a page like Gareth and jared just now, although it certainly qualifies for {{db-g3}} as vandalism, there is a better tag: {{db-g10}} or {{db-atk}}, used for "Pages that disparage or threaten their subject or some other entity, and serve no other purpose.." - see WP:CSD#G10. That gets higher-priority admin attention, and also produces a suitably stern warning for you to add to the author's talk page. You should blank the whole text of the article before adding {{db-atk}} so it's no longer visible - it's still there in the history for the admin to check. Keep up the good work on New Page Patrol! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:08, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. Could you please explain which part of Astrochology and the other creation by that user strikes you as a hoax? It seems MADEUP and a NEO to me. Thanks - Kingpin13 (talk) 10:17, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I've converted them both to PRODs. Hoax normally applies to something that the creator just madeup and is trying to pass as real, but with definitions, new words (or "neologisms"), don't come under CSD. Although there are a number of reasons they should not be included in Wikipedia, such as WP:NEO and WP:MADEUP. You may want to take another read through the CSD page, especially the Non-criteria section, which includes WP:NEO and WP:MADEUP as things not sufficient for CSD.
Anyway, keep up your tagging, don't worry about being new and making mistakes too much, just make sure you're cautious rather than bold in CSD tagging, it's a much better approach to take in this area, IMO. If you need any help with CSD, or something else, please feel free to ask me :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 10:32, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Regarding the Local Motors page, it appears to be a copy violation of the companies website, and I've marked it as such. Also, bear in mind that the creator of the page is not allowed to remove the speedy deletion tag (as they did in this case), but should instead use {{hangon}}. Naturally it's not good to be really serious about this; if the CSD is obviously incorrect/bad-faith then it's fine for the creator to remove it. - Kingpin13 (talk) 10:41, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Keeleri Kunhikannan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 21:03, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Vivek Rajkumar

Hello Razimantv, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Vivek Rajkumar - a page you tagged - because: Article asserts that he has won a WPT event, which is a credible claim to significance. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. decltype (talk) 06:15, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it's an understandable mistake considering the circumstances. Still, I'm sure the user was acting in good faith. Wiki markup is complicated for a newbie, and copying an existing article is often the easiest way to create a new one. Regards, decltype (talk) 12:05, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Vyas institutes of higher education

Hello Razimantv, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Vyas institutes of higher education - a page you tagged - because: copyvio seems to have been removed. A& doesn't apply to schools. PROD or take to AfD if required. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. GedUK  15:45, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

If the copyvio has been removed, I am OK with it. Don't want to take it to Afd as of now, as I don't really understand the arithmetic of calculating notability for educational institutions -- Raziman T V (talk) 15:48, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

IMHO, if it were nominated for deletion, it probably wouldn't pass. It's got a couple pluses -it's the only image on Sharmila Tagore, it's theoretically historically significant for the person. But... the FuR and article aren't that convincing - the article only has one line about it, and doesn't talk about the image specifically. As there isn't an image for comparison, it's hard to tell if this really is significant or not. Could also be argued as a "replaceable fair use". Skier Dude (talk) 01:58, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Sir, it appears that User: Volvicsport is doing big time destruction of several wikipedia articles. How can I escalate it? --170.35.208.20 (talk) 05:03, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Hallo Razimantv, kannst du Deutsch oder kennst du die Deutsche Internetbibliothek? --Plantpiano09 (talk) 14:04, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Dear Razimantv, so, you are a deleter, determined to put people off contributing to Wikipedia, and giving the project the bad name that it is now getting. A.R. Lang was an FRS - i.e. a fellow of the Royal Society, an extremely notable person in the field of X-ray crystallography. It was my intention to work on the article and to give other people the opportunity to contribute. Are you always in the habit of nipping things in the bud? It would be a very barren world if you were in charge. Scrumpo (talk) 21:36, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Dear Razimantv, I see from your user page that you are an undergraduate physicist, which makes it all the more astounding that you would dive in and delete A.R. Lang and his collaborator A.P.W. Makepeace. The late Andrew Lang FRS was professor in the physics department at Bristol University and a pioneer of X-ray diffraction physics. He died last year and several British newspapers published his obituary. As you have seen fit to so rashly delete the stub I set up, I suggest you now reinstate it and learn a bit of physics by adding more details of this venerable academic's life and work. Scrumpo (talk) 00:25, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply, but can I really be bothered? I came back to Wikipedia after a long absence, having found back then that it was a constant struggle against fanatics and obsessives who had nothing better to do than to make life difficult for those wishing to make genuine contributions. In the meantime nothing seems to have changed. I don't have the time to waste on pointless struggles. May I suggest you stop "patrolling" and start contributing. Start with an article on A.R. Lang FRS, it may even inspire you to become a postgraduate physicist. Scrumpo (talk) 20:14, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Fundementals of islam

