Hi Phil! Its been long since we talked last, how are you? I want to make an announcement but I can't figure out any other way but to drop a note on few intimate editor's talk page, including you! I appreciate if you can have few minutes to spend on reading this thread on my talk page. If you feel that I deserve a scholarship, I appreciate your endorsement on that thread. Please don't consider this an unusual spamming, I don't have any other way of announcing this. Thank you very much! Have a nice day! JimCarter12:51, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your edits to Henry Murray (British Army officer) (diff), but there are two problems. The first is that the article is using short inline citations and long citations in a reference section. Please could you reformat you new citation so that it is in the same style as the other two citations? The second and more serious problem is that you have added information to a fully cited paragraph. In doing this it looks as if the new information is supported by the old citation (which it is not) so could you please an additional citation to support your new text. -- PBS (talk) 17:40, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. I doubt that two weeks' move protection will make any odds but it is worth a try. Their three past moves have occurred over something like an 18 month period, so a fortnight is nothing. I'll see if I can kick off a discussion for them. - Sitush (talk) 08:17, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
This is getting to be a real pain - it's hard to tell what's been moved where. My patience is wearing thin and as it stands a block is not far off if this disruption continues. Philg88 ♦talk08:33, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
13:31 Namur is contested: move target has a disambiguation page, a Talk:Namur exists, with content about disambiguation of the topics named "Namur", and Namur is not identified as Primary Topic [2]
14:10 User:Tridek Sep moves Namur items to the section "Uncontroversial technical requests", disguising the edit with a false allegation "Unexplained content removal" [3]
1) You only opposed 14:30 after having seen the proposals several times before. 2) Your reasoning "also involve geographical names" is not a valid reason for contesting. Your requests have not been contested because they "involve geographical names", but because they are controversial. Thousands of articles use the class name in upper case in the English Wikipedia. There is no controversy with respect to simple capitalization fixes. Your proposal on the other hand involves moving an article to an ambiguous name. Domlesch (talk) 16:58, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
I indeed opposed at 14:30 after seeing your proposals also involved geographical names (just as Namur is a geographical name). I probably should have listed Namur as a controversial proposal in the first place, but I did not think this was neccesary because there was never a discussion about this. I, however, think you are wrong when you claim that the proposals you made are not controversial. I also do not like the fact that you accuse me of edit warring on this talk page, this is clearly not what I do on Wikipedia! Tridek Sep (talk) 17:28, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure quite what you expect me to do here but for what it's worth I subscribe to the idea that "Valley" should be capitalised in the affected articles as the names of fixed geographical features are by definition proper nouns. If this requires further discussion then I suggest that it takes place elsewhere, Wikiproject Geography would seem the logical place. If it can't be resolved there through consensus then you will need to seek dispute resolution. Philg88 ♦talk17:38, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Dilshad
Hi. The move log said that you moved Dilshad back to Dilshad Khan, as I had requested at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests, but when I looked, the content was still at Dilshad and Dilshad Khan still redirected to Dilshad. Then I tried to do the move myself, even though it didn't work when I tried it this morning (which is why I'd posted the request), and this time it worked. But how is it that the move was recorded in the log when it didn't happen?
Weird. Azhar sulfikar moved it back at 17:26 UTC, but that didn't show up in the Move Log entries that appeared in my watch list till just now, even though I'd reloaded it several times before. So that explains it. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:11, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Hello, I just expanded the Siri Derkert article. It is not a big article but I think she deserves some good language so your help would be much appreciated. If/when you have the time. Cheers, w.carter-Talk19:50, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Raj Bhavan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
Hi! Do you think you could take a look at this new article. It is a subject I more or less stumbled upon and a bit outside what I usually write about, so a lot of words and terminology that I'm unfamiliar with (= great potential for errors). No rush! Best, w.carter-Talk11:02, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
Donekompis. Certainly a diversion from your normal topic areas.
Hello wonderful Phil. How are things? Long time. Please, if you have a mo', take a look at this. I'm not sure how to translate "双创" any better. If you can, I'd be grateful.
