Jsir5, there is previous consensus that a complete list of endorsements is not appropriate. This has been discussed most recently on Talk:Kim Tae-yeon. R86 25 DYKs is no mean feat

We seem to be getting a bit behind with giving out DYK medals for 25 new or expanded articles. I think a few have exceeded the 25 count but I'd like to recognise Valenciano, Random86, Brianhe, EdChem, Raymie, Crispulop, Amgisseman(BYU), The Almightey Drill and Captain Assassin!. Maybe one thing to say is that anyone can give out these awards so do have a go. Meanwhile I have the pleasure of thanking you on behalf of the DYK project, the wiki readers and me. Well done. For Mr.Mr. (EP), the picture I had of the credits page was really blurry so I couldn't read everything, but I found clear scans of the song credits pages. Notability and Deletion

Hi Random86, thank you for your work to Wikipedia. Since I saw that you wanted to do good on your page I applaud you and just want to create a healthy discussion with you. You deleted my page that I wrote about Jungkook due to him not being "notable" enough. Many new fans can disagree with this statement as after Rap Monster (who already has a Wikipedia page), he is by far the one in the group with the most notability. He has written and contributed songs to the BTS roster, was involved in a controversy with Jo Se Ho in a new variety show that is not included on the main band page, and has been delving into a lot of variety shows by himself this year and not just his band, including Celebrity Bromance, King of Masked Singer and Flower Crew. He has also sang a duet with Zion T. and sang a collaboration of "One Dream One Korea" with many notable Korean artists. BTS has been on the surge recently and Wikipedia is a great way for new fans to learn more about people who they want to know. There are ways to learn more about him online but he already has millions of fans and is honestly too popular to not have a mature, compiled, and updated list for fans to go off of. I would understand your reason for notability but the fact remains that there are articles about Kpop idols who debuted far later than BTS, whose articles have not been deleted. For example, Kang Mina from IOI has her own Wikipedia page, but Jungkook is arguably far more notable and has done more than her (I do not mean to offend in anyway). I was just wondering what else Jungkook needs to have done to deserve his own Wikipedia page. I speak of this on behalf of the fans, but if there's any way to revive this page and make Wikipedia better for everyone, then please tell us.

Since the last AfD was five months ago, I'll reverse the redirect and give you a chance to improve the page more. If you want the page to stay up, you have to show that he is notable apart from BTS, with reliable sources (so no Soompi, Allkpop, etc.). Just remember that Wikipedia is not a fansite. Alright, thank you. Although I agree with you that Allkpop is unreliable, I do think that Soompi has some credit(?). It might be hard to find sources other than those because a lot of articles about him are in Korean and therefore Soompi would translate those because they have a staff of Korean translators. Hahahey568 Sorry for the delayed response. The Korean articles themselves are most likely reliable, unless it's an unreliable source like Pann or Instiz. Soompi is currently considered unreliable, so I don't recommend using it. Have you looked at WP:KO/RS? There are more English-language sources listed there. I left the Soompi articles up there but I also supplemented it with an original Korean article also, if that's okay. I do speak some Korean so I will be able to take quotes from these Korean original websites but that might not be enough as a reference to other people so I will try my best to also find a equivalent translation of it also. iKON Article Corrections

Good evening,

I created a Wiki account to update the iKON article in regards to a name correction, monthly and weekly download totals from GAON, and their 1st Japan tour from January to March 2016 but I noticed in their page history all related edits tend to be reverted.

I'm inquiring as to why since it seem very strange that easily verifiable information like their name, downloads, and tours aren't allowed to remain corrected. --Hipployta (talk) 09:32, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

I read the talk and that still does not make sense. Just because two English sites incorrectly identify them as iKon that seems odd to validate it as their name. I can use several other sites to show other than from their official sources (don't understand why official sources aren't enough to the MOS/TM). Every article on Naver shows them displayed as 아이콘(iKON). A search shows all recent Billboard articles use iKON. I am a little fuzzy on the "Move Review" process. It looks like you are the Closer but then there are comments. If you are the Closer do I need to create a new section to talk to you about it or is here fine. Do I just hyperlink more of these sources? I also checked sock puppet. I have only been on Marvel sub wikis before this. As far as I know this is my only Wiki main account and this is the same username I use on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TV Tropes, Wordpress, Blogger, Livejournal, MySpace and almost every other social page online. You can google with this spelling (not Hippolyta which is the original spelling of the Amazon Queen's name) and even images of me are online. Do you think I'm a fake account because I live in Korea so my IP address is weird? Hipployta, I did not close the move (Jenks24 was the closer). I linked the page on sock puppetry because iKon-related pages have a history of sock/meat puppetry and three brand new accounts (including yours) starting editing at around the same time, all trying to change the name back to iKON. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. Question