Muslims should go back to fundemntals of islam.is what you said-Raziamn Tv

i dont think you know that much about the fundementals of islam. since you dont seem to like violence or terrorism, am pretty sure if you knew the fundemntals of islam you wouldnt say this.--Misconceptions2 (talk) 14:36, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

I say that based on my 19 years' understanding of Islam, including 5 years of formal religious education at a Madrassa. I am terribly disappointed if that is the prejudice you have while articles about Islam. I hope that you are able to rise above any of that while editing. Btw, what I think does not matter to the encyclopedia. What I do does... -- Raziman T V (talk) 05:13, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you know better than me.And maybe you think that terrorism is forbidden in islam because of the verse in the Quran which says something like "whoever kills one person is like killing all of makind".

then let it be known that the companions of the prophet Muhammad have said that this only applies to muslims, and the comapnions also said the verse is a reference to adam and eve.when Cain killed his brother abel. killing a person at their time is like killing all of makind, since there were only 4 people on earth.

a companion of ayesha, sayid ibn jubayr said:

He who allows himself to shed the blood of a Muslim, is like he who allows shedding the blood of all people. He who forbids shedding the blood of one Muslim, is like he who forbids shedding the blood of all people.

and mujahid(student of ibn abbas) who lived almost around the time of prophet muhammad said:

He who kills a believing soul intentionally, Allah makes the Fire of Hell his abode, He will become angry with him, and curse him, and has prepared a tremendous punishment for him, equal to if he had killed all people, his punishment will still be the same

if you wanna verify, go here:

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=8BziirH6UKMC&pg=PA24&dq=qabil+and+habil#v=onepage&q=qabil%20and%20habil&f=false

scholars such as zakir naik twist the quran, in such a way that they are not lying but they are not telling the full truth either. You think zakir naik would mention the above i mentioned to you? of coruse not, since he is engaged in "interfaith dialogue"

I am really being compelled to put forth an argument. But I refuse. Our beliefs are quite founded. And at least one of us is wrong. But I don't think having an argument or even a discussion here is going to change anything. And this is not the right place for it either. Let us leave Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. We can discuss, argue, fight and flame over other forums. Keep wiki out of this. If you are a co-Wikipedian, it doesn't matter to me whether you are Muslim or non-Muslim, or whether you think that Islam exhorts believers to be terrorists or otherwise. So please stop this thread here. If you would like to discuss with me, I would be really glad to do it by email -- Raziman T V (talk) 12:36, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

its allright i dont want to dicuss with you, or fight with you. islam is also a relegion of peace. muslims say "to you your relegion, and to me is mine (quran)" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Misconceptions2 (talkcontribs) 12:41, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Rollback feature

I have seen your activity on NPP and undoing vandalism, and have given you access to the rollback feature. Please familiarize yourself with the policy listed at the link before using it. Happy editing! cheers. -SpacemanSpiff 08:17, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much. I hadn't requested for it, as getting the rollback feature is not supposed to be any momentous than installing Twinkle. Anyway, I am glad that other editors of the project are starting to show trust in me. This is a great encouragement. I will try my best to use the feature according to policy -- Raziman T V (talk) 05:18, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