You might also be amused at the source about the big city meeting where a record 23,756,345,678,234,436,223 words were spoken during 4,343 hours of speeches. (Apparently, special attendants were on hand to remove audience members who had turned into skeletons.) Anyhow, I was able to extract only a single sentence of useful information from it. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:09, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Hello my dear friend. A long time indeed. 双创 is a bit troublesome since there is no equivalent phrase in English. I suppose "Double Bubble" is close in terms of stressing the positive meaning but it doesn't have the nuance of starting something. That was almost a Chinese politicians answer in terms of verbosity. The short answer: it's fine as it is.
The length of the speeches surprises me not. I have sat through days of that sort of verbage, and worse, I had to translate it. Best, Philg88 ♦talk08:25, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for the feedback and edit. Sorry to hear you were present at such meetings. On the upside, you got out before turning into a skeleton. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:13, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Corrections / additions to 'Piprahwa' Wiki article
Very many thanks for your recent additions / corrections to the Wiki article on Piprahwa (viz, the additions of links to the A A Fuhrer references). As someone who is uninitiated into the arcane Mysteries of Wiki editing I greatly welcomed the inclusion of these, which helped to provide much-needed balance. Great stuff, and again my thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taphelps (talk • contribs) 09:59, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Slade (surname), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Slade. Phil, you had done some non-controversial moves requested by 91.9.120.145. That's an IPsock of Tobias Conradi and anything he requests is nothing but controversial! We just spent a lot of time cleaning up after three of his socks who had moved a boat load of articles, categories, and templates last month. He's now using an IP to request such moves at that page. Thought I'd let you know for the future. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff17:53, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
The word uncontroversial should be deprecated from Wiki lexicon! Sadly, this socking has been going on since 2007 when he was first community banned and then arbcom banned and all that other fancy stuff. —SpacemanSpiff18:18, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
This is something that has been bugging me this week. It all started in ITN and I sort of could not just let it go. You've been around here a lot longer than I have, is this worth pursuing or is this a no-win situation (pardon the pun) and I'm just being anal? Well, more anal than usual. w.carter-Talk13:46, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Hmm... "Recipient" certainly sounds appropriate but a lot of people will argue that "winner" is just as valid for multifarious reasons. You will never find a definitive answer, but the showstopper will be "It's a prize. People win prizes", which is indisputablely correct as is "People receive prizes" and so on ad nauseum or infinitum or both. Bottom line. If it's really important to you then test the waters at Talk: Nobel Prize (the template doesn't get enough traffic to pique other editors' attention) but be prepared to drop it unless you want to spend an awful lot of time on long sematic, nay pedantic argument — time that might be better spent elsewhere. Best, Philg88 ♦talk15:36, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the input, I think it is very much an uphill battle and I have better things to do at night. I was mainly using you for "testing the water" in your capacity of native English speaker and linguist. Grating as I may find it to hear it (...aaand the winner is!) I'm not starting something that is futile. Cheers, w.carter-Talk15:51, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi my dear friend. Could you please copyedit this article? I would be glad if you could copyedit and move the article to Coloni C4B (uncontroversial move request). Thank you :) JimCarter12:39, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Not a problem but please fix the disambiguation and referencing issues first. Philg88 ♦talk
I fixed the dab problem, however, I don't see which referencing issues you are referring me to. Could you please solve the referencing issues, if they are not much time consuming or point me to the problem. Thanks! JimCarter14:12, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Okay, I see what's the problem is and I assure it's nothing serious (I've fixed few of them). I'm travelling currently, you may go ahead and do the copyediting and moving. I'll be fixing them once I return. Be assured, after moving, I will be fixing them as I may nominate it for GA. Cheers, JimCarter15:08, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Done Less of a copy-edit more of a rewrite. There are still some parts that I can't make head nor tail of, which I've tagged accordingly. You might also consider rewriting and restructuring the South African world championship section as it requires further work. Philg88 ♦talk07:47, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Phil! I clarified the things you pointed. And I'm sorry that you had to do a rewrite. It's rather frustrating when you have to sit in the library for hours, verifying and translating the German language magazines into English with 100% accuracy in your mind and still after you translate it, you find lots of things which makes no sense. Since I don't trust Google Translate that much, I used my skills (with a combination of Google translate) to do the translating work, but it seems like I have to continue learning German. The article could have been much longer if I have understood all the meaning of all the sentences. BTW could you move it to Coloni C4B? Cheers! JimCarter09:44, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
I would like to introduce this dimension of truth to you, which sadly has been overlooked while writing the article. I don't understand what is the point of giving the statement comparing Maharani LakshmiBai with a woman of lowly background. For your kind information, Let me tell you, people in India worship her as a Goddess, people revere her as a true hero. And the reason is justified, barely the world has seen the likes of fearless Woman warriors like Maharani LakshmiBai.