Hi Random86! I need your help in something, on List of awards and nominations received by Big Bang, there are Melon Popularity Awards it's an awards giving weekly by MelOn based on the charts and public voting, but it's not listed on the total awards by the group, I've check the guidelines on Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Article guidelines, and it's not an award from fan-based entertainment sites or neither unreliable site. So I don't know why the 19 awards are not listed on the total awards of the group? The awards is giving to the winning artist/groups and there are news about it here, here, here & here. I've went on discussion with one of the users who kept deleting it because the awards are not "notable and important". But I don't see it that way, since it's giving by a well known site, with trophy, and based on chart & voting. Do you think it should be counted with the full list of awards or not? Thank you. @NaSaChaeTzu: The Twice discography article has Oricon sales, not Billboard Japan. If you want the page to have Billboard Japan sales, that's a big change so there would need to be a discussion on the article talk page first. Me nitpicking about list styles.

Hi Random86, I noticed you reverted some changes where I capitalized genres in the infobox lists.

To me, Item1 · item2 · item3 looks wrong, because each item became an individual thing since they're clearly separated.

I went to the Wikipedia Infobox [1] page and here they also capitalize each item.

I was wondering if you agree that this looks better and more consistent.

Hello Parotrore. On Template:Infobox album it says "Note that most genres aren't proper nouns, and shouldn't be capitalized, but the first word in the list should be." If you look at the song and album articles in Wikipedia:Good articles/Music you will see this is established Wikipedia style. Random86 (talk) 02:11, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
@Random86: Hm, I also read that thing about proper nouns, but it's odd how they point to the notes which again uses capitalized items in the list. I think it would make sense to only capitalize the first item when using commas as separators like in My Boo (Usher and Alicia Keys song) and Another One Rides the Bus. But you've clearly shown the large majority uses the "Item1 · item2 · item3" way of doing the lists. I disagree, but I'll adapt to this style for consistency. Thanks for your response. Hi, sorry to bother you Just wanted to see if you can help me with this matter. Since January 2018 Gaon Chart stopped publishing their data on streaming and download charts and started giving certifications to the songs released in 2018, but for the songs released before 2018 they confirmed if those songs have surpassed the numbers required for a certification through Gaon Chart Community 1:1 문의 게시판 section (which is only accessible for members). Since then some songs including Bigbang's Bang Bang Bang, Twice's TT, IU's Palette, Black Pink's Playing with Fire and BTS's Spring Day have surpassed these milestones and received confirmation from Gaon [2] Isn't there a way to reflect this sales on Wikipedia discography pages considering that some of this songs have appeared on the existing Gaon Mid-year 2018 Download Chart? Hello Pooriyaa. I'm aware of the Gaon chart changes but unfortunately messages from the 1:1 Inquiry Board can't be used as sources on Wikipedia. They are private messages between Gaon staff and registered users so they are not verifiable. Screenshots of these messages posted on Twitter/Baidu could also easily be faked if someone wanted to do that (I don't believe they are, but it's a possibility). I noticed you reverted my edit about Red Velvet Red Room Hall tour attendance. You said the 20k attendance the source https://avexnet.jp/news/detail.php?id=1000348 mentioned is about the 2 Tokyo arena concerts in March.

Well you are absolutely right it mentioned that but if you kept reading later on it said that Red Velvet Red Room concerts mobilized total of 40k people in Japan that is where I got the 20k attendance for the Red Room Hall Tour. This few days old Rolling Stone Japan article http://rollingstonejapan.com/articles/detail/28899 also mentioned that Red Velvet Red Room mobilized total 40k people in Japan this year.

So basically 20k people for Red Room 2 arena concerts in March + 20k for Red Room Hall Tour = total of 40k people attendance for Red Room concerts in Japan. Kaisitten (talk) 08:26, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Request to undelete Shin Soohyun

Hello,

I noticed that back in 2015, the article for Shin Soohyun was deleted through the articles for deletion process, and subsequently merged with the article for U-KISS. I believe that the deletion may have been unwarranted (Shin Soohyun had already participated in multiple solo activities, but they weren't mentioned in his article) and I think that circumstances have also changed since then (Shin Soohyun has had multiple solo releases since then, which should pass the test for notability), so I'm following the guideline to contact the administrator who deleted it.

If possible, please unmerge that article and restore it in the latest version, so I can edit for past omissions and current updates.
