ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reefscape moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Reefscape. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because you may have a possible Conflict of Interest and not enough WP:SIRS to show notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. UtherSRG (talk) 19:11, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Good afternoon! Thanks for the feedback on the article. I have a few questions on why you moved it to draft.
I was wondering why you think I have a COI with the subject. While I do volunteer for FIRST, I am not a employee of the organization and have no business relationship with them. I was also wondering why the four secondary sources included in the article are not sufficient to determine that the article is notable enough to be published.
Please let me know so I can improve the article or step away from editing if a COI does exist. Rainclaw7 (talk) 19:28, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll provide COI info below... - UtherSRG (talk) 19:29, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the information. I agree that while volunteering might not be a professional connection, it is still a connection that could lead to at minimum a perceived COI. I will step away from editing this draft in accordance with the guidelines and have made the necessary talk page edits. Rainclaw7 (talk) 19:53, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for understanding. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:56, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