I would request you to kindly omit the part which includes the statement of Thomas Iowe. It does not relate to the context at hand but it naturally impacts the image of the Great Queen. It is hurtful to the sentiments of People. I humbly hope you can relate it to your erudition. For now I have removed it, kindly let it be, or remove it as you think of it fitting.
@61.16.134.158: I assume you are talking about the Rani of Jhansi. Wikipedia is not censored and while you may consider it "hurtful", the information given is a quote from a reliable source and there is no reason to remove it according to our policies and guidelines. Please leave the article as it is with the information included. Thanks. Philg88 ♦talk06:50, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Request for an open street map to display at Kollam meighbourhood articles
Thanks for your immense helps for improving our Kollam article.
I need your help for getting an open street map of Kollam city, like the one used by Golden Rock, Tiruchirappalli article.
Can I expect your help??
I notice you have recently moved some of these to remove the "Sir" at the front; I have moved some of them back. Please read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility), specifically paragraph 3 of the section on British nobility. If you don't agree with this convention, or think it shouldn't apply in an individual case, you should start a discussion at the relevant talk page. Opera hat (talk) 22:38, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
@Opera hat: You are quite correct, sorry about that. Since Her Maj would be horrified by the accidental elevation of a mere baronet to a hereditary peerage, I have no intention of disrupting the status quo through a guideline discussion. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk06:12, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Although I provided a source, White_whirlwind (talk·contribs) reverted my versions, and he distorted my edits as if I was obstinate in his comments on the Han dynasty. Even, I asked proving the historical presence of Han in the modern South Korea, but he sidestepped the question. Who was wrong? I appeal to your better judgment. Thanks.--Ph (talk) 02:51, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
@Ph: It's not for me to decide who is "right" or "wrong". What I will say is that your continued failure to follow our guidelines does not bode well for a long editing career here at English Wikipedia. Both White whirlwind and Zanhe have explained that you need to follow reliable sources. If you don't and continue to behave in a disruptive manner then your editing privileges will be withdrawn. Thanks Philg88 ♦talk07:35, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, but the topic is a bit too scientific for me. I suggest you find someone who knows more about this sort of thing than I do, which shouldn't be difficult. Philg88 ♦talk18:41, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
There is a note in the above article. It says "do not stick in Indian or Pole". It doesn't make any sense. What is it? A.U (talk) 06:08, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
It means do not add a nationality like "Indian" or "Pole". Even Jules Verne didn't know (or didn't want his readers to know) where Nemo came from to make him more mysterious. Philg88 ♦talk06:59, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
But in the original manuscript, he had him a Pole. In The Mysterious Island, he is an Indian. So, Jules Verne did know. Nemo is a Pole. The Indian disguise was forced by Hetzel who feared to offend the Russian audience, but did not care about his country's old enemy UK. So, your last comment is false. A.U (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:42, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
I'm working on the Mästermyr chest and there is one of the tools I can not find the exact translation for. It is this kind of woodworking tool. It is sort of a gouge, but much bigger. It can be used for making troughs/bowls or for shaving logs and making them smooth. In Swedish it's called skavjärn, a direct translation would be "scraping iron". Do you have any idea? w.carter-Talk22:52, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! I think I'll go with the general 'drawknife' since there are two of them, one straight and one curved. Getting the terminology right for these tools is more important than you might think since the chest, including tools, is copied by Viking enthusiasts all over the world. I'll include a note about this in the article.