The word alive

The word alive is not a CSD candidate. I'm pretty sure it would survive AFD, Please familiarize yourself with WP:BAND and be more careful in the future, CSD is only for things that make no claim to even coming close to passing WP:N. Ridernyc (talk) 09:44, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Looks like The Word Alive failed an AFD two months ago. The concern then was notability and it is now too. Overall, combined, The Word Alive and The word alive have been deleted 9 times, for different reasons. Does that change things? I could tag it with CSD G4 but I don't know how the page looked before getting deleted. You could help. Thanks for the review. I try to be careful, but tagging real hopeless pages all the time, make a bad decision once in a while. Thanks again -- Raziman T V (talk) 10:06, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
I would take it to AFD again, because they should pretty easily pass WP:BAND people are far to quick on the draw with band articles. Ridernyc (talk) 10:11, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
OK. I have just tagged it. Looks like it might JUST pass WP:BAND -- Raziman T V (talk) 10:15, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
And now that i take a closer look they have a new lead singer who has performed with 3 other notable bands. Ridernyc (talk) 10:16, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Help

please can you check the article Muhammad and assassinations, i have tried to make it neutral as possible (i beleive that all articles should be neutral regardless of views and beliefs). If there are any problems with neutrality please say so in the discussion section.

If there is any spelling errors plese change it.You will thank me for making it neutral in some sections, particullarly that last assassination.

So if you have time please help.

Your NPOV tag was removed by another user also, because you did not discuss what was not neutral. --Misconceptions2 (talk) 13:36, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Reverting Masjids to Mosques

Hi,

Thank you for your welcome note. In regards to changing the title to Masjid from Mosques, I am putting below my points in regards to the revert: 1.The page under which the name-Mosques- was reverted was an Islamic page where the awareness of Islam is being done. With this in mind- I changed the title- Mosques to Masjids as there is no word such as Mosques found in the Quran or any of the Hadith or any of the original Islamic literature. 2.In a recent fatwa issued by the Saudi government- which I have on email- alongwith various other fatwas that I can email or send them to you- certain words have been discouraged by people who respect each other's faiths-such as : Mosque instead of Masjid, Mohd. instead of the full name Muhammad, Mecca instead of Makkah. 3.Since Masjid is a term that specifically is attributed to the place of worship by Muslims and is not used for any other place- hence the rule should be to leave the term as it is and not to translate it into any other language. Eg, a Jewish place of worship is called a Synagogue and is referred to as a Synagogue- not translated or anglicized.

I have presented valid concerns regarding this change as once again I repeat and emphasize that this change was done on a page which is trying to dissipate valid and truthful information on the religion of Islam.

Regards, Sayyeda Gilani--Peerbaghdadi11 (talk) 09:04, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

I will not put forth any more points in this regard as you have mentioned a technical point whereby changing the word "Mosques" to "Masjids" would automatically delete or change links. In regards to this word- Masjid is the correct word and not Mosques. But, since Wikipedia as a whole would like to keep the word 'mosque'- hence such a change from my side would be not only microscopic but useless to say the least. But to points on which I would like to clarify are what you mentioned about fatwas and Prophets.

In Islam- we are bound by the laws of Shariah and the Shari'a laws include the fatwas or in english- rulings by the Islamic Jurispondents and they are a valid source if coming from a recognized authority- such as the Imams of Haramain Shareef or the Imam of Jamiat-ul-azhar, etc. Since they are recognized worldwide by the Muslims and non-muslims. In regards to the word Prophets- yes, the word Prophets is not used in the Holy Quran but the word Prophets is not a term solely for muslims but is a term used by all religions such as the word "saints" which in arabic is the term- Awliya and is also mentioned in the Quran. Hence, the difference.

Hence, I will not change the word again but I will personally as a sign or respect to my religion will use the term- Masjids and not Mosques in my articles.

