Also just a question do you have some sort of a bot or filter? Like I’m curious because I l changed it and then a second later it was reverted Nikolacuzmansr (talk) 05:20, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
I'm trying to add David Smith to Notable People. I've linked articles, and April 4th is David Owen Smith day in Ozark. Please HELP ME! 170.52.166.73 (talk) 22:24, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
Looks like the external link you add was either unnecessary/inaproppriate for the article. The subject is non-notable because they do not have an article, and therefore does not belong in the "Notable people" section. You may wish to create a draft for them, if you'd like. Petter Solberg
You have amended the description of Rallycross in Petter's article. In Europe it is still known and was always known as Rallycross. I recall going to the early events in the 1960's at Lydden Hill when it first started. I have never heard it referred to as "Cross" The official FIA website clearly refers to it as "Rallycross" The reference website is as follows: https://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/world-rx/Navrally (talk) 11:48, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
Hello! I'm a little new here. The proof I posted is one I created myself. Am I not allowed to post an original proof? Poeguy (talk) 21:58, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Hey there! I observe a lot of unsigned posts above, there's probably around 10 of them. I don't know what to do with them, I might as well go with either removing or archiving them, but what's your opinion on this? Thanks! TailsWx21:51, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
If you want to remove them that's fine by me. I've been trying to figure out how I wanted to archive them but since they aren't really legitimate messages, deleting them is totally fine :) thanks @Tails Wx! Appreciate you being a friendly talk page patroller Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:52, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
No problem! If you want me to manually archive them, feel free to ask, otherwise, I'll delete them right now! Anyways, there's a lot of archives from your user talk page, e.g. this one. Is there a way to organize all these archives? TailsWx21:56, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Hmm. I'll try running tests on my alternate accounts' sandboxes, see if I can list them. I'll test them out right now, I'll notify you whenever I'm done! :) TailsWx21:59, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
No problem! Do you know how to collapse it? Because I just asked at the Teahouse on how to... I've taken back the request, but you do know how to? I've spend the last 15 minutes trying to work it out! TailsWx22:56, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
I have changed the spelling variation judgement in the articles to make it more consistent as they predominantly use American Spelling. The standard spelling is judgment (American):
I have tried numerous times to publish a page about a charity and you keep blocking it, you refer me to the article on writting an article which I have read 3-4 times, I have properly referenced the page, and the page was of significance, with multiple mentions from government websites, a leading off road motorcycle manufacturer did a press release about this charity, they have me the prime minister of Australia a few times, but each time I update it it gets pulled down.
I am really at a loss here why it is such a big issue that such an important charity cannot be on wikipedia, multiple other charities are able to get pages on wikipedia so I am curious why this one doesn't get to stay, and any attempt to ask I just get a generic answer that doesn't seem to add up.
@Benking84 Wikipedia is not a place to advertise. Your articles have used language that is promotional. Additionally. I noted that the subject of the article has not received significant coverage and other editors have indicated the page reads like advertising. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:57, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
It is a charity, it doesn't sell anything. I updated the language to be neutral, can you provide a concrete example in the artlcle of a part that sounds like advertising so I can understand what you mean?
Here's what you need to find for your subject regarding significant coverage:
The depth of coverage of the subject by the source must be considered. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject is not sufficient to establish notability. Deep or significant coverage provides an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation of the product, company, or organization. Such coverage provides an organization with a level of attention that extends well beyond brief mentions and routine announcements, and makes it possible to write more than a very brief, incomplete stub about the organization.
Advertising, marketing or public relations. Information about companies and products must be written in an objective and unbiased style, free of puffery. All article topics must be verifiable with independent, third-party sources, so articles about very small garage bands or local companies are typically unacceptable. Wikipedia articles about a person, company or organization are not an extension of their website, press releases, or other social media marketing efforts. External links to commercial organizations are acceptable if they identify notable organizations which are the topic of the article. Wikipedia neither endorses organizations nor runs affiliate programs. See also Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for guidelines on corporate notability. Those promoting causes or events, or issuing public service announcements, even if noncommercial, should use a forum other than Wikipedia to do so. Contributors must disclose any payments they receive for editing Wikipedia. See also Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § Paid editing.
Your draft pretty needs to avoid promotional material that is designed to puff up the subject, regardless of whether or not the subject sells products.
I hope that helps explain why I've warned you for creating inappropriate pages.
That make sense, I copied the wording of the wikipedia article on greenpeace so the style and tone is the same as that.
I also added a number of new references, these are from news sources, press releases, etc that directly mention if not are entirely focused on the subject matter, now totalling 21 articles. KTM, The Guardian, a few submissions from the government, is this enough? Benking84 (talk) 22:29, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
@Benking84 I don't believe the sources you have added indicate notability. You could try asking for help at the Teahouse or the Help Desk. Someone may be able to assist you or help you find coverage that establish notability there. I also still think the language is quite promotional. Philipnelson99 (talk) 22:36, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