After an email enquiry to the museum about pictures, I got some very good news. The museum's own photos are still copyrighted, but they have recently released all the original documentation of their objects to Public Domain. That includes the digital copies like this one, and they should be treated as documents from a government agency with this tag. I love friendly museums! :) So there is now documentation for about 10 million objects free for us to use. Cheers, w.carter-Talk08:59, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
The Wikipedia Asian Month will begin in less than an hours, and once again, thank you for signing up! Let's help the world know more about Asia! Below are a few reminders for you:
Please check out the rules here. Some rules have been adjusted—the most important being that on the English Wikipedia, stubs may be expanded with some limitations.
Do take the time to read the Q&A if you have any questions, or ask on the talk page.
The list of participants has been alphabetized so you can more easily find your name and report your contributions.
Hi there EvMsmile and thanks for the message. I think that where there is sufficient sourced information on a country's water and sanitation infrastructure then there is no reason why a subsection can't be added to an existing "Economy" section or elsewhere if appropriate. That said, Wikipedia works on consensus and mine is a single opinion. I think you need to address the issue on a case by case basis and as a separate activity start a generalised discussion on the template issue. Good luck, Philg88 ♦talk07:40, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
Hello Philg88, now my next article. William Fetter in German is in the ANR and English on my user page. I am not finished with all the syntax corrections and some small translation in the references - I do it this week. The text is finished and can use some corrections. I will ask @W.carter: also for help.
Hi there Maxim, welcome back! To avoid the attentions of the Notability Police, the first thing I suggest you do is to convert the external links into references. A single reference isn't sufficient for en Wikipedia. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk17:44, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
@Maxim Pouska: Sorry, the references I was referring to are those for the existing stub that you linked above. I've now found the other version in your sandbox and will see what I can do with that. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk07:42, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Hello Philg88, I corrected in the last days many small errors like syntax and translations. But now I don't find more. I hope you now have less work with my text. Best.--Maxim Pouska (talk) 05:54, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi Maxim, I have copyedited the article and left a number of requests for clarification. It is shaping up nicely but still needs some work. Cheers, Philg88 ♦talk06:57, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
@Philg88: Hello today I did a last correction of the Article [William Alan Fetter] on my user page. I did the work you asked for and thanks to the help by @W.carter: I fixed some more and now the last link – deleted because he is no more to find. Can you please now merge my article with the old stub about William Fetter. The lemmata for the article is best William Fetter and not William Alan Fetter. Best.--Maxim Pouska (talk) 14:09, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
It was not an experiment, and I found it be constructive. I added that he is Fenno-Swedish (which he is) and linked to the page "Finnish-Americans" because it includes Fenno-Swedish Americans too.
What should I have done better? Leave out the link? And maybe change to sources that say he is Fenno-Swedish? (didn't read the sources so they might have already mentioned that). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.112.194.130 (talk) 01:17, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Hi IP 213.112.194.130. Actually, in Wikipedia terminology Linus Torvalds is a Swedo-Finnish American. This term is preferred over Fenno-swedes which is a redirect. Swedo-Finnish are not to be confused with Sweden Finns. It is understandable if Philg88 and other non-Swedes and non-Finns does not know about these distinctions. Nevertheless, the first sentence in a Wikipedia article only deals with what citizenship/nationality a person has and not what group of people within that country they belong to. What kind of Finn he is, is addressed in the first part of the Linus Torvalds#Early years section in the article (with a link to Swedish-speaking population of Finland), where it belongs. I know that most Swedo-Finns are very particular about being addressed as such, but in the lead section of a Wikipedia article it only matters what the passport says so it was right to remove your edit. Cheers (from the Swedish editor), w.carter-Talk06:42, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi my dear, Phil! I'm extremely sorry that I have been flooding your talk page with so many copyedit requests. I feel bad to trouble you every time, but you see, the skill you possess is something I will need 100years to attain. So, can you do me another favor? If you are not already preoccupied with other important things, could you please lend your expert hands on this little list I've created? :) Thank you very much! JimCarter15:15, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