Best regards-Sayyeda Gilani--Peerbaghdadi11 (talk) 09:52, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

Thanks for your support. I appreciate it. Regards.--Peerbaghdadi11 (talk) 11:33, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

I was patrolling newpages and saw you tagged the aforementioned page for A1 (no context) speedy deletion. While this is normally OK (and this page clearly falls under the criteria), please note the instructions on top of Special:Newpages: "articles should not be tagged for speedy deletion as having no context (CSD A1) or no content (CSD A3) moments after creation." You tagged the article within two minutes and it was deleted within six. The reason we have such instructions is to allow newcomers, who may not know that the page is live immediately or are unfamiliar with the interface, a chance to add to their article. I know waiting is frustrating, but it is important. P. S.: not having seen your name before, I looked at your contributions, and I must thank you for all the work you done this month. Cheers, Mm40 (talk) 12:41, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I see it now. I did not know about this directive. I had set my language preference to Malayalam and the message did not appear in it. I just changed the language setting to English and saw the message now. Thank you for notifying - the rule does make sense. I am sorry if I was bitey. I have been messing up quite a few times during patrolling, and thank you all for helping me out. Thanks for the encouragement as well. I was regular only on Malayalam wiki before. Hope to spend some time here too. Thanks again -- Raziman T V (talk) 12:54, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

UQuba bin muayt

The USC website does not have this website and i cant verify it with them (they dont hav the translation of some of the hadith). that is why i gave an external source. the book.

tHE SAME IS FOR THE ASSASSINATION OF "a blind mans wife". the second hadith is not on the website.

I cant verify it with that website. Maybe he never said this and the hadith is forgery. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Misconceptions2 (talkcontribs)

I have found the hadith which says this. it is Sunan Abu Dawud: 2686

but i dont think it is on that website. what shud i do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Misconceptions2 (talkcontribs)

the reason i said 2686 is because if u go back to saifur rahman mubrakpuri reference. at the botton of the page he says that it is in Sunan Abu Dawud 2686.

Also, why did u remove refereence for this and add citation for it needed

As a result of his conversion to Islam, numerous assassinations were carried out by his family, his son Muawiyah carried out some extremely high profile assassinations himself

Do you even know why muslims celeberate ashura. seriouslly Musim dont know anything about their relegion. Muayhisaa was the one who ordered he assassination of "Ali" and "Husayn". pelase fix this--Misconceptions2 (talk) 16:53, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

article length and camel scence

the reason the article length i long is because the references are so large.there are to many repeats.

also regarding camel science. i added this section back because 1.Some muslim will add something similiar liek it anyway 2.It is related to the assassination

but iwill shorten it

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Misconceptions2 (talkcontribs)

Shariah law

first i wanna say that i know a muslim will add something to defend there relegion on that camel urine section.

second the shariah law is not related to abdullah ibn unayy.

regarding shariah read this.

http://www.talkislam.com/portal/muslim_news_articles/popular_articles_by_authors/maulana_wahiduddin_khan/muhammad/14_victory_and_after.html

its to do with

Usamah ibn Zayd

and fatimah makzuhmi

and is talking about how muhammad has to cut off the hand of Fatima Makzhumi even if his companion Usama begs him not to. and he says that he wud even cut off the hand of Fatima bint Muhammad (his daughter) because i is shriah law (gods islamic law)

its not to do with Abdullah ibn Ubayy. That monotheism website copiedd that data from the talk islam section

Go to the talk page. i have made a comment. pelase tell me what u think. because i will remove that section since it is not related to Abdullah ibn Ubayy. The citation made an error.

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Misconceptions2 (talkcontribs) my final comments. i will improve this article and make it shorter and neutral.

but before u go off for a few days. i want to do a questionaiire. Basics questions:

  • (1)Do you beleive what is said in the article is true...A.When u first read it...B.When u verified it
  • (2)Did this article completely change the way u think of islam than u ever did Before?
  • (3)Finally do u think reading this article was a life changing experience? --Misconceptions2 (talk) 18:30, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

assassinations

The sources i have used call them assassinations. This is why they are called assassinations. although even if the sources call them assassinations it may not be one.

the defintion of an assassination is : killing or murder for political reasons-google definitions Thevast majority of these were ordered by Muhammad. he Personally sent people to kill certian people. these are in the sources. This is

even if they are killings they can still be called assassinations--Misconceptions2 (talk) 14:49, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Rodney Phillips

