Improved workflow

In the future, if you are moving a page in order to create a dab in its place, simply edit the redirect to create the dab - there is no reason to G6 the redirect in order to move a draft, as you did with Daniel Bentley. It's not the end of the world that you did it, but it does mean extra/unnecessary work (especially for waiting around for an admin) and it's happened a couple of times now so I thought I would mention it. @Primefac: hello and thank you for the note. I am sorry if I was making the process complicated but I am confused. When I read the link WP:G6, it does mention tagging the article for a speedy delete for uncontroversial maintenance. Do we want the pre-history of the article redirects tied to the new DAB page? From my limited understanding, clean up was part of the admin process of deleting and moving the page (per WP:POSTMOVE). PigeonChickenFish (talk) 08:15, 5 February 2023 (UTC)

It doesn't really matter if what came before the dab was a redirect, so save yourself the wait and save an admin needing to take action and just overwrite the redirect. We do not need to "sanitise" the history of pages so that the only thing in them is related to the current version of the article. Primefac (talk) 09:01, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