I have moved it as the title was grammatically incorrect and then cleaned up as much as I can. The meaning in two places remains unclear as indicated in the article. Philg88 ♦talk15:52, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
I have clarified the two requests which you have left in the article. Please take a look. BTW thanks a lot for moving the article! JimCarter11:02, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Phil! Do you have some time to copyedit this small draft? I'll be merging it (cut-and-paste) to Henri Desbordes once a bit of clean up is done. Thanks a million times JimCarter15:04, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Done, and as I think I've said before please start a new section for a new topic/request otherwise it is difficult to keep track of where you're posting. Philg88 ♦talk15:15, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
I know you feel disturbed for my repeated requests, another request, small one here. I'm sorry for this, I'll not annoy you again for some time. Thank you! JimCarter08:56, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
No problem with the request, the problem is that the article is incorrect. Brush pots originated in China, not Korea a lot earlier than the Joseon. I'd recommend you do some significant background reading before continuing. Philg88 ♦talk09:07, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Can you point me to a source for that? I couldn't find much in Google Books about Brush pot's history, this is not my subject I actually need your help. Thanks! JimCarter09:28, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Sorry no, I'm happy to help with copyediting but I'm afraid you'll have to do your own research. A lot of the sources will be in Chinese so its probably not the ideal topic for someone who can't read the language. Philg88 ♦talk10:04, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Ok, no problem. Then could you please help copyedit the other sections? I'll remove the background section, and merge it with the existing article. Then I may ask Zanhe for additional help. Cheers! JimCarter10:10, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
sir the article about Khalistan movement
i know you have written article on th bases of Bias-Media which doesn't show one sided. Being a Stranded of particular region , I have read lot of things about this movement . sir it's fine if you want to write , you can write but pls have deep rooted knowledge . now also present time , that is today I don't know you heard but police picked innocent youth and put them under bar with false cases . I know you won't believe in me . sir you are quite far siting and enjoying tea but come here , you will lend too much info , what's going on .
can you imagine , Bunch of people register with case in which they are blamed to be anti nation . reason was they come up and raised their voice against cruelty . and strange thing Media showing one side of scene
sir I really disappointed about things which were written . sir I respect your site but pls go thru the whole thing
I've added a couple of bytes to the Swedish History Museum, and since it is one of our most important museums I figured it deserves some good language. Would you mind taking a look at it when you have the time and feel so inclined? Caution! Article is very dry. Be sure to don dust goggles and grab a beer before entering. Cheers, w.carter-Talk11:04, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much! I'll have to start looking for the top icon for that extra privilege. And thanks for teaching me a new word: "aegis". I'll make corf my next little project. It is a very common item for anyone who's ever fished in the Stockholm archipelago and more diverse than the article currently says. best, w.carter-Talk14:31, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
You're welcome. "Aegis" is indeed a fine word. Apropos (there's another) "corf" I was horrified to find an article with "or" in the title and quickly remedied the situation. I mean really, a universal font of knowledge that isn't sure how to spell something ... Philg88 ♦talk15:56, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
... ahem... hi again. Trust me to step into a mess. When I settled down last night to add to the corf article, I noticed that is was not only about fishing any longer, it was also about mining diff. Two very different uses of the word in the same article. Someone had originally made a page with a dubious spelling and someone else had in fact made a disambiguation page, only without the disambiguation. (In their defense, it put us on the right track since there were heaps of Victorian articles on mining that were linked to the original fishing article.) Looking at the pages that linked to it, it was clear that both uses of the word were equally popular, so I figured that a "real" disamb page was in order. (Sidebar: When used in fishing it is usually spelled "corf", while the mining stuff seems to prefer "corve".) I moved the page to Corf (fishing) to make way for Corf disamb and then split Corf (mining) from the fishy article. I added hat notes to the two articles. So far so good. After that I went about fixing the links to Corf and sorting them to fishing or mining. (Look at my contribs) I also sorted out the links that had been made to Corf or Corve, but in doing so I found another disamb page: CORF. This is where I stopped. Should the two entries at Corf be added to CORF and the first page be removed or made into a redirect or are these two spellings considered different, or...? Other hat notes on all articles?? Advice and/or help would be much appreciated. w.carter-Talk00:01, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