The article talk page discussion about Phillips I've been pointed to is non-conclusive, as it's basically a few editors arguing their point of view in a "yes it is / no it isn't" fashion. I would suggest that all parties cease adding or removing content sourced to Phillips to all articles until a discussion has been started at the reliable sources noticeboard and a consensus has been found as to whether his work, and that of AEG, is reliable enough to be used on Wikipedia. WT DO U SUGGEST NOW! HAVE A LOOK AT BOTH THE PAGES!!!!!Highdeeboy (talk) 17:48, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

first of all i respect all beliefs there no such thing as sunni shia i consider them both correct as well as respect ahmadi its thier beliefs fine but they already have a paragraph when they first did that paragraph back in june i was like OK! but then now theyre taking over the page and recently now they added even one more paragraph with people's opinions whats next!? iam nt gnna argue with anyone because i know they support the christian so called ahmadi views so i dont want to waste my time

i have a better idea

do u agree that they should remove thier articles and keep thier condensed belief article in the end if yes then please say so

or can i atleast make up a Mainstream Islam page and leave this page as a mix of all Islamic sects belief

if they have Jesus in Ahmaddiyya

why cant we have Jesus in Mainstream Islam and let that other article be the general mix of all sects if u dunt agree on this opinion then i hope u support the first one because arguing wont get me anywhere theyre adding and adding and i know this isnt something normal this is something supported by Wikipedia no offence —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highdeeboy (talkcontribs)

Iam sorry do u mean u dont want me to cancel my earlier comments i really didnt understand that iam sorry if i mistakenly did something wrong

anyways regarding the article iam willing to add everything because in Islam there's no such thing as sect its just a diffrent philosophy so no matter how many so called sects u suggest theyre all the same except the so called Muslims ahmadis are diffrent because if they were a different philosophy then we wouldn't have had trouble with them :) in Islam its forbidden to divine we dont have denominations we only have different philosophies which arent really that much of a big deal because concerning Jesus theyre all the same beliefs from the Holy Quran which we ALL CONSIDER THE WORD OF GOD. iam not talking about a 20th century movement funded by christian missionaries iam talking about Islam and we dont divide iam willing to do that article if u accept and like i said we all have the same belief from the one book the Quran except the so called ahmadis because theyre belief is way different and should be kept aside —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highdeeboy (talkcontribs)

ok but to make this simple why dont you just keep the final article i read it and i think its fantastic it has the belif and reason and date as well as why isnt it islamic and the link to the main page! its really good just keep that last article and thats it

simple! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highdeeboy (talkcontribs) 18:33, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

at the very end of the page where it says ahmadi views ! thats good liek i said earlier cause it says all the main point and etc! Highdeeboy (talk) 18:39, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much sir i really appreciate your understanding even thought the Qura cleary says Jesus was acsended and shall come back in a future presence word but anyways fair is fair ..

just one last thing id really like to add the birth or jesus and what went on that day and some specific details it might be only one sentence or less just to make this better please do tell me how can i do this the lawful right way

and also if u notice i think the last person that edited this page forget to combine this page with the prophets of Islam page

when u go down at the very end of the article in every ISLAMIC PROPHET u see the bar prophets in Islam Jesus is considered one but in his article Jesus in Islam there isnt a bar at the very end of the page this makes it hard for readers to visit this page so please do attach this article with the other prophets into the tab of Prophets of Islam i hope understand me just look down at the very end of the page and add a tab please thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highdeeboy (talkcontribs) 18:48, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

I Apologize

Razimantv for putting up a joke article about myself. It was for my friends and I had no intentions of bringing any type of trouble to wiki. I did not know that this was aloud even when the article is about yourself. I just wish you did not have to delete it though haha. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jboogy1 (talkcontribs) 09:57, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Explanation

Hi, this is just a courtesy note to explain that I removed the "Speedy Delete" tag from [File:Giridharilal kedia District Governer.jpg]. After reviewing the criteria, the image appeared to meet 2 of the 3 standards; the only failing point is that it hasn't been used in an article yet. Since the image has only been available on commons for a very short time, it seems entirely possible that it might yet find a home in an appropriate article about either the district, or the governor. For these reason, a Speedy Delete did not seem appropriate. Of course, if you disagree I'll be happy to discuss it with you, or you're free to nominate the image for deletion through the usual process. Respectfully, Doc Tropics 19:00, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your explanation, I had to laugh....governor of the Lions Club. My mistake, although the image's text was not exactly clear on the point. In any event, you're quite correct about the lack of notability. Feel free to replace the Speedy tag if you wish, I won't object either way. Thanks again for taking the time to explain : ) Doc Tropics 18:33, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Appreciating

