Hello QEnigma. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Gormé Sings Showstoppers, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: @QEnigma: This would appear to me to be an attempt - howsoever malformed, but still made in good faith - to write about an album by Eydie Gormé. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:05, 8 January 2025 (UTC). Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:05, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Shirt58: Thank you for the update. Best regards. QEnigma talk 10:11, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- @QEnigma and SonicBoomSpaceMen3: Thanks for your reply, QEnigm. SonicBoomSpaceMen3, have done somewhat admittedly cursory WP:BEFORE to see if meets WP:NALBUMS, which it probably does. However, it would appear to me much the text of this draft contains content either similar to or substantially the same as this on the Discogs website. I note that at the bottom of each page is "© 2025 Discogs". Please also see Wikipedia:DISCOGS for why this this website is not acceptable as a reference. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 11:00, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Shirt58 While I know I'm not originally a part of this discussion, I'd like to throw my two cents in on this. While I don't agree with the speedy deletion, I do have concerns about what the depth of article about an album would be vs adding it as a subsection on Eydie Gormé's article.
- I'm speaking in terms of is there enough information publicly available to warrant a full separate article vs being rolled into the artist's article. I'm not against the album having its own article myself, but I'm finding it difficult to obtain great sources to build said article.
- I hope this helps push the discussion towards a resolution. TotallyNotSkyNet (talk) 13:09, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