...Hm... WP:TWODABS. There isn't really a need for a separate disambiguation page here as there isn't a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Corf could have been supplemented with Corf (mining) with a hatnote on the former. This is why you've hit an issue with CORF, which is a red herring anyway - readers do not generally type in upper case and the framework doesn't care - a search for "corf" will take you right there. I would suggest that you put the fishing corf back at the base name, keep and expand corf (mining) and ignore CORF. You will need a friendly admin to move corf (fishing) because of the page history. Luckily, you know one Philg88 ♦talk
Ah! Me stupid, You elegant solution finder. So, can I make a request here to said friendly admin to move corf (fishing) back to corf or should I make a formal request at Uncontroversial technical requests After Screw-ups? Could a redirect be left at corf (fishing) while I change all the fishy links back to the original, after which I guess that page can be deleted? Thanks for sorting this out, w.carter-Talk08:07, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Strange how we started this with the Swedish History museum and ended up dealing with an odd kettle corf of fish. Anyway, I've moved corf back with a redirect in place so that you can sort out the links. Let me know when that's done and I'll zap the redundant page. Best, Philg88 ♦talk08:25, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
"The WP moves in mysterious ways." All the fishy links are now going to the corf, corf (fishing) is all yours to zap. Talking about strange things that the WP does: After all the source-searching I did for Blasting mat, the search engines and pesky cookies are still flashing me adverts for dynamite and mining equipment. It's educational. Need something blown up? Give me a call. w.carter-Talk09:24, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Would you be interested in helping out with a map of diamond mines in Botswana/South Africa? It would be great to have one for two articles (ITN Candidates → Posted): Karowe AK6 and Lucara Diamond. I found one on this site that I'm almost tempted to nick. A usable verison of that one would be nice. I have only made maps of very local things, so I'm not 100% sure how to make one like this, hence the request. If you don't have the time, just say so and I'll try it myself. Best, w.carter-Talk20:24, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
...Hmm kompis. Alas, my map making muse appears to have deserted me right now - possibly due to burn out from making too many. Can I suggest that you add the second Tsodilo Resources map as an external link? That will also avoid any potential copyright issues. Best, Philg88 ♦talk07:38, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Excellent idea, my friend, I'll add the link 'til I've figured out how to make a passable map myself. You might consider removing the offer to make maps temporarily from your user page, until the muse returns. Also thanks for adding the date to the article. In all the hustle and bustle of searching news articles for facts and what with the ITN and all, I was stressed and forgot many basic things in the article. But it was an exciting find and I got a bit carried away. Cheers, w.carter-Talk10:48, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

In less than 24 hours you closed this? what about my counter-position? I may have made a storm in a glass of water, but I had an intention in this (which was not blocking him, but a warning to the user about their behavior towards others and consider opinions of others), and I was going to clarify in the discussion. Well, it seems that I can directly call someone "mama's boy", "stupid", "immature", etc. in this wikipedia, which it seems to work more like a forum than a community, and is perfectly right and proper to do that. Good luck. --Shadowxfox (talk) 14:07, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)@Shadowxfox: A quick search shows that "stupid" is used 32,036 times, "immature" 4,164 times and "mama's boy" 61 times on user talk pages. If every one of those were to be investigated at ANI, very little work on building the encyclopedia would be done here. Such minor name callings are usually settled on the participants' talk pages without the help of admins. w.carter-Talk16:09, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
@W.carter and Philg88: Due to this, I now understand everything clearly:
If you are a veteran editor with many editions, and several featured articles; you are a sacred cow, is well trolling other users. If you are a low-level user with few editions, how you dare you waste our time?
Forgetting the sarcastic joke from above, I go to the real point: this user has a long history of misconduct with me and others users not only here but in Commons, and nobody has stopped him. Do you know why ? because he knows it, and he knows very well how to avoid warnings and admonitions against him.
I know all of you take this as a tantrum on my part, but seriously, it's necessary someone tell him to calm his horses and respect other users.
Have a good day gentlemen!--Shadowxfox (talk) 17:03, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