Hi, I read your previous works in WP and appreciate it all. I am the creator of the page Jayen Varma (in Malayalam). I wanted to do some more creations about some great musicians in Kerala. But my initial experience was bitter when you taged the article in Malayalam and also in English. So I was eager to enquire more details of it. The record of Jayen varma is by ‘Registry of official World Records(Record Holders Republic)RHR(USA&UK).http://www.recordholdersrepublic.co.uk/recordholdersdetails.asp?id=484 . This is an official organization for record holders and record attempters (human records), by record holders (from Guinness, Alternate book of Records, Limca and many). The Indian body of RHR is IRHR. If my knowledge is true, IRHR had conducted an event even in your IIT Kanpur two years back and Jayen Varma was present to do a demo. So this is not just a paper or internet org. RHR is virtually supporting people who want create or break record. I hope you will look in to it again and make necessary correction in the article(if needed) and remove the tags in Malayamam and English.

multiple nominations

Have you considered the effect of making many nominations on the same subject at the same time? You can give the same nomination statement, but they each require an individual defense, and this can overwhelm the other contributors. It is also imho not very strategic. If you nominate one or two and the get deleted, the others go easily. If they get kept, you know not to try for more unless the case against them be stronger. DGG ( talk ) 03:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Thank you for your notice in my talk page.

Dear Razim, Im sorry I could not get in to the discussion about the article Jayen Varma. But it was discussed earlier in 2008, I remember. Actually it was done by few of us who were studying then. Im sorry, I forgot the manners to discuss it in Wikipedia, since Im loggin in after a long time. I had experienced that the people here are very decent in discussions. I noticed today that the article was gone in English, Malayalam and also in Italian. Now the article is back in Malayalam. Strange !!!. Indians can do big things in the World. Please suggest me how to give a review application to replace the article in English.TNX --Fansfans123 (talk) 10:52, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Are you an expert

If you know more about some of the articles you are nominating for deletion then it would help if you could expand on this in the deletion discussions. Most of us do not know anything about these people so have no idea whether they may be notable or not. Many editors are just assuming they are notable with very few if no sources, probably because they don't like to delete articles on potentially major religious figures. • Truth and evidences. Dear Friend, I am worried that my traslation of an article made a big damage. The admin had given me 30 dayts time to collect evidences. But he reduced it to 48 hours and deleted tha article. But I had already started my investigation for collection of evidences and information to make truth and fact meet. So I contacted many of my personnal friends who are serious Wikipedians in B'lore and elsewhere, web person of the artist, medias and also those who had contributed to the article earlier. I never wanted anyone to support me unnecessarily. The video hosted with the news report of People TV is very much valuable. Im glad to tell you that the Wikipedian friends only appreciated your work of tagging the article for evidence. So let me ask you very sincerly to look in to it to help the truth and eveidences meet. Hope this news coverage is also enough to prove his notability. Thanks --Musicindia1 (talk) 04:15, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I could use your help

Hello! Take a quick glance at the article Sreelakshmi Suresh, and ask yourself if it is worthy of inclusion (you claim to be a deletionist). It has been nominated twice for AfD but never got deleted. I was the guy who nominated it last time, and it created a good amount of ruckus. (see the discussion). Can you nominate it again for AfD? I guess the last time I nominated it, my research pissed a couple of people off. Thank you! — Fιηεmαηη [talk]

Malayalam script animation

Hi, As an admin on the Malayalam Wikipedia I wonder if you are aware who will be interested (as part of WP:GLAM or otherwise) to donate pronunciation guide/animation for Malayalam script similar to those already available at commons:Category:Animations of letters for other Indic scripts.

I guess first we should consider notifying other admins/editors of Malayalam language WMF projects. Solomon7968 10:09, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Razimantv,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
